I'd like to apologize for the lack of references as I found them incredibly difficult to find. Seems Dark Souls 2 was inspired by Berserk more than its spiritual successor.

There's also the fact that an DLC boss in Dark Souls, Artorias was inspired by Guts.

Some of these appear to just be general tropes and motifs found in the darker aspects of medieval lore and aesthetics.... I will admit- the parts more directly related to Guts are more compelling.

That's how I felt watching it. Sure the Griffith Sex Dungeon pic seemed to line everything up to a "T", so maybe it is a reference. But that there even is a Dungeon area, that's just drawing conclusions out of thin air.

Nathaniel Jernigan Plus, it is hard not to draw on Berzerk's general aesthetics and tone when, due to its popularity and long running history, it has pretty much been THE grim dark medieval work. It is like writing a superhero with super strength and flight and not vaguely calling upon Superman. You would have to go out of your way for that connection to not come up.

The Old One also has a big helix thing sticking out of it, exactly like IoE. Not to mention the whole way demons work in DeS is lifted straight from the manga.

A lot of these seem very coincidental. The Tower of Latria is really the only guaranteed influence Berserk had. In Dark Souls the influences were more obvious.

Zelda has surprisingly has quite a bit of Berserk influence. Breath of the Wild: The Eclipse Ocarina of Time: Gannon looks like Zodd Twilight Princess: The Skull Knight Navi/Puck I'm sure there's more were this came from like dungeon designs, characters, and monsters ETC.

I really don't think Griffith and king allant are all that alike well they did both fall from grace but Griffith was partially forced due to his torture then list to once again have power and achieve his dream whereas allant went mad with power and souls to the point he basically lost his mind

I think "no shield" should be added to the berserk mode demons souls. Guts never hid behind a shield, and it's not much harder to beat without a shield if your good at fast action games.

Hmm really cant go into too much detail. Its basically a fan-made game mode where the player can only use claymore/greatswords and a crossbow, no magic ever. It adds an extra layer of challenge and is just a cool cosplay.

I have seen your videos of Souls/Berserk series. I must say that there are some things that are true but most of the "references" showed are not references to Berserk. Berserk and Souls happen at, let's say, the same "era" (but different worlds) and the designers and creators used as "real" references beliefs and objects of that time spawn. For exemple "fire lizards" they are actually salamanders and in medieval times they were thought to be immune to fire and being able to breath it. Or the background armor that is based in real armors of the time. Others are just the generic fantasy thing as "skeleton armor" or generic japanese/anime design as "gold in white dandy". So I wouldn't say that they were made to resemble any design in Berserk. And as above there are a long list of "references" that you have seen because they have some similarities. But even with these good work, the videos were very entertaining. Keep doing them but put some effort on distinguishing between references and similarities.
