I'm glad that I'm naturally paranoid. I put my wallet and phone in difficult to access pockets, put important things at the bottom of my bag and I cover the ATM keypad with my other hand.

Think of the upset these people must have caused they are all in the same category in my opinion, my son lost his iPhone to a pickpocket year ago they should have seen his face. I saw somewhere that whoever does the filming of these shows, if they don't actually see or film the crime, then they can get away with it, the criminals can argue it's just all talk, and the crims can even sue the company filming. But if they film and show the actual crime taking place, then they have to hand the footage over to police. Apparently they all have to sign papers and things saying all this. I'm not sure on the details. But basically he will get away with it most likely. Don't get me wrong though, they're still not very bright in any way lol

I remember accidently taking a hair bobble when I was 4 years old. I had put it round my wrist and forgotten about it. I realised when we got home then showed my mum what had happened and she marched me back down to the shop and taught me a massive lesson, believe me.

i heard somewhere that they wont give names to police because they actually sign a document stating if they turn them into police the crims can sue the BBC or whoever does it but if they actually witness a crime they are obligated to hand footage over to police but lets be real its the BBC they are so far left that they aren't going to report Romanians stealing from white people or a poor "working class" stealing from a "rich capitalist pig"

Police are absolutely useless and a failing judicial system... I found my burglar filmed/wrote blog on my burglary and police won't act. WTF! Why you think criminals target travel here to commit crime...because there is absolutely no consequence in the UNLIKELY event they get caught.

The people in this video are likely trying to teach the viewer~how to prevent "pickpocketing" by showing exactly what & how they perform this shameful act of theft...forewarned is forearmed. I've seen people who could steal your underwear off your body without you noticing. Trust me, there are techniques that can be used to steal your actual pocket, let alone what's inside of it. If they are good, you would never notice it, until you go to pay for something.
I think being aware of the possibility makes a big difference. I have definitely felt something from time to time but nothing stolen. If I was immediately prepared to respond then they may be in trouble, if I have to think about it then they are probably long gone.

I'm sure the anti-romanians will tear me apart for saying this, but I respect them much more than that Rob character. I'm not justifying theft, but I have much more respect for someone who is stealing to give their family a better life than someone who steals because it's easy. The pickpocketing they practice actually calls for diligence, practice, and teamwork. It also appears that their number one goal is to no longer steal and return home. Rob, on the other hand, openly preys on old ladies and cripples, instead of tourists and drunks. He does "jobs" that a pickpocket never would, and he doesn't even put in the effort to shower or blend in. If I saw him milling around a shopping center from 40 meters off, I would know what he was there for. It is examples ike him, the stereotypical sneaky junkie, that cause society to be so unforgiving when good people are afflicted by addiction. While I can't admit to know the circumstances that drove him to his lifestyle, I would find it hard to believe his line of work is anything but laziness.
They stea because they cannot get jobs here in Romania becasue our economy is shit! They try to go abroad to work but with little or no success because of racism and xenophobism, and they become poorer because the money that they got from back home are running out and they cannot go home so they resort to theft to make a living.
