Been watching quite a few wedding collections, & all I can say is this has been the best, beautiful, amazing wedding collection I’ve seen. Bravo! Bravo! Loved it. Thx&see ya😁
This is a couture runway collection....they will make alterations to the retail bridal dresses (like adding lining). So everyone please calm down!!!🦉🦉🦉
people commenting here doesn't even know the word "couture". they just keep saying "Who the fuck will wear this in the church" with googling what couture means
Thank you, Kelly. Exactly! I’ve studied fashion for years. Literally studied and I’ve watched fashion shows and followed designers. This has even been stated for seasons on Project Runway that you want to give your audience a “show”. Unless a show is hyped as “Ready to Wear”, the garments shown can be modified to suit the purchaser. Rarely are there multiple garments readily available as shown. Yes, folks should calm down. Couture basically is defined as “one of a kind”, NOT mass produced as in a ready to wear collection. As such, purchaser, if you want a lining in that see-thru wedding gown, you want maybe a sweetheart neckline as opposed to an off the shoulder neckline? Once you purchase the gown, if the structure is such that the specified modifications can be made, you state that to the designer whose seamstress staff will then modify the gown per those instructions. The gowns worn in these shows are what is called “samples”. In a ready to wear collection, which is mass produced to be sold in stores, then you get the garment as it was presented. At which time you’d have to get your own seamstress or yourself to alter the garment as you wish.
The underwear showing and see thru is usually for the sake of the shows only. During the bridal consult this can be discussed with the bride the degree of modest she wishes to display. I otherwise agree and understand your point but the shows want a show.
Brenda Fuller it is. All I’m saying is, the flamboyance is always JUST for the shows. I’ve heard designers say this time and time again. What is shown is for show effect. When the dresses are purchased, rarely if ever are the clothes purchased as they were presented in the shows. A bride will apt NOT to have a see thru gown. I agree totally that see thru isn’t appropriate for a wedding but the bride will decide the degree of their modesty. When you see these sheer, see thru clothes on any runway, 10 times out of 10, once an item is purchased, the clothes are not “ready to wear” unless the collection states ready to wear, so once the item is purchased the designer will make the item to the specifications of the purchaser. Ask any designer. What’s shown during the runway show is for “show” effect and not how the item will be modified to suit the taste of the buyer. It’s just for the shows.
After seeing several of the European designers, these gowns appear very new world (American) --- some fit for the church, some fit for the Las Vegas chapel, some fit the club (country and night club) and some fit for an at-home wedding.
I’m sorry but why would I pay thousands of dollars for dresses that barely have any substance to them? They’re not ugly dresses but why pay more for a sheet of lace?
Just nipped in to watch this video, the dresses (designs are nice, but nothing new) however, I think they would look far more elegant if they were not see though and showing underwear which is street walker kind of tacky..sorry but weddings are not street walker kind of tacky..at least not where I come from.
I presume some of the sheer gowns can be lined but share commenters' sentiment that a wedding is more that a fancy dress party and there should be some reverence for the occasion that isn't reflected here. That said the gowns are lovely.
What stood out for me was the wedding suit. But most of the dresses were sheer... Too revealing for the wedding day in my opinion. I'm more church ready when it comes to wedding atire. Everything has its place and its purpose for a reason.
I'm a millennial, not a conservative boomer, but I still feel as though very revealing dresses aren't appropriate for most weddings. I absolutely think we women should be able to show our bodies and wear whatever clothing we want because it makes us happy. It doesn't reflect on our character or morals. But that doesn't mean that all clothing options make sense for all occasions. Weddings are generally a formal, black tie affair, not a runway show, red carpet event, or fancy, upscale nightclub. Plunging necklines and sheer fabric aren't warranted at most weddings from a style perspective, and it looks out of place. A few of these models look like they're wearing bejeweled negligees, and I'm wondering which wedding venue that would suit.
@@tracybrown4941 This is couture runway!! When you want to buy one of these they will alter it to your own liking and size!! Do you people really think they will just give this dress to you as it is???
@@bacitracin_ Pardon me, but the way a an item of clothing is shown on the runway IS the way the designer intends his or her creation to be worn and seen. Your point is well taken, any dress that is couture can be modified for the client - a fact that most people who know anything about sewing or fashion already know. Either you like the designer's design or you don't. I don't care for this one because for a bride to wear it as the designer intended, it is indecent, considering most weddings are a family affair with young children in attendance.
I agree.....the gowns are lovely...but the hair is sooooo lacking....just every day going to high school or the corner store...sorry! Hair stylist needs to be fired!
