I remember the ghost stations in 1980 (I was in French Army) when I toke few times U6 line from north to south. Few stations without stopping, in the dark with no passengers on platforms, only soldiers with gun. Only one station open for allowed passengers : Friedrich Strasse. I toke a look at all that to remember for future, It 's why I can testify of this today...
@@raileon Also, it was forbidden for us (soldier in french army) to take the train S-Bahn that belonged to DDR and crossed from East Germany to East Berlin via West Berlin. When I got on the train in West Berlin, I went down at the last station before East border. Very bad for me if I forgot to go down....

@@raileonI was a truck driver, so I had to drive five times between Helmstedt (East German Border) and West Berlin border. About 200 km each one way ride and the same on return.
