I’m confused. Why do you have so „few“ subscribers? You deserve much more! Your videos are interesting, funny, well made and really informative and encouraging! Subscribed immediately!
Well this is one of the nicest comments ever, thank you so much 🙏🏼 I only started on my RU-vid journey about 12 months ago so it's a slow-building thing I guess 😀
Algorithms, data arrival, and originality. She's better at explaining, but someone who already had over 1million subscribers already talked about it, even if they were completely wrong... Algorithms are kind of biased and just sometimes prefer stupidity
People can say what they want but one cannot deny the immediate health benefits (physical and mental) after the first sauna session. After my first session, I had an amazing result! Mental clarity/ positivity and an over all great empowered feeling! Physically, my face looked wayyy younger, dark circles under my eyes significantly decreased, all my skin feels smoother and is glowing. I paired this up with juice fasting= success! Now I’m going to introduce lumphatic drainage massage then head for a infrared sauna sess and continue juicing. I’m doing all this to treat myself from fibromyalgia and digestive issues. ITS WORKING!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Your 7 day fast brought me to your channel….I’ve been fasting since April and so far so good (knock on wood) I’m doing mostly a 20/4 fast and once a week I try to get to a full 24 hour fast. Looking to get my body into Autophagy and start the healing process. My blood pressure has already decreased and I have cut my meds in half! I was pleased to see all your other videos and this one was very informative as I have a infrared sauna that I mostly use in the cooler months of the year…So happy to have found you!
@@LauraTryUK Hi ya I kind of took a chance and bought a random brand from ebay that looked popular, 'DGYAO' red & near infrared light therapy pad. It's from China and the prices seem to range from £121 - 150 for the same product, so don't get caught out paying to much. 🙏🏿
@@LauraTryUK I have a background in deep tissue massage and I was a PT/fitness coach for 18yrs focusing on injury recovery and postural analysis and all things holistic. I have found it to be very good for my painful hip and lower back, (believe me if it was rubbish I would have chucked it). I can only comment on this pad and cannot compair it to anything else on the market, there may well be other brands that are better 🤷🏿♂️ Great channel, loving your journey and I have subscribed 🙏🏿😊
I suffer from anxiety I don't think I have the space at home for such fantastic Sauna however relaxing while taking a warm bath has help me a lot. Even though Sauna and taking a bath are 2 separate things I can some how relate. Your video are always educational. Thank you Laura
Hey there, I am doing some research on whether similar benefits can come from a warm/hot bath - so far it suggests it does. I am thinking about making a video about it. In the meantime - search Dr Rhonda bath and sauna and hopefully the video will show up.
We have the same infrared sauna by Jacuzzi and we love it! We have ours out back by the pool and love listening to music 💃from it as well as, the detoxifying and relaxing benefits! 🙏🧘🙏 Edit: I've watched your 7day fasting video then this one and find your channel to be very informative! For those reasons... you've gained a new sub! ☺️ 6/27/21
@@zackary1232 so sorry I'm just now seeing this 6/10/23 😊 It was $6500 and delivered on multiple pallets in 2019...rite before the pandemic! 😷 I had gone on an extended vacation and when I returned home...he and a few friends had it built up! He even built a platform for it so it didn't get water rot! 👍🤗
Laura...just discovered your vids. You've done/are doing everything I'm starting to do. The covid hucksters/poison-pushers aren't taking me down without a fight, so I've decided the best way to fight back is to be the healthiest I can be. Fasting, ice baths/showers, Wim Hof breathing, diet/exercise, breatharian exploration, I'm all in. Just turned 72, run hurdles at masters' track events, look 20 years younger. Thanks for the inspiration.
Only found your channel recently so going through older videos. I did try to get an infrared sauna but a little expensive in Ireland so checked around and got some of the infrared lamps and used a plant grow tent and find they work great. I'm sure not as good but a lot cheaper and still plenty of sweating after a while inside the tent. Look forward to seeing more of your videos.
This has to be the law of attraction. I just finished a novel last night in which the beautiful heroine kept saying “Cor!” - and I haven’t heard anyone else say that in decades or more. Thank you! I just got a portable steam sauna but am getting signs for infrared now too and wanted to know the differences in benefits. 💖 A cheerful life is the best way! Wishing you all the happiness in the world! From here in Canada, eh! I just noticed another Pohl was the last comment so this really is the law of attraction. Synchronicity is always a good sign from the universe. 💖♾🧘♀️🌸🦋✨
My understanding from a chemist who made a video on 'where does the fat go' like any chemical reaction when fat is broken down to burn as energy, the waste products leave in our sweat, faeces, urine and breath. So Sweat, can be evidence of burning fat. It can also just be water released to keep the body from over heating though. It doesn't contain 'toxins' per say. Heat increases lymphatic drainage, which IS one of the ways our body removes toxins, as well as through the liver. The liver also enjoys heat therapy, I believe. So I don't think that sweat always = fat loss. But it can be, depending on the situation. In this case the research suggests infared light does break down fat, so it probably aids, along with a healthy lifestyle, in fat loss.
I've had a small amount of experience with the infrared saunas, and they're comfortable. I was in one which allowed music to play inside, so I brought a CD of classical music, MINUETS to be precise, and i was in there for a few minutes with my Dad. I wanted to try the machine. Infrared is extremely cool. Better than the old fashioned saunas.
I got 4 bulb fixture I wallpapered my toilet with emergency blankets. Just began to use it recommended by my md. My complexion has never looked so good. Thanks for the information
cliff longlands Thanks Laura ,i have been thinking about getting one of these as well ,for me now after your excellent vid ,i need to buy one tout suite ,thanks xxcliff
I have pretty severe black mold toxicity at the moment that has me unable to walk, and part of my treatment is an infrared sauna. Supposedly sweating out the mycotoxins is one of the only ways to get that shit out. Mixing saunas, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IV vitamin treatments, and lots of supplements and hoping for the best 🤞
@@garyhiland6013 Hi! So miraculously, all of the treatment I listed absolutely turned my health around. Crazy reading that I made that comment only 6 months ago. I'm now fully able to walk again with zero mobility aids, i've even started roller skating and have no more agonizing pain. I still get flare ups of body aches and various symptoms, but NOTHING compared to the second to second hell I was living in. Recovery has been weird and non-linear, but pretty unbelievable how bodies can bounce back like this. If you're going through similar i'm so rooting for you. It's rough, through and through.
Yet another great video Laura. Do you find them expensive to run? Just like to say I bought a whisky barrel after watching your ice bath video. Can’t wait to use it….sort of 🥶
Hey Paul, this one costs about 30p to run per hour. and wow to the whisky barrel! That is AWESOME!!! I'm struggling to get the water cold enough in my bin right now (summer time) so am going to start cold showers 🥶
Just discovered your channel. This is the fourth video of yours I've watched. All very interesting stuff. Good variety of topics, well presented. Sorry you have to sell your sauna. Keep it coming. Cheers.
That’ll be the healthy diet then.. I’ve got a rock to sell you. You put it in boiling water and it makes the most delicious soup! Just add vegetables and seasoning!
Hmm interesting. I have myself a regular sauna and that bad boy uses something crazy like 5000w power and hour. Maybe I should try this one day. I do have a lot of neck pain generally.
@@LauraTryUK Yes, that is quite a lot. 5000W would be like 2-3 vacuum cleaners running full blast and I believe they are one of the biggest consumers of electric power in a household. Then again, a sauna does a lot for you and all that heat needs to come from somewhere 😅
I thought infrared saunas don't get hot enough to give the same benefit as regular. Rhonda Patrick makes a point to talk about the temperature needed and from what I read infrared saunas can't get that hot
I love your commitment to report tge accurate and realistic experimental information. It's really needed these days. By the way ... why do you keep saying "so-ona" 😄 ... it's Sauna lady... Sauna. 😄 BTW, thumbs up 👍 from me
I really like your style! Subscribing! And also about to step into a infrared sauna! I usually go 4-5 times a week for 20 minutes I’m gonna lower the temperature some though, I’d normally done 160 and after seeing this I’m gonna tone it down!
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:28 *🧖♀️ Infrared saunas use far infrared light to heat the body, which differs from traditional saunas that heat the air directly.* 02:34 *💆♂️ Saunas induce relaxation, reduce stress hormones, and stimulate heat shock proteins, aiding in cell repair and potentially increasing longevity.* 07:13 *🔥 Infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures than traditional saunas, yet penetrate deeper into the body, offering pain relief, relaxation, and potential detoxification benefits.* Made with HARPA AI
I think that plasma can migrate into interstitial tissues and on to the skin where, if sweating, will help remove toxins. There are studies which have evaluated sweat and found that it was fairly high in several common toxins implying that more sweating means more detox.
In reality its all the fascia and linfatic system that comunicantes all the tissue in the body. The whole medicine aproach of Blood vessels and muscles Will have to be updated cause theres so much more going on.
As far as the calorie burn I recently had a friend take his Apple Watch or Fitbit into the sauna and it showed he burned 300 calories in an hour. He had worked out prior, reset his watch and then burned just 300 from the sauna. Just my experience☺️
Rhondda Patrick has just published a paper on the benefits of Sauna use with regards to health and well being. she was on the Joe Rogan podcast a week ago, go check it out. it was really interesting and the reason I've stumbled across this channel. great job Laura thank you
I enjoy the info and your lovely voice :-). I am looking into buying a sauna blanket instead of a sauna box as of its space saving and flexibility features. I hope you could make a review video on that one. I am condering Heathealer and MiHigh blankets. Thanks!
thank you I been looking for a sauna I just don't understand when they say :clear light I feared sauna or just infra-red sauna .is that different or the same I'm confused don't know what to get .please explain ❤ yr video
What can you say about the portable 1 man sauna? We got one and sweat lots ... we don’t sit in the lil chair with our heads poking out, but like lil cross legged Buddha 🙏
I used a sauna regularly when I prepared for a hot ultra marathon in USA. Do these feel as hot as a traditional one? P.S. let me know if you do eventually sell yours please :)
I sweat a lot. There is a big puddle under me at the end which I lift out and pour into the bathtub while rinsing out the catchment. How do you get these nicer wood FIR saunas rinsed out and clean without taking it outside on a hand truck and blasting it with a garden house while tipping it over?
Btw you burn calories the whole time your body is trying to go back to normal temperature afterwards. So I heard on a Podcast to not shower right away but let your body cool naturally for maximum energy burn. I wonder if you measured calories for one hour after how many the total would have been.
Aha, a very good point! It makes sense, like after a cold therapy session or HIIT training, the body will have a higher metabolism. Thank you for commenting about this.
I’m about to begin using an infrared sauna cabin situated outside by the pool. Is it okay to use it for just 10 minutes a day to start with? Does it matter if the weather outside is cold? What about in the hot summer? Thanks so much for a very informative video.
Great, now you got me looking at buying one of those... To be honest, I've had that idea on and off for some time anyway. Turns out there's a shop in the next town having an open day this weekend... maybe I can score a bargain? NOOOOOOOOOOO! Ah, shut up, wallet...
