This was really good. It’s so nice and different to see someone who has a realistic, useable collection of mini bags. So many RU-vidrs these days have collections of ludicrous tiny things that hold a card and a lipstick and are are so tiny that they make even someone built like a stick insect look fat and they have no idea how silly they look. It would be really enjoyable if you could do similar videos on medium and large bags. Nobody does those. They think everyone is only interested in mini bags and that’s not so.
This was wonderful! I’ve been hemming and hawing about the alma bb. I have the LV Diana and love it and would love another small crossbody bag, but every time I try to settle on the alma, something holds me back. You voiced all my unrealized concerns.
I had the chance to buy an Alma BB in Hawaii when it was less than $1k USD. But, the shape and taper up to the top made it hard to fit things into without the zipper going wonky. I thought the way the strap attached made it hang slightly crooked. I passed on it. People think that's crazy (especially with the price increases) but it just wasn't for me. I think my Chanel WOC is more useful.
I JUST sold my Alma bb. One of my first bag purchases but I only used it once, it was as you said, just….fine. Kind of meh. At least I didn’t lose any $$ when selling which is a good thing since it is a reasonably priced entry level bag that people want.

I also love my LV pallas clutch and I reach for her very often and enjoy that she is not delicate. I take her also with me on every journey. But I also love my chanel WOC and my classic double flap. And at the Moment I love love love my LV Mini Capucines🖤💕
I had to have three Almas BB (Ebene, Epi blu and Neo black) before deciding they were too small and difficult to handle for me. So I sold them like new. Beautiful bags, but not for me in the BB. I switched to two Tod's mini Sella, incredibly beautiful and useful bags. I also own two in the bigger size and I would like to buy more, but obviously they are not in production anymore and I have to rely on the preloved marked. Sad face.
I feel the same way about my Alma bb. I have it in the epi leather and galet color. Even though I was fortunate to get my hands on this bag, it’s just “fine” as you said. I’m selling mine--classic or not, it should make my heart flutter, but it doesn’t….so t8me to move on to another bag that will.

I absolutely love my mini Alexa, but am very disappointed to hear that they are made in China. I thought I was supporting British manufacturing!! Agree about the fiddly clasp too when the bag is not full.
Alma is not made from leather is fabric with plastic on it. It’s not a problem but a bit disappointing….many really don’t know. The embossed ones are leather but not the monogram or the checkered. The term WOC has another meaning btw.Turning a wallet into a bag is just a bit sad but young girls wearing it is differentfine. There are better brands out there if you want an affordable stylish bag. The Chanel is not a cross body bag I guess? All the bags with the zipper visible scratch your stuff especially your ‘WOC’ which seems to remain unmentioned in so many vlogs
@@birteandersen829 well no because the trim, strap and tag etc are made from leather. On a monogram piece it’s likely to be pale beige colour, untreated vachetta. On a damier ebene piece, it is treated leather. The main body of these pieces is not leather though, it’s coated canvas.
@@birteandersen829 not on the embossed ones. The embossed ones are ‘leather’ types for what it’s called but Damier and monogram are all vegetable and plastics but it will hold for a while. The vegetable leather is called vachetta.
@@april8782 thr strap is also not leather don’t buy these bags if you want leather. Vachetta is not leather, the trim ok, but that doesn’t make it a leather Bag, did you see this video?
@@birteandersen829 oh I’m sorry I watched the channel where they check this bag. This info not here but I can share many labels are a bit in the grey zone about product quality. Even LV vachetta (vegetable leather) is critiqued because of the chromium in it. LV vachetta is rich in chromium.
