I'm so grateful for your channel Cody. My local Bernina dealer offered zero advice to me when I came in with some questions and swatches I had worked on with my b79. They also had no knowledge on any additional feet available, and suggested I put scotch tape on the bottom of the included zig zag foot because "they don't sell any special feet for your machine esp not a non-stick one". They acted like my new machine was no good and said it was probably too weak for 2 layers of the thin faux leather I showed them. Thank you for your helpful content and tutorials.
Hi Cody, Would you please do a demo using the gathering foot on the B77? My foot hovers too high above the plate and I can’t figure out how to get it to a lower position. The fabric won’t feed. Thank you Cody!
hey Cody!! great video. do you happen to know which bias binder attachment/foot is compatible with B79? i’ve been searching but can’t seem to find one that is confirmed to fit w them specifically. thanks so much ❤️😘❤️🏆❤️
Looking at getting a new machine, and this ticks almost all of the boxes, however one foot I love is the Edging/stitch in the ditch foot. I see there is one for the b37/38, will this fit on the 77, if not what do you use?
How do you use the gathering foot? I tried to assemble it to my machine but it looks like there is a part missing as I can’t clip it on. Could you please help me?
Hi, I'm looking at buying this machine but was told it doesn't have Auto tension on it. Does this make a huge difference? Does it recommend tension settings to you according to foot being used or no? I'm just wondering if this feature is very important or not so much
I love this machine. The very few times I have had tension issues I do the following Clean machine esp under bobbin Change needle Rethread needle and reinsert bobbin I have NEVER had to adjust tension.
I read somewhere that to use the additional B 79 feet you need a “universal presser foot adapter” - are these snap on feet that need that adapter? Thank you.
@@sewingwithcodyandpete8651 thanks. I have so many favorite feetbused with my other machines (one that dies in dec whe I got the 79). Never occurred to me that a machine of this caliber would not have the feet that you need to do the heirloom kind of sewing that I want to do. Just basic feet. I’m also trying to find ANY possible way even with hover turned off my machine raises the foot just a tiny bit every single solitary time I take my foot off the pedal and quit stitching forward. It’s ruining any good ruler quilting because it pops up and could very easily go over the side of the ruler, break it and all kinds of problems. it’s a machine and I have shank and I have literally hundreds of them never thought it might be impossible to use this machine Sewing tiny little clothes or other things I need that foot to stay down with the needle down instead of coming up even a tiny little bit. That lets little tiny slide around. It lets slide off to the side. Any help settings or what to eliminate this would be appreciated I have your foot when I needed it but most of the time I don’t need it to I want it to not have her Thank you
This machine has a gathering foot available for it. There isn't a genuine ruffler attachment for it. There might be a third party foot that will fit, but I do not know.
It is not a stupid question. Unfortunately the design of this dual feed on the bernette machines it hangs too far down when it is disengaged that any add on walking foot wouldn't fit.
