Great review. I wonder if the plastic wind shield helps decrease the fan noise for the rider? 🙄 Also...does the rower enable you to get your heart rate up as quickly as the air bike? I have a water rower, but it seemed not to get my heart rate up like a treadmill at the gym.
I've never used a water rower so I can't speak to that specifically but I do have a concept 2 air rower. I would say they get your heart rate up at a similar speed. I've not tested them side by side to confirm but just by memory of how they feel, I'd say they're similar
The shield is a peice of plastic for £48 thats very expensive, i will just stick a bit of tape on there n make do in winte time right now its getting warmer n them wheels £100 also very expensive il stick with the standard i did however pay £11 for the phone holder n the water bottle holder not needed u do ur 5 mins get off n have a sip of water then bk on
I agree the plastic is pretty expensive but to me it's worth it. You could DIY it but you'd have to replace the tape occasionally and I'm guessing it'd make noise. For me (being in a basement) it stays pretty cool down there so I never want the wind from the bike blowing in my face. I keep the shield installed 24/7/365.
