I always love to eat with my hands that’s why I get very uncomfortable going to restaurant because u can’t eat with your hands because there u have to show the fake manners and others who r in restaurant finds it disgusting but I don’t care I eat 😄😄😄
@@Leena-jt8cm hi, very happy to read you love eating with your hands. I don't know where you live, and why this discomfort about eating with hands in restaurants. but it's all about your confidence and truthfulness. I as an half Indian live in Israel since the age of 10 and even when my sister and I made new friends at school and they came to our home, we explained them about our eating habits, and about chewing 32 times etc and was never mocked, yes I know many Indian/ Indian originated people in foreign lands who are ashamed of many aspects of the culture and it's really pitty. As I said it's all about the person. Just the way you're never ashamed of your child, why should you be embarrassed by these centuries old tradition which only benefits you? You'll be surprised to know, my son, 15 yrs old now, despite being born and brought in Israel, has started passing on the Indian part of his life to his friends, including the art of eating with hands. So if he can, why should a proper Indian like yourself feel embarrassed?
I never had a grandmother, she passed away before I was born, bit if given an opportunity, I would want one like her and I would sit and listen to her all day :)
You can still eat as a family off a table. You know why tables were invented? Because floors are dirty. Same as eating with hands. Forks were also invented for a reason. She is an idiot. Thousands of people in India die every day from dysentry and other infectious diseases because they eat on the floor and eat with their hands.
Crux of the video. ❤️ 1. Eat with your hands so as all your senses are being used while having the meal. 2. Sit on the floor while eating or on chair just simply fold your legs so as to ease the digestion. 3. Eat in silence rather than with TV , phone or any other gaget around. 4. Vessels play an important role too, every vessel has its own importance eq store water in copper vessel, ghee in steel jars. Hope this helps. ✨
I never understood why my father of Indian ancestry ate in complete silence and always told us "Eat, don't talk." He never had indigestion or stomach issues. Now I tell my husband the same thing! Thank you.
I am amazed about how you have incorporated culture into the taking of meals. Simply mind blowing! We really need to make this part of our everyday lives.
Our ancestors also told that we have to respect our food and do prayer before eating food. We also do prayer to goddess Annapurna and there is word in our culture respecting food Annam parabramha swaroopam.
MAA I just Want to say one thing . Your Thoughts About Life. And By life means Healthy and Enthusiastic life Changed our whole Perspective about The Lifestyle which we Follows Today's . Thanks Maa For Sharing This Knowledge with us
I love listening to you and try to apply as much as I can to my daily life, it's a great journey and all makes sense, over 50 now and just learning how to eat healthy and correctly 🙏
I love your expectations Ma'am. You remind me of my grandma. Yes it is true even the food which is filled with nutrition can be toxic if we don't eat it silently and enjoy the meal.
The oldest father in the world, a gentleman from rural India- birthed a son at 94. He drank at least 1 litre of raw milk a day + some almonds or vegetables or paratha. Clearly there is something to be learned from his diet.
Intuitively i've been eating sitting on the garden floor for two years I guess every more often, except when food is cooked and has to be served at the table. I mean I eat my fruit and my banana milkshake on the garden floor
thank you for your guidance! it really helps. 🙏 An immunologist once told me that people develop weak digestion because they lack exposure to various organisms. Eating with hands exposes us to a healthy levels of microorganisms; washing hands with soap and water does not sterilize our hands. It all ties in.. modern science is beginning to learn from ancient practices.
Thank you so much for giving the best insights on right way of eating. This will helps me alot. I like the way you shared infromation with science perspective .Thanks alot

“Show to the World the right way of eating- the Indian way!” Absolutely 💯 right!! 👏 We should cherish every little tradition and teaching that Ayurveda teaches us- this is our heritage, which we need to lead and teach the World, not run away from it and be embarrassed. Own it! Wear your heritage and ancient knowledge proudly. We are blessed to be born Indian. Now we need to share the knowledge with the rest of the world 🌎. It is the right time 🙏🏽❤️
AND OUR PRESENT GENERATION IS APING WESTERN CULTURE. IT'S RIGHTLY SAID THAT EAST IS APING WEST & BECOMING NON-VEGETARIAN, WHILE WEST IS BECOMING VEGETARIAN & EMBRACING INDIAN CULTURE. OUR RISHIS & SAGES HAVE PERFECTED PERFECTLY HOW TO LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE & BE VEGETARIAN. " SANATAN DHARMA SHOULD BE REVIVED. "
My father is a crorepati but... he always eat by hand and sitting on the ground only... Namaskar Mam 🙏🏻 , I love the way teach people. I've never been with my grandmother , & when i entered my teenage & could meet her(take a decision to meet her) she was no more in this world, but I'm sure she would be as sweet as you are ❤. May God bless you 🙏🏻
Incredible! Thanks a lot for sharing Hansa ji. I had the pleasure and privilege of doing the 1 month intensive course at the Yoga institute in 2008 prior to moving to North America.
Namaste ma, This is one of the topics which I was keenly searching for a long time now! Request you to kindly make detailed videos on each of the variables which you mentioned. Atleast on- 1. At what time of the day, what item(s) can be and should not be consumed. 2. FOOD SUITABILITY FOR EACH BODY TYPE. E.g. with current world completely globalised; except for Mangoes, all fruits are available irrespective of seasons.. Please enrich us with your wisdom 🙏

Interesting points eating with hands is basically a non western tradition. Japanese use sticks but based on food type.makes sense, no fork and knives in the southern hemisphere.
For some time now, my body wishes to eat sitting on the floor and in silence. I think of all the people involved in bringing to me the food that I prepared for myself and I am grateful. It’s great to hear from you, that this is the right way…! To me, was intuitive….the body asked for it. Of course that I can’t do this at the office, where all the people are toxic and unhealthy and eat with their phones on their hands… My home is my castle…
Food in Vedic period begins with cereals like rice and barley which formed a major part of food in Vedic period. The Vedic literature throws considerable light on the food and drink habits of the people of the ancient India. Among the food grains, the Rig Veda repeatedly mentions barley, particularly fried barley. These were used in preparing sweet cakes which were either dipped in ghee before eating or consumed with "Somarasa" prepared with curd and butter which formed a major part of Vedic meal. Along with this the food of the Vedic period include large varieties of pulses, dairy products, meat, salts and spices, sweets and a variety of beverages which reflect the culture of Vedic period that came through the food habits of the Indian people.
While I really really love your content, what I loved the most is that you have youngsters as representatives, that acts as a systematic and effective messaging towards younger gen.. Yoga, wellbeing practices and our culture demonstrated by you need to be encouraged more and more across all age groups, especially the Youngsters.
