Hi friends! Today I'm discussing some of the benefits of living in a smaller home. We live in a culture that is constantly telling us more, bigger, newer, nicer is always better. I'm here to challenge that idea and share some of my favorite things about having a smaller home.

This video literally brought a tear to my eye 🥲. I grew up in a small house and always yearned for a big spacious house and now that I’m an adult I wouldn’t have changed my childhood living space for anything and my own house is even smaller than I had, so I’m fully embracing it!! And now I need to find that quote for my home!

We downsized to 1000 sq ft then back up to 1500. I feel that is our sweet spot no need for bigger. No wasted spaces, cozy and well loved.

Love this video. Simplicity is the best especially in a smaller home. 1600 square feet is just perfect.

I am loving this video. We are planning to upgrade houses soon. We live in less than 700 sq ft with four kids. We are looking for house around the same size as yours. I’m glad to hear someone else say I don’t need a huge house! ❤️

My husband and I raised our 3 kiddos ( last one graduating this year) in 1400 sq feet. At times I wished we’d had more space but honestly looking back I’m glad we didn’t.

YES! My parents have felt the same way. My youngest sister recently graduated and they are so glad they don't have as much to care for now that they are empty nesters. We never felt like we were lacking growing up in a smaller home either.

I live in a 1400 square foot home that seems really small to me. But I know it’s mostly due to having way too many things. I’m really working to downsizing our belongings. Right now it takes me 2 hours just to clean me kitchen. Really appreciate this video.

Yes! Decluttering can make all the difference. Start with that kitchen girl! You'll be amazed at how much faster you can clean your home when you only have what you need and use daily.

Love this video! We left our larger home in the city to move to the country. Our house is much smaller but we do have more land and we really enjoy spending time as a family in our one inside “ living space” as well as outdoors. Living more simply has definitely become our passion!

We are a family of three living in a 1800 square foot house (two story including basement). We have lived here for almost 23 years and it’s more than enough space for us. Definitely agree with you on the “less time to clean”. Since decluttering a ton I can clean our entire house (including three bathrooms) in about 2 hours. I prefer to spend time gardening whenever I can. Or pretty much doing anything else besides cleaning😁. Thanks for all the reminders why we have never wanted a bigger home!
