Benidorm on a Budget: Our First Time Ever

I absolutely Love Benidorm, Stayed there for a 5 week holiday in my friends sisters apartment the total cost was about 600 euros for the 2 of us for the 5 weeks. Our apartment was in front of the Sol Pelicanos (Solana Hotel) where they filmed the Benidorm TV series, and 2 streets up from beach. We used to go to Neptune's Bar a lot as it was a 2 minute walk away and had very good entertainment. There is so much Night Life and cafe's and Restaurants your spoilt for choice. and because we were both O.A.P's we lived on or weekly pensions. Your Holiday brought back very pleasant memories.

What a cracking video, I bloody love you two, I really do! and Helen was so funny at 14:04 , I honestly thought she was going to say 'shower' classic Helen! HA HA! I thought the bit where the Tapas bar owner offered you some free food and drink really showed us your two different personalities, James was very polite and possibly felt slightly uneasy and only had four items of Tapas whereas Helen is like, 'Wahay! fill yer boots, get in there!!' This is why you two are such a great match together, and finally, how amazing it would be to see the pair of you on one of those tandem scooters, Helen would be the new 'Madge' of Benidorm! So glad you're both having a great time, take care the pair of you!

Like a mad dystopian version of "Whicker's World" where Alan Whicker (Yorkshire version) rescues Judith Chalmers from inferior tapas, fights off Wham/Gaga/Mars and secures an air conditioned cheap hotel room. Lovely stuff.

Great vlog 🥂. When we tour Europe in the old motorhome we ALWAYS factor-in 3 or 4 days in Benidorm. Its the law 😁.....and if we can't be in the sun at the mo ourselves, it's fantastic to watch you two in that fab weather. Enjoy the rest of your trip 🌅 x

Evening Helen & James. Loved this vlog, and looked like you both enjoyed and so chilled out. We go 3/4 times a year, always stay at Calypso, fantastic hotel. Benidorm is a great place to party or just chill out or both.

Brilliant! James and Helen you have the best show on TV and RU-vid. You are now my number one . I think it's only a matter of time before some production company scoops you up, pure class. Its like you are bringing all your viewers on holiday with you😅. Love it😊.

I love Benidorm. Went for the first time last November and returned 3 times after, the last time stayed for over 2 months - had to sadly leave as i was getting to the end of my eu days (schezen) allowances. There's so many places you can gi visit via bus, tram & train - enjoy

I lived in Benidorm in the early 80’s. I lived in the old town with the locals and had a fantastic time. It was dirt cheap them days, great food and lots of San Miguel. You could pub crawl along the bars to the west end clubs taking advantage of happy hours. There was a late night club called Black Sabbatt that opened at midnight and closed at 7am. Then straight down the beech to get some sleep.

Everyplace has relaxed, busy and classy and loud places

This video definitely brightened up my morning . I didn’t think Benidorm looked so glamorous and I thought Blackpool where I live was a nice place but it’s a dump compared to this place especially with the bad weather we’ve had recently . Think I’ll sell my house and move there lol

Hilarious! You are staying a hairs breath from the busiest, buzzing, tapas area in Spain and you walked straight past it! 😂 Check out the Rocamar- on the left just up from casa Juan- brilliant little hotel B&B. Tapas is mainly evening food… Don’t miss walking along the poniente promenade 🌈

We’ve watched this vlog a few times as we love Beni and you two. Like you, we went into the Saltoki bar and had the same miserable and expensive experience. The hotel we stay in is just around the corner, The Corona del Mar. Very nice. Also I noticed Helen has the same sun specs as me, bought in the Ale Hope, pronounced, Alley Hop.

You two were definitely made for each other, such an amazing couple. Also, you James are very handsome and Helen is very pretty 😁

Benidorm is my worst nightmare for a holiday ! Even back in 88 when I was 18 years of age I hated it! I had to go back in 92 for my mates stag party, and I vowed I would never return! It's a place that you either love or hate!

Last time I went to Benidorm was 16 years ago,lovely during the day with a fantastic beach,but changed at night,the old town with the blue rinse brigade or “the other side” where it was 80% English blokes,I’d never seen as many black eyes in one place in my life 😂 keep up the good work

Benidorm is nothing like Blackpool it’s clean and new building .Blackpool is a sad rundown these days .Had a lot of laughs in Benidorm people watching depends on your outlook on life we all know there are other places around Spain don’t have to go far outside Benidorm if you want tranquility The Spanish have lovely beaches and so clean
