*I like that I can "fry" something on a whim! An oil fryer takes so much more time to clean and prepare **MyBest.Kitchen** a chore which usually kept me from frying all together. Also, the lack of needing oil to fry means that my family and I are eating healthier... while still enjoying the crispiness of fried foods.*

Never use aerosol spray cans in your air fryer. Aerosol spray cans (like Pam and similar brands) are known to cause chipping in many Air Fryer baskets. The aerosol cans have harsh agents that just don't mesh with the coating on most baskets. It's best to invest in a good quality oil mister or bottle.

Also there's a major difference in regular oil vs spray oil in an air fryer, even canola. The regular oil actually makes things crisper.

Great recipe, I have a pre chopped bag of mixed vegetables. I didn’t want to heat up the entire Oven… this is a great way to cook them too.

How do you clean your basket? I line mine with foil. No muss no fuss. Although whatever I air fry, it needs to have a wee tiny bit of weight to it or the foil basket will spin like a top (-;

Instructions for my air fryer say not to use aerosol cooking spray on the tray. Something in the spray can damage the tray. It is fine to toss ingredients with a little oil or spray them with oil used in a manual sprayer like the Misto.

Looks good but I'd suggest watching the amount of seasoning you use as there's hidden salt in some of those and it makes otherwise healthy veggies into unhealthy veggies

Greetings from Cape Town! My short response. If you eat food in (any) packaging, scrutinize the nutritional information label carefully. All spices and condiments contain *sugar* in some form.

I tried this tonight in my air fryer but I’m afraid it didn’t work for me. I used about the same amounts as you, although probably less oil. The vegs were dried up and definitely not cooked through or tender. My Tefal a/f has long slots in the removable tray and some of the smaller pieces fell through into the bottom. The vegs were not juicy like they would be if I cooked them in a dish in a conventional oven. Overall very disappointed. Where am I going wrong please? Perhaps I would get a better result if I used a basket liner to keep some moisture for the vegs ??

I think it's to stop anything sticking to the base of the air fryer. I think it's something you'd have to try out yourself if you have one. Its just added protection I think. 🍀

@@enlightenedsoul4282 It’ll ruin the non-stick coating of the basket. Oil IS non-stick too already so absolutely no need. Also defeats the point of an AIR fryer which is to reduce the need for oil.

Air fryer Slurps for veggies. Steaming is better air friers are good for baked potatoes but it takes as long as your oven

honestly airfryied broccoli is one of the only veggies i dont think works well in the airfryer. the tips burn before they cook. they only way i have found to prevent this is to coat the broccoli in lots of oil and cook at a low temp like 300

Cooking spray is not a good idea, the propellant will cause the tray to slowly deteriorate. Use an oil brushed on the surface or get a spray bottle to put your oil in.

Cooking spray (as in ‘squirt’) is absolutely fine, just not aerosolised ones.

It’s not a pot it’s practically an oven, these are roasted. You’d use a steamer if you wanted steamed veg.

I agree far too much oil. Airfryers are for less fat not adding extra. Complete waste of time. You don't spray the pan either you spray the food. If you spray the pan it sticks to the teflon and then you could end up eating teflon so not good

Double oil, loads of salt and seasoning (with salt included no doubt) and burnt to hell. Then drowned in processed cheese. Poor veggies!!! I thought air fryers were meant to be healthy!!!
