You know I've played the Benham since the campaign last year. Its original AA rating was 4. I guess that was a bug? I notice now its more inline with USN DDs and like 44.

@MajorFPS go ahead and save the extra 30k to grab the Massachusetts. You can always get the Benham for Doubloons in the future but the Massachusetts is only a GXP ship and you only need 30K more. Edit: I’m an all around guy I just which ever ship fits my want at the time but I’m definitely a bit biased. The Massachusetts brings something new to the American BB line as a brawler. The Benham just has lots of Torps (which is fine but not anything really unique)

I'm not a BB guy, and I'd say Massachusetts without doubt. I really enjoy playing it as a brawler.

Mass is a beast. Benham is OK. Lots of torps but slower than granny crossing the street. Gleaves helps a bit tho. Also depends on if you enjoy tier 7/legendary games. I have tons of tier 7s but tired of 3 Yamatos on each team every game.

The torps are very weak and slow. There are tier 3 boats with better torps. If you want a USN destroyer with good torps Gearing otherwise just get the KIDD as effective gunboat. Benham is a joke at tier 6.

I'm a F2P player and i got her for free xp cuz she's one of only 2 free tier 6 premium ships in the store, and she prints credits like crazy due to it being a premium

Still I think people would be better off to save the free xp for a tier 7 premium

@@crhispy7078 depends on how and what the player plays. Some people despise tier 7 because of the legendary ships, so why save gxp for a tier 7 if they don't play that tier? Also, most people imo save dubs for the campaigns if they don't actually purchase any. Buying a campaign for 2.5k gives you a tier 7(most of the time) and also all the rewards that comes with it. I got Benham from the campaign, but if I didn't get it, I wouldn't be spending dubs or GXP on it, honestly. 😆

Very weak destroyer. Centerline torps are way better than wing mounted. You have to do about face in order to release the other set of torps. Ohkotnik is way more effective because quick reload centerline torps with higher alpha damage at tier 4.
