@maclemaster5966 thank you so much! Yeah, some have discount codes, and some are just links that help support the work we're doing here. Maybe I can ask for a discount code when I go to shot show. It will be more awkward for them to say no in person, lol.
Been waiting for my 1301 for months now, hoping I get it around Christmas time but we will see! Love the series and info you provide, keep up the great work!
The qd point on the front does it need a qd mount as well? I purchased a magpul ms1 dqm sling and am waiting for my type 1 and 2 qd mount for the stock but the qd point for the front keeps popping out. Is it because I need a type 1 mount on the front as well?
@david6338 the Beretta one doesn't have holes for the sling qd detents so the sling can freely rotate. Plus, the factory barrel clamp doesn't stay put under recoil.
@@david6338 I'm having the same problem David! What GG&G clamp did you purchase? All I see are the M-Lok type, this would require me to purchase a M-LOK® QD Sling Mount. Is this what you did? Thanks
Wait, when you choose to glorify God, he makes your audience bigger? Matthew 6:33 anyone? "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
I suppose you could try that. But if your aim is to get a tool inside the stock to push that plug out the other way, you're going to have a tough time since the channel in the stock is very thin and tight due to how the stock length of pull adjustment works.
My man….you made a 9 part series out of 4 “upgrades” which included a flashlight install and a qd install…..and some other random shotgun videos. This coulda been 3 at most lol just a tip maybe 🤷🏽♂️
Some people want a super long video. Some people want a dedicated video for each thing. Can't make everybody happy. Guess it just wasn't your turn today, lol.
i have the same light and the same gun doesn't your light interfere with your sling in that position? Mine does, and it drives me nuts. In your video (which is awesome), you don't show the front attachment.
I don't have that issue. It may be due to the mount you're running for the light. Arson Machine Co. makes mine, and it puts the light higher than the qd. Works great! I don't have an affiliate link for you, but check them out and tell them I sent you. 😉
Why did u put the sling on the far side of the stock? U mentioned sling was too short yet u put it in the farthest mounting spot. Just curious. I hust got this setup on a 500 and did the opposite side of the stock for sling mount.
What did you mount tje other end of the sling to? I have the same furniture on my 870 and i use an m-lok qd sling attachment. Just wondering if there was a different option?
The 1301 tactical has a qd mount in the barrel/magazine tube clamp. That's what the other end is attached to right now. You can see more close ups on my Instagram. Otherwise, I could add a qd mount to the forend. It would just bring the sling in more.
@@YourFavoriteLibertarian Thanks for the tips. I'm looking at mounting a Magpul QD to my Mossberg 940 stock are there special structures inside your stock to keep the QD socket from being pulled out of the stock?
I'm definitely getting me a Beretta 1301. Out of curiosity...would you recommend a pistol variant or stay with the regular version???? Thank you for the 1301 content
That is a good question. One I will have a better answer to after I check out the Chisel Machining folding stock that just came in. It has a magpul k2 grip on it. I'm typically a non pistol grip shotgun guy, but something tells me this folder could change my mind. Stay tuned....
For me, it's just preference. It may help from you accidentally shouldering and your sling getting in the way, but if you're not having any issues and it works for you, run it.
Homes are comprised of short distances. If a naughty feller were to close the distance, you don't want him taking your gun from you, do ya? Also, it keeps your gun on you while rendering medical aid, moving family members, etc.
