Oh my goodness, so funny, your phone rang, up on the screen it said don’t answer your phone.....but my dogs both looked up and stared at me to go answer the phone! So funny, love these videos thank you.
You are just so much fun to watch. Great video! I especially liked to see you sew the really thick material at the end. My machine (not a bernina) sometimes already gets funny with 4 layers of cotton. I have been wanting a bernina for a long time. Oh well, maybe some day. Love all you do.
Great explanation of Bernina buttonholes. Bernina doesn't do a very good job explaining in the manual or their videos. Thank you so much for making this technique clearer. Just a note, the buttonhole placement is dependent on the size of the button. A very large button needs to be farther from the edge than 5/8th and smaller can be closer. Thanks for all u do to educate us sewers!
@@lesleydrury1240 you need to click on the link for the handout in this videos description. In that handout there is a link to the American Sewing Guilds article. Cheers.
Watched again. Really a good tutorial. I need some help though. The first bead sews fine (foot 3a) but will only sew half way up the second bead and tacks off, any suggestions as why it is doing this? Thank you for such an in-depth tutorial, it really is helpful. Gail
You may need to recalibrate the buttonhole. On some models you can do this yourself. Also make sure that your buttonhole foot slides and then snaps back automatically. Sometimes they stick without use. So massage it a little so it does this. Also try cleaning off the sensor that the bottom hole coding piece looks at. It gets dusty.
Hello i have a Bernina 1630 and I use the automatic buttonhole foot 3C. However I seem to get a perfect buttonhole but find the space in between the buttonhole is very narrow and hard to cut with the buttonhole knife and the stitches can be cut easily. I am making children's dresses with the bodice made from cotton layered twice with a fine interfacing in the middle. So how would I get a larger width in the middle of the BH. Do you think I can alter the tension at all? Nothing seems to work however Ive tried. Open for any suggestions please Doreen.
Hello! Thank you for your video, I have a question: you mentioned a couple of stabilisers but I couldn’t catch the name of one of them; it sounded like armaweb but I can’t find the product on the internet. Could you let me know the name of the product.
