Driving the 502c as a new owner I can only say buy one.. if you want a cruiser with a street naked look then this is it. I will admit its a bit tricky in traffic due to the wide handle bars but if you can live with that I get loads of great comments and looks and the stock exhaust sounds great in my opinion sounds like a sports bike...but it is only a 500 so if you want to go fast look at the 752 their new sports naked bike. The lights are amazingly bright and get you noticed in traffic...5*****

Awesome to hear from a owner. Its definitely a confidence buying issue people have with these bikes. The TRK I have done alot of research on and it has very few issues with long term ownership but just the odd warrenty issue here and there. Have you had any issues with yours, what were they and what milage have you done on yours? It's useful info for everyone else if you would be so kind 👍

Good review mate, I have the benelli leoncino 500 and puts a smile on my face everytime, 11000km and not a problem, best 500cc on the market, I owned a Honda cb500x and the benelli leoncino beats it hand down, probably won't be as reliable as the Honda or better trade in value down the road, but who cares when the benelli makes you smile everytime, unlike the boring Honda cb500x 👍

I've bought a couple of modern Benelli bikes and joined the UK club. It turns out, these bikes are one of the best kept secrets in the UK at the moment. However, many thousands are being sold across the world where buyers have cottoned on to the fact that "The Bang for the Buck" of these bikes is unbeatable! The 500cc twin cylinder engine, used in several models, is turbine smooth, and provides plenty of power and drive-ability to suit road riding. Other manufacturers would love to have the sales figures of these bike outside the UK.

I have ridden the Leoncino and found it not bad for a 500 as it shares the same engine as the 502c, seat was a bit hard on your bum, but there are OEM alternatives, I then rode the Royal Enfield Interceptor, this was a similar ride, however I like the look of this as its quirky, I reckon you have to want one as its resale value wont be enormous just because of its pedigree. However, I've seen e-bikes with larger LCD screens and something less petite would have been appreciated in my opinion. Right now, I am tinkering about getting a new bike. It is a toss between the Leoncino or this 502c. This looks much cooler IMO, but I will never buy again a bike just based on looks (did this with my first one, and had to suffer until now. Leoncino might be more sensible, as I need to attach a bit of luggage.Seems not possible with this Baby Diavel. But man, she does look cool...will decide after a test ride. Either way, I hope it will not too big a quality difference to my current Yamaha. We shall see...at least Benelli German headquarters nearby.

@@exeterrider Yes, I almost think so. I already sat on the Leoncino last year, and it felt great (good knee angle, upright seating position, very important for me). My current bike is an XT 600 E, so I really want to keep the comfortable seating position, but loose the seat height. I slapped some big boxes onto it. I know this is most likely not possible with either the Leoncino nor the 502C. But with the Leoncino, maybe at least a topcase plus two soft panniers might be possible. Yeah, it's a big leap of faith for me. My Yam run almost 20 years without any issues. But I think as I have German Benelli headquarters nearby, I might take the risk. I tried the Honda 500 cc and 650 cc range, and I felt not comfortable on any on them. Sadly, nothing for me regarding Yamaha (Ténéré is lovely to look at, but then I will need a ladder to climb on). My husband will keep his Yam (same model as mine, he is perfectly fine), so I cannot go too big regarding HPs. In that regard, these two Benellis might work fine. Question nobody can answer: how long will they last? But maybe Chinese bikes are not as bad as many think...Guess somebody has to do it...

Yes your right. On the flip side to the Chinese bike benelli thing is when/if you bought one it's a big 2 fingers up to the rest of the crowd. You may get alot of "what problems have you had" like I ask many benelli owners and they all have said so far "nothing really". Hondas and yams have there own issues but lean on the whole reliable thing which is well earned. Ok so it's so much "Italian" as it is "Chinese", they bought the company out and it's all made over here now and QC isn't the best in the business. Secondly I have an Imperiale that I ride daily and 1500kms later it already needs a replacement rear brake assembly. Thirdly they're overpriced for what they are and those engines are under powered for a 220kg bike. You'd be better off with a CFMoto 650 GT or 700CL-X, both of which are great thanks to their partnership with KTM and the latter of which has a forged 700cc engine.
@justaclosedaccount
@justaclosedaccount 3 года назад
Oh, and the range is only about 170kms to a tank. They're pretty yes, but a good bike not so much. They use that same 500cc engine in everything from TRK502 to the Leoncino models.

@@exeterrider 35kw on a 220kg bike just isn't enough. Same deal with the TRK502, they're underpowered. I tested both of these and the CFMoto rides I mentioned and quality wise, range (distance vs fuel capacity) as well as power to weight is better on the CFMotos. But each to their own and that's the cool thing about bikes.
@exeterrider
@exeterrider 3 года назад
@@justaclosedaccount yeap exactly my view on it. They don't have much power all things considered but to me that means you see more when on tour because its a steady ride. Like you say each top they're own and that's the way I see it too👍
@justaclosedaccount
@justaclosedaccount 3 года назад
@@exeterrider that's true, but you'd want to make sure you have a lot of petrol stations when you are 🤭 the dealer has said the range is about 170km to a 21 litre tank. A friend who owns a Leoncino 500 has also said something similar. I think it's more of a town bike personally. They're nice ride, don't me wrong, and they are pretty, just feels like it was designed by the budget committee and could have been better. But... Had they put the four cylinder 600cc from the TNT600i in it... A man can dream ☺️

I own a 2020 Rebel, I'm looking at trading it on a Leoncino, I will lose thousands. Rebel suspension is woeful, the rear is very short travel and bumps crash up through your spine, the front of mine has sagged at 2,500 km and bottoms easily. The reverse LCD (white on black) is impossible to read in the daytime, at least in Australia where we have sun. The brakes work but are very spongy, you can see the front hoses swell, the Benelli has braided lines I believe. Not happy with quality compared to my very old CT110 parked out in the garden, even my RE 350 classic rides and handles better than the Rebel.
@captainaverage721
@captainaverage721 3 года назад
@@raygale4198 I'd seriously question the notion that you'd be changing the Honda for a better quality Benelli. @raygale4198
@raygale4198 3 года назад
@@captainaverage721 I have already fitted longer adjustable rear shocks, added preload adjusters and longer spacers to the front. How much extra money do you pour into a brand new nearly $10,000 bike just to get it safe to ride? I spent $300 for some cheap Chineseium rear shocks just as proof of idea that the standard rears are too short, longer more compliant is better, new CB600R Linear springs are another $400 or so, braided brake lines, there are six flexibles (total front and rear) that are part of rigid brake pipe assemblies, would need the bike stripped to near bare chassis to access and replace them. Then there's the instruments that are unreadable, the Dunlop tyres that are dangerous in cold weather, fine over about 25 C. And the most bizarre one they deliberately designed in engine vibration to give the bike more 'character', take a beautiful smooth 500 twin mess with the valve timing of one cylinder, yes one only, each cylinder has different valve timing so the engine goes through resonances.
