This year was full of travel for me and best moment was getting a chance to ride Ferrari at paris which I never dreamt of and worst moment was falling from my bike with my beloved in Jaipur India during a ride for which she had agreed after lots of request ,she still has scar from that fall but that never stopped us thanks to people like you who keep inspiring and motivating us.

My best and worst moment was the exact same moment. I broke and dislocated my elbow mid summer. I had to get surgery to put it all back together. It took a months of recovery and I was home bound. But during that time, it gave perspective of who I am and what I want to do with my life. Awakening and self awareness emerged. Now going into 2019, I am going to be 38, I am now planning to travel internationally and in country. I am also enrolling back to college to get my degree in Anthropology. My main goal is to write about people and culture. This would have never happened if this accident didn’t not occurred. But in physical brokenness, I found spiritual healing. Thank Nadine for all your videos. -Sincerely- Zolly

Just in case, do a complete research of the degree. It is really nice but do not go romanticizing it. So far almost everything has been written so most researchers are dwelling onto how society is changing within cities, etc

Hey Nadine, I hope you enjoyed your time in Quebec city even if it was cold! I've been living there for the last 4 years and I love it! My worst travel experience of 2018 was a night bus ride from Nice to Chamonix with a 2 hours stop in Italy in the middle of the night with nowhere to go and no protection whatsoever, I was lucky I made a friend in the bus, otherwise I would have been alone. My best travel moment is a really hard hike I did in Chamonix, I was so close of giving up, I thought about it soooooo many times, but I did it and I was so proud to have found to strength to do it alone! The view was amazing, really worth it!

Hey Nadine! I didn’t get to travel a whole bunch this year. I live in California and I visited my brother and cousins in Arizona in the beginning of the year. I wanted to see my brother in Illinois but I couldn’t but I did pay for my moms ticket to go see him. I was pretty proud I got to do that for my mom who turned 50 this year. I went back to college this year, it was hard work and I felt a little out of place being in my 30s now but it took me this long to decide to go after the life I wanted. I really hope to do some solo traveling next year. You’ve really inspired me. Stay safe and healthy!!!

My best moment of 2018 was being able to finally become the ER nurse that was deep inside of me trying to come out. That's really lame and corny but it's something I knew I wanted to do since I was in middle school and when I first started out as a baby nurse I would have days where I was unsure of myself as a ER nurse but this year made me truly realize what a good ER nurse I am.

Best: stepping on the scale and realizing I had lost 50 pounds. Worst: Getting diagnosed with Achilles tendinitis, halting my progress. Can’t wait to get back at it. Thank you, Nadine, for the great content this year! Hope 2019 is your best year yet!

My best travel moment was watching the sunset in a vortex in Sedona, AZ. A Native American man started singing a traditional song as the sun went down, and it was the most peaceful moment filled with gratitude and bliss I have ever experienced!

Great list. Love ur hair in the govballnyc fest. Also high on life has been such an inspiration to me, it was very sad to hear the news. Hope u r doing well in regards to that. Hope parker and their family is doing better as well. Love snowy places. But my camera also stops working when i travel to those places. Looking forward to more vids next hear. Happy new year Nadine! My travel best was going to Europe for the first time! I did my first ever Contiki! I had never heard about Contiki until I watched your channel when I was in high school. Developing friendships from people across the globe was an amazing experience and I have you to thank for that. Another travel Best was beginning to develop my travel RU-vid channel. My travel worst was probably getting the Contiki cough and falling asleep during the second half of Hamilton in London

Hey Nadine, I am 19 and I'm from India. I have been following you for quite some time now. I haven't really travelled anywhere this year, but I moved to a new city for college. It has been a whole new chapter of my life. Living on my own, making new friends, exploring a new city has been overwhelming. One of the most memorable moments would be attending the Delhi Queer Pride Parade in Delhi, which was the very first pride parade I attended. It was such a joyous event, colourful and full of celebration. I look forward to much more in 2019. Thank you for being such an inspiration❤️❤️

Loved the video! My best travel experience was discovering the wine in the Czech Republic and touring the vineyards and storsge rooms. It's not well known and was so much fun! Worst may have been getting food poisoning from a touristy restaurant in Barcelona and not being able to see our friend who was in the city for a short time. Such a yucky night!

Best experience of this year was my solo first trip abroad to France for a month! I got to take a trip up Mont Blanc in Chamonix and it was my first time seeing real mountains! So incredible and awe inspiring! Love you and your videos Nadine!

My best moment was visiting Pena Palace near Lisbon in Portugal last month and watching the sun setting and lighting up the palace- genuinely one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. My worst moment was spending the night on a sleeper train in Thailand, lying on the bed and looking up and watching cockroaches run around above my head. (Although apart from the that the train was really fun). I absolutely love your travel videos. I first started watching them when I was trying to work out what to pack for my trip round Southeast Asia with friends and I remember your videos being so helpful. Your content is amazing, so informative and so inspiring. Thank you

My best for 2018: Going to Berlin, travelling with my brothers for the first time and having the best fun! My worst for 2018: Going through a minor period of depression last July. But all is good and I learned a lot from it. Thanks for your great content Nadine!

My best travel moment of 2018 was biking along the promenade d’anglais in Nice, France with my mom. It was so beautiful and relaxing. I was completely living in the moment. My worst travel moment of 2018 was when my family was flying to Terceira in the Acores. Our flight from YVR was delayed so we only had a 15 minute layover in Toronto. We luckily made the flight although our bags did not. We were stuck on the island for 2 days with no suitcases. It was 30 degreas celcius outside and all I had was sweatpants. Love you Nadine ❤️

Cool video! Travel isn’t all glamorous and this sheds light on that! My worst moment was checking into a bad hotel in Cuba super late after a full travel day, bugs in the room, hair on the sheets and when I showered, the drain didn’t work and flooded the entire room. Staff were unhelpful and I had to sleep in that room overnight until switching rooms! Best travel moment was snorkelling in Belize and seeing and swimming with a sea turtle in the wild for the first time!!

My best travel memory was probably hiking the Inka trail in Peru last June while I was studying in Chile. I never thought I would be able to complete an 8 hour hike as intense as that hike was. It was incredible!

Nadine, you are so sweet. It sounds like you had quite a year. I am so sorry about your friends. I had a friend commit suicide while I was on a trip years back. While it’s much easier to handle now, it will always stick. Praying that you will find solitude. Glad to hear you had some incredible times this year though! Gosh, your India vlogs were SO fun to watch. What a cool country! My best moment of 2018 was going to Israel by myself. I was supposed to meet a friend from Germany, but with her Dad being Iranian, she was too concerned that she would be in some intense questioning. Though I’ve travelled solo before, I think the time I had alone in Israel taught me so much about myself. The worst was having to cancel multiple trips this past fall. Between time, funds, and failed plans, it certainly was a bit of a letdown having to cancel those flights. But hey, 2019 is a brand new year!

Love the video, best time this year was Denver comic con the family had a blast there. The worst time was right before Thanksgiving my Mom had a stroke and a heart attack on the same day, but everything is good now. Keep the videos coming love the show.

Hello, I hope you are feeling better now and that you recovered from your burnout. I began my travel year with the worst in travel moment: being ill in Liverpool at new years'eve and spending the night at the hotel. I was actually ill for the whole trip, the weather was horrible and I did not enjoy the destination. Best: visiting the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, it was much beyond expectations. I also want to thank you for your videos in Russia last year: they gave us the inspiration to visit St. Petersburg and Moscow this year and we really loved those places. Claudia from Italy

My best travel moment is doing my first ever scuba dive in Australia and Skydive in New Zealand My worst travel moment is when my camera died 3/4 way through my trip from water damage. I had to track down and buy a brand new camera, so it was a very expensive and unexpected expense and had to cancel some activities in NZ

I had the best and the worst within the same month! Best: My mum and I saved up for a trip to Vietnam that we’ve always planned on doing together ☺️ We also surprised my grandma with tickets for Christmas last year so that she could come along. We went in July and had the most amazing time. So happy I was able to share that with them! Worst: I filmed and vlogged the entire trip and put so so much thought into it. After arriving back home, while in the process of backing everything up, I lost all my main footage 😢 It was so heart breaking! (On the bright side I still have my drone and gopro footage and I’ve learnt how to make do with what I’ve got when life doesn’t go to plan). Love you Nadine 💕

Best - reuniting with my friend in Thailand this past summer who I haven't seen since senior year of highschool. Worst - almost missing two of my flights while traveling throughout various places in Thailand... sooo stressful!

One of my best travel moments: The Fontanella Tea Garden in Mdina, Malta. Sitting on top of the medieval wall I enjoyed a heavenly marzipan, cherry cake and a maltese coffee while being able to see all the way across Malta to the other coast. I visited Mdina as part of a class trip when I was little and coming back was a very cool and nostalgic experience. Also on the same trip, visiting a wine bar in Valetta and sitting out on strait street on a warm summer night drinking a bottle of wine and gorging ourselves on a maltese platter with my best friend.

My best travel memory this year was studying abroad in Ireland. It was such a wonderful experience and I am so glad that I was able to do it! My worst moment was a 24 hour day filled with buses and planes and long long layovers. All to get from Italy back to where I was living in Ireland. It was a struggle.

despite all the bad, it sounds like you had so many great experiences omg. my worst moment of 2018 was definitely my car breaking down in nowhere west virginia for three days when i was on my way to meet with some friends to go to an amusement park. the best, though, was all of the planning and preparing to leave for my study abroad program in january, despite all the stress.

Love your videos! Probably my worst moment was traveling in Mt. Misen in Japan, we were hiking down the trail when we saw the signs indicating to watch out for super poisonous snakes!!! Yikes! Best time was moving back home to Yellowknife, Northwest territories in October. Got to see my beloved Aurora Borealis on the my first night back. Oh my 💓!!

What an awesome year of travel! My best moment of this year was exploring the island of Terceira, and my worst moment was walking in on one of my clients that had died. I am a dog walker and she was a regular client of mine so I had a pretty big attachment to her. She died of bloat (common in large breeds and she was a Dane). This almost made me give up my business and go back to the 9-5 world of working for someone else....almost but not quite!

Best travel moment for 2018 for me was walking through Venice and my entire trip from Milan to Rome to Venice! Worst was having my train ride from Paris to Milan cancelled when the French railway workers were striking. Luckily though, TrenItalia organised coaches for the travellers affected. 2019 is going to be awesome! Keep inspiring Nadine!!!!! 🎉

Best - My best friend moved to where I am in the UK, for the first time we were able to travel together not just to see each other! We did Scotland, Amsterdam, Paris and have plans for Prague, Iceland and Ireland next year!! Worst - Being in Paris the day France won the world cup! People were driving cars on the pavements, letting flares off in the street. Literally millions of people were in the street next to our hotel - getting trapped going down a subway stair case as someone tried to ride a motorcycle down it!

My best and worst moment was in Paris when France won the world cup and I received the call which told me my beloved grandmother died. It was impressing to witness all the happiness but then suddenly I got the bad news and I felt so lonely and so sad Because I was not with her

The best moment of 2018 for me was definitely getting the chance to visit Russia in Februrary. I went to both Moscow and St Petersberg and it was the first time I got to experience proper snow - it came right up to my knees! Needless to say, there were many snowball fights too! Your Russia video really inspired me and made me even more excited for the trip. I got to visit all the iconic places such as Red Square, the Winter Palace, the Kremlin and even experience a night on the overnight train!

By best travel moment of 2018 was probably visiting Marrakech over the summer, that was complete sensory overload for me but it was life changing. My worst travel moment this year, I have a lot of minor ones lmao. I got kicked out of a restaurant in Bordeaux because I only wanted to order drinks, not food. Ummmm I got food poisoning in Helsinki. I was talking a little loud in my hotel room in LA and the lady next door yelled “SHUT THE F*** UP” lmao. Stuff like that. But overall it was an amazing year, and your year sounded amazing too, Nadine! All the love ❤️

Best was leaving the country for the first time. ❤️ Worst was some family stuff I had to deal with. Overall an amazing year though and by FAR the one I’ve traveled the most in my whole life. Las Vegas, Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel.

Best moment for me in 2018 was going on a safari in South Africa and being surrounded by wild elephants. Worst moment of 2018 was saying goodbye to my grandparents when they left for Florida. Love your videos Nadine!

It was a combination of both - Best and worst for me was going on a cruise. It was the best because the weather couldn't have been more perfect the entire time and the views were beautiful - it was also the worst because a huge wave hit me straight in the back when I was in the Atlantic ocean (first time ever) in Miami and it knocked the wind out of me, as well as made my whole back tense up..which made my flight and car ride back home to Toronto even more enjoyable.

My best moment of 2018 was when I finally decided to take a solo travel trip to Seattle :D It was a huge decision for me and I am so glad I made it! You completely inspired me to try solo travel and it was one of the best trips I have ever gone on :)

Best was traveling through Europe for two weeks over the summer and seeing so many cities that I've been wanting to visit for years! And worst would have to be on that same trip in Paris, when I had a panic attack in the crowds of Louvre in a 34 degree celcius heat, and that really put a downer on the whole day.

Hey Nadine...hope you have a wonderful travel year for 2019 without a lot of "worst" experiences. My worst experience was travelling for my sister's wedding in India when my kid fell ill and he was screaming for the entire 3 hours in the flight and didnt allow anybody to fall asleep and to top it all I had to carry him and walk around in the flight where people were giving me all that "dirty" looks.... My best experience is about to come as my husband is taking us to Georgia to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary...I'm really looking forward to it and to get your card 😀...Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Nadine.....Love, Arya and I'm from Sharjah in UAE

Hey Nadine! Best moment was graduating with my bachelors degree and registering for my TEFL course so I can start traveling next year! Also, I have a tip for extreme cold travel! If you ever go someplace that cold again get vapor barrier gear (Warmlite is one of the best companies to get the gear!) and I promise you will never be cold again! It keeps your body heat close to your skin and doesn't allow heat and minerals to escape so you stay warmer without having to jump around or keep moving. I can't help with the camera freezing though 😮

Best: Seeing Yosemite nearly empty a week after they finally got the Ferguson Fire put out. Spent 4 days backpacking the High Sierras and hardly saw another soul. Awesome! Worst: Flight from NH to Atlanta with one stop in Baltimore. You'd think it would be easy enough, but it was the worst fiasco I've ever seen. I don't think an airline could possibly screw up more in a single day across the board. Travel or not, w/o a doubt the stupidest things I've ever seen, too much to type out! But.......Jan 2019---2 weeks in Torres del Paine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!! What do you have in store for us next year? Safe travels!

I’m young to travel but one of the worst moments of 2018 is when I got accidentally diagnosed with a problem in my back which was shocking but the same time encouraging and one of the best moments of 2018 is when my niece was born. 2018 has been a year filled with learning, laughter and joy also sadness, sickness and experiences. But it was one of the best years is my life.

One of the best moments of 2018, would have to be a spectacular trip to Italy, Germany and Prague during March. There were so many things that I loved from this trip from seeing the coliseum to walking in an actual castle. However, hands down the best part was being able to turn 17 in a German restaurant surrounded by my friends, some which I brought with me and other that I had just met!!

One of my best travel moment of 2018, was going on my second solo travel, this time to Germany. I had the best experiences. Also, my worst moment was Germany too. As a female solo traveler was awful feeling insecure about this guy who was picking on me. 🙄 Thanks for sharing your passion with us. You have no idea how much you inspire me. 💕

Ifva guy picks on you ask him why he hates himself and he needs to learn something about inner reflection. This applies to girls / women as well. Just tell them they are toxic. Just open your mouth give them their own medicine back, walk away and get them out of your life. Happy travelling.

My best moment is definitely my trip to Mongolia. Mongolia was one of my long standing bucket-list places and it exceeded all expectations. Easily my favourite country I've visited so far. My worst moment was probably dealing with some heavy depression in the spring.

Thanks for the video! Even though I wish those bad things didn’t happen to you, it’s interesting to see that even travel experts just get burned out every once in a while. As for me, my best moment(s) of the year were just how much I got to travel - Sri Lanka, Philly, New York, Portland, Seattle, Arkansas, Denver, and Sequoia National Park/Fresno. My worst travel moment was a hotel we didn’t vet well enough, and it was too late to change hotels that night. It had cigarette burns on the couches, knife holes in the wall, and bodily fluids dried to the couches. Awful.

My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 6 year anniversary in early December. I wanted to do something a bit different. We flew from SW FL to Phoenix, AZ for a 3 day mini getaway. We drove 2 hours north of Phoenix to Sedona, we hiked amazing landscapes and visited ghost towns. Absolutely amazing getaway that re-sparked our love for travel.

Best Travel Moment of 2018 was traveling to Paris and Amsterdam and Worst Travel Moment of 2018 was getting ridiculously sick in Paris, like no voice, fever, body aches...I was so sad! But I kept trucking along loaded myself with French pharmaceuticals lol Thank you for making these videos! It shows that yes there can be downsides but there are sooo many upsides to traveling and following your destination dreams! ❤️❤️❤️

best... backpacking in Europe (it was my first solo trip) and meeting lots and lots of other travellers along the way :) worst... having numerous panic attacks and depression because after the best vacation I ever went on (aka the backpacking trip) and realizing that travelling is what I want to do for the rest of my life I just couldn't handle my private life and having to go to school and waste endless amount of time doing nothing but sitting inside an ugly building and learning the most unnecessary things you could possibly think of. love your chanel btw 🤗

My best moment of this year was when we went to pick up my first ever dog, an alaskan malamute. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had, and to this day, I love her with all of my heart.😍😁

Traveling to Cooperstown, New York with my family to go to the Baseball Hall of Fame and spread my Dad’s ashes at Doubleday Field, because he never got a chance to go to Cooperstown himself. And taking my son to Disney World for the first time for his fifth birthday. It was also my wife’s first time to the park as well. Both were incredible trips.

My best moment this year was having the chance to go to Thailand with my bestie. We had the best time and I loved every second of it. Wort was definitely getting my phone stolen in Barcelona. I still had about 5 days left and I didn't even own a watch. I feel like Barcelona is really hard to navigate even with google maps. And obviously all the important travel documents were saved on my phone. But all in all Barcelona was still one of my favorite places I travelled to this year.

best: I traveled for the first time ever!! I spent a month in the south of france this summer so I'm really looking forward to those videos!! worst: My trip to Barcelona during thanksgiving got cut in half when my first flight got canceled bc of technical issues. A freak snow storm then caused me to miss flight #2. ((was literally stuck in the worst traffic I've ever seen in my life when the flight took of :////)

Best: swimming under the moonlight in Croatia and visiting Lokrum Island. Also, Amsterdam and Bruges with friends and my first solo experience in Mostar. Worst: getting lost in cold wintery Amsterdam because the maps were taking us to the front of Amsterdam Central and our ferry was leaving from behind the building.

Totally agree with the no-shower experience - my worst travel moment is kinda similar; not being assigned a room in a hostel in Paris after an overnight bus from Marseille. Had to somehow wash my hair in the sink of the dirty, underground common washroom because hey, gotta look good for the first time photos in front of Eiffel Tower 😝😄 And the best moment was floating with a donut floaty in the middle of the Mediterranean (even though I absolutely don't know how to swim!) 😍
