Jon 100% deserved the win, that diorama was epic! And we definitely aren't saying that he was intentionally doing anything to help that win by posting content about it. The community of high-level painters is very close-knit and almost everyone knows each other, and keeping that in mind when it comes to painting competitions seems like a good way to view them. Think of it like the Oscars for film, there are people who put in maximum effort and still don't win, and it leads to questions like this one. Still, seeing the work and what it takes to get there is fantastic and we can only be absolutely grateful that people like Jon put that content up for us to see. The process is intense and it is awesome to watch. Also, Bert Mabers is a hilarious bit :)

@@PaintBravelyThePodcast Please don’t misunderstand what I was asking. His entry was absolutely amazing and I think it deserved the win. If I lead you to believe that I thought that Ninjon had intentionally done anything to influence that I’m sorry that’s not what I intended. I guess my questions are: Do you think that the judges were aware of his audience and his influence? Do you think that they watched his videos and other posts and do you think that influenced the judging in any way? I’m not trying to imply that Ninjon did anything wrong. But you got me thinking about what goes in to judging these competitions and wondering if they, the judges, knowing who he is, were influenced by that and, possibly even prior to the competition, were ready to award him with a Golden Demon. I honestly believe that he deserves the Golden Demon. I’m just wondering if you think the more popular RU-vidrs and painters who post their entries before hand have a leg up on everyone else. And yes, the bit was funny.
