Here we are on the BERNINA 3 series the B335 to be specific almost identical the the previously known 380. We are just going over the machine and what it's functions are.
Thank you for your videos. They’re really informative and thorough. I’m thinking of swapping to a Bernina now my Brother machine is starting to get old. So I’m wondering if this will be a strong enough machine for mainly garment sewing with a bit of bag making? Bernina’s seem to be advertised mostly towards Quilters with very little about general sewing and I’m dithering between this or a Juki straight stitch. 🤔
Wonderful videos I bought the 335 for the needle felting punch tool function because I was told the 400 series don’t have felting kit? I was looking at the 475, but now I think the 435 dose allow for the punch too ? I really wanted to up grade to the 435
Hey Cody! Thanks for sharing this video. I’m considering getting a Bernina 335 but notice that it doesn’t come with presser foot pressure adjustment. Is this a problem when working with some fabrics? I’d like to start working with denim so just want to make sure that I won’t be limited. Thanks in advance!
The foot pressure adjustment is a wonderful function of a machine and unfortunately the 3 series doesn't have it. However the machine is very powerful and doesn't have a problem sewing over just about anything. One thing I can suggest is getting a walking foot because this will help you sew with fabrics that may give you issues where we would have adjusted the pressure. Sometimes we would adjust the pressure of the foot for fabrics that stretch or that have issue feeding but when using the walking foot that helps with those fabrics too. So that is what I would recommend for that machine. :) Hope this helps...
This might be a silly question but: can you control the speed of the stitching by controlling how much pressure you put on the pressure foot as we do with old mechanical sewing machines? Thanks
