Excellent video, just what I needed to know. I've just ordered one of these and I'm beyond excited, I can't wait to try it. I'm glad I went with the STi model, now I see it was the right decision. I was also worried about audio and fan noise but your video reassured me. Lamp life is no major concern for me, you can easily replace it and the extra brightness is worth it.
Thanks for the vid man,was waiting on when someone else would make another show n tell of this projector besides the one vid thats allready up,so props for that Now to my question and something i noticed,if you look at the official Benq site and the photos from the TK700 you might notice it dosent have the back panel for the dongel but in your vid you clearly show it does so thats kind of a weird quirk from Benq, but the dongl itself isnt delivered with the projector and you have to buy it separetly? Also is it a better deal to get the Benq one or lets say the Fire stick since i plan to connect the projector directly to my PC? Thanks and keep up the good work
Congratulations on the video! I've been following and learning on the channel. For a small room (projection distance 3.5m), dedicated to movies and games, would you go with a benq tk700 or optoma uhd55? And without wanting to abuse, does it indicate a fixed screen? (I intend to put 120 inches) Thanks
Thanks for the video. I am looking at purchasing either the TK850 or the TK700. I will be using it both for movies and gaming as well as streaming services. Which would you recommend? Thanks for your time.
Hi Joelster. Can you do a movies test of this tk700 vs x3000i (just movies) maybe like 3 movies covering different scenarios like a bright animated movie, a movie with lots of dark scenes like batman and other movie with the black bars. I would like to get a x3000i but is not available and can only get tk700 but a lot of people are commenting that tk700 black levels are really bad and colors not that great... If you cannot do the video (I already watched your comparison video) at least can you give me your honest opinion about my concerns. I will be 50/50 gaming and movies/tv series
Im asking cause it doenst look that bad in your videos, but you didnt test a movie and someone said youtube looked good but movies black scenes were grayish
I read the full review. Apparently it would run all 3D formats. However, in the descriptions of the TK700Sti, it is also reported that it runs, but from what I see in forum comments, it does not run 3D unless it is sent back to the factory for a firmware update. I'm in this doubt to finalize the purchase of the TK700, because I live in Brazil, and sending it back to the US to update a firmware is something very complicated. I would like to know from someone who has bought and tested if it really runs 3D or is it false advertising. Thank you again.
@@JoelsterG4k it does not support side by side 3D, which is the most common. I own one. It's a great projector, best I've seen but the whole 3D debacle is false advertisement and BS. But for the first time I let it go because I have an options the actually runs 3D, I really hope THIS projector did but it DOESN'T!!! It only runs one form of 3D, which NO ONE USES.
Both have excellent picture quality, the Epson has more features but it doesn't have HDMI ARC which is a big plus if you want to connect a surround system, both offer 3D but you need special 3D glasses for Epson 3LCD. and if you like gaming then BenQ is the best choice.
I've got the sti and have it upsidedown on a shelf but because of the rounded to i have trouble getting it to sit perfect. Is there any bracket i can buy to sit it on so i can leave on shelf upsidedown..
@@JoelsterG4k thank you, i am considering it. I don't see much information about it but 240 HZ at 4 ms would be very nice on such a big screen, if overall specs meets the W1070 level :-)
@@joetaro69 Yes you can go 120hz or up to 240hz at 1080p but I prefer 4k60hz with HDR, I think it looks fantastic and 16ms of input lag still great for fps games.
