The reason you don't care about the Reinhardt story is bc u don't play rein. The story is basically telling you not to be the rein that leaves your team behind to die while u have fun. Protect them

I used to be a GODLY Hanzo main when the first game just came out but it got really repetitive and I'm a competitive person so needless to say when I lost to a character who takes no skill to play I broke A LOT of controllers

Rein had the best cinematic. Dragons is second. The lore for Reinhardt cinematic is that he was originally part of the german army as a crusader protecting Germany from the omnics, and this is his friends final battle before he was sent of to fight for overwatch and leave Rein behind. (brigitte is Rein's god daughter btw) During the battle Rein gets too cocky and leaves behind his comrades and get one of his eyes taken out by an early version of orisa. His friend succumbs to a mortal wound when saving Rein and they retreat to the castle. His friend sacrifices himself to go kill all the robots that chased them into the castle, and he tell's Rein to go save his fellow soldiers. His friend gives the Overwatch medal to Rein as a "passing the torch" symbolism saying that he isn't planning on making it out alive afterwards and Rein will take his place in Overwatch. "live with honor die with glory"...rein leaves, his friend stays and kills all the robots, his friend succeeds but dies afterwards on the throne in the Eichenwalde Castle on last point. It cuts back to the present of Rein telling Brig that he must go to fight for Overwatch again basically because that's what his friend would've done. To put it as simple as possible
