@E ZA my buddy still has it. He's been very happy with it. I never ended up getting one. I have no doubt being a Beretta, it'll last longer than my friend is alive.
Just purchased a Beretta APX (.40 s&w) this past week and received my OD Green grip frame in today's mail! And it was THIS EXCELLENT video that talked me through the steps. Thank you for a very thorough step-by-step instructional in changing out the grip frame. Your videos are always extremely well done. Thanks again.
I thought this was a great video showing how easy it is. I switched mine to OD green but kept the black backstrap, and it was very easy. Appreciate you getting the info out there brother, Cheers!
Thank you so much Don for this video it was easy and simple to understand i was able to swap my APX frame in less of 10 min others you tubers make it more complicated.
Great vid. Just picked up the Centurion and being a lefty reversing the mag release button was the first thing I did when I got it home. Saved me lots of time.
I would like to thank you, because the other videos looked complicated so I sat on my grey gun frame for over a year. I was looking for someone to change out the frame. Then I saw your video, you made it very easy, so easy I decided to do it myself. The only issue I had was that loaded spring, other than that it went smooth and my APX looks great in grey with the black grip and black slide. Thanks again.
Okay, that's freaking cool 😎. I've been thinking about buying an APX due to the price in my area $379 - $429. but I don't care for plastic guns. But the ability to easily replace the grip frame you just demonstrated has sold me on this pistol. Thanks for posting this video.
Just finished my swap out. Thanks for the video. Very informative and the spot on instructions. Just picked up my APX today and was hoping to find this very video regarding the swap out.
Thanks so much for the trick on how to release the grip catch from the inside, for some reason nobody not even the Beretta manual mentions that and I found trying to take the grip out without first releasing that inside catch is almost impossible.
Thanks for this video. I thought I was in trouble because I didn't have a punch small enough to remove that plunger for the magazine release. Believe it or not, a thumb tack saved me and did the job. 👍😁
Learned alot on this for my Centurion. Just got the A1 version and yes it's fresh but have a hell of time getting the slide release to let go. Find myself pulling from both sides down. Sent Beretta a email about it.
Just got this pistol your review helped. Also order the FDE lower. I was.wanting to ask what your thought are on the Stainless Steel Striker Guide Kit for Beretta APX by Galloway Precision.
I have a question about the modularity of the apx. A few months ago I purchased the full size and want to the Centurian or compact next. My question is will the barrel and slide of the Centurion fit my full size frame? It looks like the frame would be a little long but easily trimmed. Any thoughts?
Your videos on technical subjects are even better than general reviews of firearms~! It will be great if you can do more on mag release changes (e.g., CZ 2075 RAMI, Sig Sauer P226 Legion, etc.) on other pistols~~~
Always enjoyable and informative videos…. However looks like I’m stuck with my medium back strap as I can’t for the life manipulate the little “thing” so as to drop the existing backs trap 😩
Thanks for the informative and interesting video as always. I'm about as mechanical as a shoe & I think I could make this modification after your instruction. God bless you brother and keep up the fight
Beretta did what Sig could not. Design a modular firearm AND properly populate the supply chain with lots of kits and spare parts at a reasonable price.
Nice job on this video Sootch. The only APX model I haven’t purchased is the Compact because it’s too small for my 🤚. It’s disappointing that Beretta didn’t install suppressor height sights on the Combat. Trijicon informed me they weren’t making them. Tooltech will make them for $285.00. I’ll purchase another Combat if Beretta releases it in Full FDE/Coyote Brown. LGS has full size APX in FDE (slide as well) and it’s pleasing to the eye. Beretta FDE seems to be a shade darker than other manufacturers.
@@jeffcue9242 yes you can. The compact and the Centurion, use the same slide. I just switched them out a few days ago . I already fired 200rds, without a problem
As I was following along, that long wire that hangs down from the serialized frame popped out. I have tried and tried to get it back in with no luck. Can you or anyone tell me how to get it back in that slot?
Changing the grip frame is not as easy as with the P320 for sure, but after watching this video, it does not look as bad as people are saying on the APX.
I like this model's finger grip, verses the new on with-out it. I just purchased the new APA A1 and ordered the old model fingered grip to swap it out. Will I have any problems with the pin locations? The old model looks thinner in the back from the side view.
Muy buen arma , muy precisa, existen varias marcas y modelos parecidos en lo que entregan al usuario lo que más me interesa es la seguridad de algún mal funcionamiento le tengo gran confianza a la APX full, gracias por el vídeo
I have the Centurion model and I love it. However, I'll never attempt to switch out the frame. I'm just too lazy for that. Especially given how easy it is to switch out the frame on my P320 Compact.
Luv your channel.have a question why is it that when shooting long range I’ve seen ppl not gripping the pistol grip but the thumb on the receiver of the gun?thanks brother
