280.8 km Bangalore Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR, NH-948A) by NHAI is an under construction 4-6 lane access-controlled expressway with a route alignment in Karnataka connecting 12 towns of Dobbasapete, Doddaballapura, Devanahalli, Sulibele, Hoskote, Sarjapura, Attibele, Anekal, Tattekere, Kanakapura, Ramanagara and Magadi.
This greenfield expressway under Bharatmala Pariyojna Lot-3 will serve as a bypass around Bengaluru city. It is being built in 3 parallel phases and involves construction of NH-948A and realignment of existing NH-648 (old NH-207).

No city in India has a Ring Road like Hyderabad. Hyderbad's outer ring road is world class with 8 lanes and 4 lanes of servie roads. And it was not constructed recently. It was opened for public use long back in 2010 itself. All cities in India should have an outer ring road like Hyderabad.
@shashikumarp4348
As a kannadiga i can say in few years this will be also conjested ...Bengaluru is growing rapidly with no end
@madhur3737
Droneman has no borders
@raviranjanyadav3822
Kudos to Our Roads n Transport minister Nitin gadkari sir. This gov is boosting Infra🔥
@nilesh0
I drove on this road from Hoskote-Chintamani road to Devanahalli a few days back. Its absolutely a dream to drive on. Makes going to Hyderabad road a breeze from Hoskote side!😊👏
@akaalkripal5724
There should be no construction allowed through bannerghatta national park. Instead, take the alignment further south. Forests and wildlife are as important as infrastructure.
@rky9438
First it was planned between hoskote - attibele. Now The route from hoskote towards south is not going to connect with attibele. It has been planned via on the outskirts of hosur City (tamilnadu). The route crosses from hoskote via chikka tirupati, hosur city outer circle, hosur airport, then again rejoins into Karnataka at anekal. Ofcourse hosur is in Tamilnadu, but the traffic congestion is going to blast beyond Karnataka border(attibele) since the growth of Bengaluru - hosur is becoming like twin cities. So as to plan for the future, the route for satellite town ring road is planned across state borders.
@MyTinTin2011
What is the logic in making 4-lane roads these days? At a minimum, it should be 6 lanes.
@govindarajukt4063
All development works will come to stand still after 2024 general election as there will be no money left after providing for freebies by I.N.D.I.A led parties.If BJP alliance wants to come to power,it should stop all such grand and World class works and provide freebies.
@callingbell-ix5se
Even if you give 100 lanes, our great truck drivers will not stop driving on the right most lane
@ramadasan7
The fact is that Bengaluru is much bigger than Hyderabad and shares its border with Andhra, Telangana and TN and is also now considered as part of the Bengaluru-Mysuru twin cities. Bengaluru is also part of the Golden Quandrangle Highway from Kashmir to Kanyakumari! Bengaluru has already one 20 year-old Outer Ring (120 Kms) (which has become very much like an arterial road now) and an intermediate Ring Road from Domlur to Koramangla. But the superfast development of Bengaluru has now necessitated the Peripheral Ring Road (281 Kms circumference!!!) which is coming up at 15/20 kms away from the existing Outer Ring Road! Bengaluru is expanding on a 360 degree basis with unpolluting Companies/factories and housing societies and the traffic jams are also inevitable in such a scenario despite the fact that all main roads in Bengaluru are quite wide and may improvements to infrastructure is also done!
@GururajBN
Bengaluru is my city. The traffic conditions within the city gets on the nerves of the commuters.
@kirankvasu
You have done a brilliant job with the video and narration, very high quality 4K and well presented. Referring to this as Outer Ring Road could be confusing though. There is already a ORR and one is being built further away from it.
@Ex_Muslims_Lives_Matters
Breathtaking visuals, excellent work as always droneman.
@mdm9096
Much needed, ring roads are essential and ease not only traffic but burden and stress of travellers. Bypassing Maddur, mandhya and other taluks has helped me personally to visit mysore to meet my relatives within 2hrs and after reaching there i don’t feel tired like I used to before.
