This is a nice relief after the cringe overdose I've had from the worst auditions compilations

Fantasia is one of those special people who not only know how to sing, but also how to amplify it.

Fantasia’s audition never fails to give me chills, like out a jacket on chills Carrie’s audition always makes me feel my first heartbreak all over again Katherine’s audition brings me to a fall park concert Paris’ audition makes me feel like I’m waking up from an afternoon nap to the smell of grandmother’s cooking and I’m safe Sean’s audition makes me feel the dust in my lungs from walking a dirt road hiding from the law I could go on and on. The difference between a good singer and a great singer is that a good singer is pleasant to listen to. A great singer hits every sense and memory and transports you to another time and place.

Elliott Yamin's audition should also be here. Absolutely beautiful.

When Adam Lambert is singing with that quartet, there is NO CONTEST; the man blows every single one of them away in one note, just one. Good Gods, if only he wrote his own material, you know? He'd have made the industry his bitch.

What I Like About These Singers Is That They All Sing and They Don't Exaggerate Their Voice.

After watching too many cringe auditions, I wondered, was there any good auditions? So I looked them up Wasn't disappointed

McFever's audition still makes me cry the same as it did the first time I saw it on the show. I adore her voice!

Some of them gave me chills!

Personal favorite goes to Kez Ban. I love when someone comes in with their guitar and an original song.

I didn't know Todrick Hall is also from American idol. He is so suppressed at the time, now he's like "Nails, Wig, Hips, Heels" and a whole lot of make up.

Fantasia is an odd case for me. She has insane talent, yet her voice just grates on me, even though it is not terribly different from Aretha Franklin, who I could listen to all day. I don't get it.

It was nice seeing Fantasia's picture in the room. A sign of excellence to aspire to. The guy at about the 10 minute mark, I wanted to hear more. I prefer the voices pure, raw, and vulnerable before all the coaching.

I think the older auditions are better than the new ones.

This was a really good compilation but there were a few omissions. Trent Harmon's audition was honestly one of the best I've ever seen and would have made a worthy addition to this video.
