So I don’t have any kids but pay about 2,000 bucks a year for my local schools and library ... am I a socialist?? Well then call me comrade because I’m happy to do it !! Why ...? Because a good library and school benefits everyone in my town and just makes for a better standard of living for all including me. Yes it’s costly and I could argue I’ve never been in the library and could use the 2 grand to take a nice vacation. But I want to live in a place where my neighbors are well educated and have access to the best books and computers. It keeps my house value high. I want a good intelligent mayor who isn’t corrupted managing everything. This is what Democratic Socialism is all about. It doesn’t mean the government is telling me how much bread I’m allowed or what kind of car I can drive. People need to understand just what Democratic Socialism is. It’s not the same as communism and I’d be the first to go to the streets to stop it if I thought for a second it was. I know what communism is as I did a good amount of time fighting it in Vietnam long long time ago. I trust this guy totally. What this government is becoming now is so much scarier and repulsive and is no longer a democracy. It’s an oligarchy that’s heading towards fascism and I’ll take Democratic Socialism any day

I don't really understand how private capital can simply ignore carbon, energy, water regulations needed and coming rapidly. We need Bernie to help us pull the rudder strategically towards large scale investments in distributed renewables and electric vehicles solutions. Our future grid is modern renewables backed up with hydro, geothermal, biogas and soon distributed storage. We just might build a sustainable world after all. I am definitely feeling the Bern!
