I am a 34yr old athlete and there is no way as an American I should have had to spend my entire savings, sell my 401k and move out of my apartment and in with a roommate just to pay for Remicade! If I lived in the U.K., Mexico or Canada I would be able to get my treatments. But I live in the United States of America and cannot afford my medicine. That is NOT ok. One of the key points with Bernies agenda is the reason behind free tuition for college and higher education. I totally agree with him on that. Everyone should have the opportunity to study on a higher level whether they have the economic resources or not. In Sweden, university or higher education is free of charge, obviously, its included in taxes but having the right to study for a higher education is so crucial for a efficient democracy. Turning down potential students because they don't have the economical resources is extremely unhelpful for democracy. I bet there is plenty of resources in the US to support free university tuition, the question is, is fellow americans ready to support their own for the greater good.
