The ps5 and xbox sx have decent upscaling technology, so I guess some people would count that

It's a horrendous statement however you look at it - the only reason 4k is considered "standard" for consoles is simply because they more frequently make use of home tv systems that have heavily shifted to 4k during the past 5 years, but in contrast to gaming monitors, none of the home tvs care about actual gaming specs like refresh rate and response time, and thus are typically quite subpar in their true 4k performance.

@@Real_MisterSir You have to admit tech has come a long way and was advancing really fast only to be slowed down by the recent pandemic. I could see 60fps 4k on consoles without upscaling being the norm in 1 year or 2.

Not with these new AAA titles. A 3090 just runs cyberpunk at 4K native at high 40’s to low 50’s FPS. I highly doubt consoles are doing that. Only previous gen titles are running native 4K 60fps

4K on consoles?!😅 It is UPSCALED to that resolution, but it really has nothing to do with NATIVE 4K.

They also said "unlike PCs, 4k is standard on consoles now" which has nothing to do with the consoles themselves, but just the fact that most homescreen tvs that consoles often use, are 4k - but with horrible specs otherwise and usually don't get true 4k with anything above 15-25 fps at best. These lists are just so obviously dumb for anyone who actually know a little bit about gaming and hardware.

@@DrakonR got 27 and first unit had a black dead pixel but after the new panel replacement from Samsung no issues so far works greats.
