It certainly can and even prevents prostate cancer! Masturbate as many times as you'd like and as often as needed. But you don't NEED to do it with porn, girls, or even other guys(In fact, if you are straight which you probably are, I'd actually recommend doing it with another guy friend whom you trust and are close with. @joho9815 Um...ok. Sooo... that's somewhat true now as America has changed A LOT even in the past 10 years, but definitely, since about 40 to 50 years, I'd say. If it was the 60s and below, then yes, that was mostly true. But now our country has become more progressive, and that includes more open sexuality than ever before. However, it's nice that we still have decency laws put in place, like... public indecency, you wouldn't just walk around naked as that would be inappropriate. Or, you shouldn't show nudity on public television bc that would make many uncomfortable, especially in the accompaniment of family. I guess masturbation IS a form of sex with one's self. So... does American culture see this as dirty. Probably. Dr. T can chime in, but I don't believe there's any connection between masturbation and prostate cancer, despite some of the comments here. About 1 out of every 8 men will develop prostate cancer, and it isn't because they masturbated too little, too much, or at all. Also, guys who no longer have prostates can still get hard, masturbate, and have an orgasm. They don't ejaculate, but it still relieves tension, makes you sleepy, etc. It's not quite the same, but as Dr. T might put it, you have some new self-exploration to do.
