I have bought and turned almost every color and you are 100% right. This is by far the best acrylic pen blanks on the market. Also after using the magic polish, I could stare at the depth and shine of the colors all day. It’s absolutely mesmerizing.
Hi Mike. This is the first video starring YOU and turning a pen that I have seen. It was very informative and thorough and makes me want to try my hand at turning pens. The Bespoke pen blank you turned is gorgeous. Kudos to Hobble Creek! I was wondering about the pen itself. How is the quality; does it write well; is it expensive? Although you could use CA if you wanted to, it's really not required with our blanks. Mike finished and polished the pen with the Magic Juice system. No CA required.

An easy way to remove those pesky, wound up trimmings from the blank is to use a small nylon brush. Gently rub it across the work and it will remove them quickly and efficiently. Compressed air works nicely too, if you have access to it.
Wondering about finished pen pricing in general terms? One You Tube gentleman put out $70.00. Will there be a difference between wood verses wood verses resin or other cast products?
Beautiful pen Mike and great video. I’ve never turned a pen but would like to try. Can you turn a pen with full size turning tools or do you need to buy the smaller turning tools? Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. Stay safe and healthy.
Hey Earl, turning pens with full size tools is certainly doable. The 2 I use the most are the spindle roughing gouge and skew. Have fun turning! -Mike 😊
