Naniwa Professional 600 is one of the best whetstones I have used under 1000 grit. Exclusive updates, news, & content burrfection.com/ Naniwa Chosera / Professional 600 burrfections.com/chosera
I can't tell you how many times I've come home and turned on one of your vids and then promptly nodded off to the rhythmic sound of the sharpening. This one was even moreso without you speaking at all. :D
Honestly I got rid of all my consistent angle sharpeners and started free hand sharpening again as a hobby because of you! My wife thanks you..... Haha
Thanks for making this video and I do miss you old set up of a birdview camera but understand the complications in setting up like that. Would like to ask you if you could make a video comparing this Naniwa Professional whetstone you are using with other stones specially the full soak in stones to compare which ones performs the best. I got into sharpening knives thanks to you in early 2017 thanks to you and in my case it is very therapeutical and functional at the same time. Keep the good work!
The pro 600 is a gem especially in tandem with the pro 2k! Such an underrated finish! I recently got my hands on the Suehiro debado SNE version 2.0 (the ones you have in the khaki and black boxes) and they might be the chosera/pro killer.. Well they are IMO lol. The base may not be as grippy as others but it has more used than just a stand. You can fill them with water and soak them or let them dry after stacking them. The hand feel and efficiency is on par with shapton glass and the choseras. Anyway I just got the 600 and 1500 and OH MAN. They’re heavenly. I urge you to give them more attention 🙏 take care!
yeah i hear you. i'm spending a lot more time with them, and you should watch my last 2-3 video about whetstones - they'll validate a lot of what you said.
Hey Ryky! have you ever considered making your own stone? I've recently decided to try it out all you really need is a hard rock some silicone carbide, water and time lol.
And here i am absoluttely drooling over wanting one masamoto ks to own and sharpen and you sharpen 4 in the samme video and own 10 if im not mistaken? Congrats on 100k mate
I'd return that stone if I wanted a splash and go. Too much messing about getting it properly wet. The whole idea of a splash and go is that you don't have to wait around while the thing is soaking. It also sounds a lot coarser than #600. 10 seconds in and you're needing to add more water. I'd call that stone a fail.
Great video! I have a 1000 Kuromaku and need a sub 1000 to set the bevel. Is the Chosera too close to the 1000? 600 be better? Thanks for what you do! Enjoy your passion! Greg
I'm a busy girl, but Monocashback is helping me save time and money on my shopping. Just got it for only $8 after a 50% discount and an extra $1 in cashback. Monocashback, you're a lifesaver!
