I got my tint kit on your recommendation and loved it! About to move bases next year and will have to tow my home gym 23hours. Going with this exact same hitch on your recommendation again! Thank you brother!! So far loving my 2021 lifted LT 2.7!

Had to have one for my new 2500HD High Country. 2.5” receiver 7” drop for the multi pro tailgate. Great setup!

Great video but wish you gave your measurement from ground to bottom of receiver. Would be very helpful for comparison.

Thanks for the outstanding detailed review! Confirming your lift is the factory 2 inch lift? I think you may have confirmed that towards the end of the vid. I was looking at the 3.5 hitch but I see based on your factory lift that the 5 inch is the way to go.

Yep! Factory Trail Boss lift. Following that link to purchase would really help support the channel! (They’ll send me more stuff to review if more stuff gets purchased via the links) 😃

I'm thinking if I'm pulling close to 10,000 pounds that you would want a weight distribution hitch

I have a 2020 rst 1500 stock height. I ordered a 5 inch idk if I made a mistake ?
@TruckOwnership101
@TruckOwnership101 3 года назад
2.5” is generally the sweet spot for stock height from my experience, but 5” will give you more adjustability for smaller/lower trailers. Hopefully you will still have that clearance I mentioned. 🤞

@@TruckOwnership101 do you think I’d have a problem towing regular sized travel trailers ? 25-27ft
@TruckOwnership101
@TruckOwnership101 3 года назад
@@brandond8243 I use weight distribution hitches for thing like that. If I used this, I’d just have to drive slower and really watch it when passing semis, the wind on the trailer can really pull you around without one.
@169Aquarius

Would you buy a 5 or3inch drop
@TruckOwnership101
@TruckOwnership101 Год назад
5 is a must for a trail boss 2” lift. Otherwise 3 is fine.
@169Aquarius
@169Aquarius Год назад
@@TruckOwnership101 So if you going on trail or off-road 5 inch otherwise 3 inch would be ok for 2 inch
@TruckOwnership101
@TruckOwnership101 Год назад
@@169Aquarius the Chevy Trail Boss has a factory 2” lift kit on it. So you need a bigger drop hitch to keep your trailer level.

@@TruckOwnership101 ahh i see. We got hit hard with snow this week too. Way to early for this stuff. My ‘20 Trail Boss loves it though.

@@tylernorha Ha! agreed, I took my family out to dinner during the storm thanks to the Trail Boss. The place was obviously dead so my 1 and 3 year old's got to run around the place like they owned it.

You need a better lock. That can be broken off real easy.

Hey man I apologize for asking so many questions but would you choose this over the gen y hitch?
@TruckOwnership101
@TruckOwnership101 3 года назад
Dang that thing is massive. Is it even for 1/2 ton trucks? Wonder what it’s raited for. Probably over my max towing. Mine already hits my max towing capacity.
@EJChevy
@EJChevy 3 года назад
@@TruckOwnership101 yes I've seen them used on 1/2 tons, but never got around to stop people and ask I know TFL Truck uses this hitch on their gauntlet challenges.
@First112
@First112 3 года назад
Seems like too much slack in the receiver- loosey gossypol- now you have to buy spacers.
@TruckOwnership101
@TruckOwnership101 3 года назад
Pretty common for adjustable hitches actually. Their was PLENTY of slop in my old hitch. The extra weight makes it more noticeable is all. As I said in the video, they make a silencer. They also sell locking hitch pins that thread on from the inside of the hitch to really lock it down.
