@@Muffinfordinner That is by no means the only way to transition a corporation into a worker co-op. I personally feel the best way would be to give the employees of a corporation a loan so that they could purchase their own company as a worker co-op. If a worker co-op sector was established among a large variety of sectors it could eventually grow to become the dominant system as workers migrate from corporate oligarchies to cooperative democracies.
@@lukeg8466 I’m very hopeful this will happen in the US then around the world! As a US citizen, I see that it’s possible the US will be a leader in growing worker co-ops in the economy. Richard Wolff will help guide us.

It's not his idea, it's existed for a very long time. Mikhail Bakunin, a major Socialist Anarchist thinker, described a "Socialist and a genuine people's republic" as "full restitution to workers: all the capital, the factories, and all instruments of work and raw materials to go to the associations, and the land to those who cultivate it with their own hands". John Stuart Mill and Eugene V. Debs, and practically all Libertarian Socialist thinkers have defined Socialism along the same lines. If you believe that employee/worker ownership of businesses is a worthy goal, then congratulations: you're a Socialist.

But at the same time even liberals who vote for him because they believe democratic socialism is just capitalism with a human face, they may choose to go for someone else rather than Bernie; America is still a very right wing country to the point in my country the UK, their Democrats are like our Tories aside from a few hard right Tories like rees mogg and the Republicans of America, they are just batshit crazy aside from a few moderates that may fit in the less batshit crazy UKIP

+BernieSandersenEspañol Social democrats support welfare and unions, but ultimately advocate capitalism. they dont advocate workers control of the means of production, which would be socialism. Worker cooperatives and worker owned firms are like a stepping stone to socialism, as they present a socialist like model, but surrounded by capitalism.

I support the Vermont senator's proposal for a federal employee ownership bank to promote worker ownership of businesses via public loans. On another note, Sanders in his bid for the 2016 Democratic Party presidential nomination is wining the caucus states but is losing most of the real primaries where DNC delegates are selected by direct popular vote. Hillary Clinton is winning the primary states.
All he does is talking. How many worker coops did he start? I started my own worker coop and it was not that hard. If people would stop waiting for millionaire socialists to solve their problems and instead would start their own coops, we already would have a coop economy. In Germany the coop banks are around 30 % and it was started by just two guys without government help.
