Definitely a very good small cam 👍🏻😉 normally I film with the FX6 but since two weeks I have the small ZVE1 too and I really love it 😍 great b-cam and perfect for me for holidays 😊 best cinematic greetings from germany
FX6! That's a beast compared to the ZVE1 haha. I'm really enjoying the camera also. Thanks for watching and commenting. I have German relatives so I would love to visit at some point.
Yeah that's a much better focal length spread, even for apsc. F4 still looks sweet when shooting tight. Thing is I'm not 100% about infinity sharpness when at 70mm. Couldn't really tell in some of the footage but I've been struggling to find something that shoots long and is sharp while not destroying my bank account. But I like the lens. Definitely would need pairing with a 16-35 but also... money is a thing. Good stuff dude.
Thanks man. Everything you said is exactly how I feel haha. Great lens though. A bit expensive but well worth it. Just got done shooting with only this lens for the last 17 days in Japan and it was perfect.
I like the focal distance of the Tamron because it starts much wider but I think it falls short everywhere else. From my experience, Tamrons aren't as stable and can be a little on the large side. Of course, the 17-50 isn't out yet but it is a very compelling lens at 17mm. It's probably going to be cheaper as well. All I can say is this lens from Sony is a very good lens. Just logged 17 days with only this lens in Japan recently :)
Wow! Got a few Gabba aka Tong vids to catch up on!! Are these backlogged? Or have you not left for Japan yet?? Also BIG congrats on getting monetized well deserved and you did it quicker than most!! Took me like 6 years 😂
Evan! Yeah just got back a couple days ago. I'm pretty messed up always falling asleep and now I have to go through gigs of videos Waaaaaaa. Are you still on your vaca? Also, thanks :) This YT thing is time consuming as heck. Not sure I wanted to get monetized TBH. Adds another layer of obligation :P
@@noisackda2564 SWEET! Looking forward to seeing some Japan Vlogs! The jet lag hit me pretty damn hard on the way here but yes I'm still in Sweden for another 2 weeks, been stock piling vids and gigs haha! Hey at least you're now getting paid for your time ;) Just keep on creating because you enjoy it not for the money! Monetization is just the cherry on top and a bonus if you love making vids!
Hey brother really love your videos and I’m a new subscriber. Love your colour grading think you could share your secret looking for that exact cinematic look
Congrats on getting monetized! That lens looks great. It makes me wonder how it would look if you just put it in shutter priority and just let the aperture adjust for exposure. Do you manually set your white balance for shoots like this? Whatever you're doing, it looks good. A little less bokeh, until you got that close shot at 70mm, but I don't think most people look for that as much as we probably do.
Thanks Tim :) I should have been monetized a while ago but I had my profile set to Iran or something like that lol! Shutter priority makes a lot of sense but I might miss out on that wonderful Bokeh lol! I'm beginning to not care about it as much but I still like it in certain situations. I never white-balance anything lol. When I'm outside it's not a problem. When I'm indoors I might white-balance. I would rather color-correct any color issues in post TBH.
@@noisackda2564 it always looks great. I agree, it would be tough to WB outdoors in changing light. The E1 looks like it does a much better job than the E10 at auto wb and exposure or you are a color correcting master. Maybe it's a combination of the two. 😁
@@TimBrownTown The most important thing that helps me with Image quality is the ability to upload and preview the lut. It's essentially a cheat code :P
Woohoo congrats on getting monetized on YT! :) I'm curious, which one would you pick, if you have to choose: Sony 20-70 F4 FF or Sony 16-55 F2.8 APS-C (25-82mm FF equ.)? I guess image quality is quite similiar on both lenses. Sony 16-55 F2.8 has an bokeh FF equlivalent of F4, but is a F2.8 regarding light. And the Sony 20-70 is FF. Since both lenses have the same weight and similar size curious to hear your opinion :)
Thank you!!! Hahahaha! You are very knowledgeable sir. You also know these lenses are very similar in their intended camera mounts. The 20-70 on my ZV-E1 is very similar to the 16-55 on my FX30, but you're asking about which lens I would choose for the ZV-E1. Even though I love the 16-55 I would easily go with the 20-70 on the ZV-E1.
If you wanted to go with one lens I would go with the 35mm F1.4. I think Sigma makes a nice one that's cheap. 35mm is the most natural focal length and is considered the focal length that our eyes see. I like the Sony 15mm F1.4 personally but that's more of a vlogging lens. It is good as an all-around lens as well but it might be too wide. Great for shots in tight spaces like in a car but for general purposes might be a bit wide. If you wanted to go exotic I would look at the Samyang autofocus cinema lenses. I'm personally always on the lookout for a good deal on these. If you're shooting short films and music videos these make a lot of sense. These are Full frame though but they should work on the FX30. This is a tough question because I'm not sure what you're shooting style is but these are my choices off the top of my head. Essentially get any lens that is an F1.4 and under. The Samyangs are T1.9 but even that is very good for low light but the lower F stop you go the better for low light video. All the best, and thanks for the comment :)
Hahahaha! Never tried to ingest beer up the butt before. I’ll just take your word for it. I shot the video in SLoG3 and color corrected in with the phantom lut. I’m also editing in premiere pro :)
