BEST and WORST Travel Moments of 2014 

My best and worst was when I traveled to Taco Bell last Saturday.

Swimming with manatees in the Crystal Springs has definitely been one of my highlights for the year.

I'm glad that you did this kind of video where you talk and explain things and complement it with video footage. I find it a lot more enjoyable than what the majority of other YTers are doing where they take a few clips of already released videos and cram them all together and call it "Best of 2014". You really improved your videos since you got your new gear, I guess one could see the good side to anything (even if you lost your precious equipment you came back stronger). 2015 should be pretty good for you if you keep up releasing such great content.

Love all your videos. You have enabled me to visit places I will never get the chance to experience except thru your adventures. Can't wait until the next one

What a great video highlighting some adventures you had this year! I hope 2015 brings you more travels and happiness. :) I loved your Mexico vlogs the most because I had been to the Maya Riviera just a few weeks before you, and it was fun seeing some of the same experiences again & some that I didn't have! I too visited Tulum, went swimming with the whale sharks, went diving, etc. You're right about the whale shark tour swimming - it WAS hard work! I remember getting back to the resort that evening and just collapsing; what a wild time it was. Your tour looked a little more chill than mine - we went out on a rough day and there were about 20-30 other boats there with tour groups! But it was an amazing experience & I loved seeing you swim with them too, you got some great footage! So the whale sharks would probably be the best thing that happened with traveling this year. The worst would probably be the terrible tan I got on that same holiday. I had a crazy bad mid-thigh tan where I was golden from just above the knees down.... but it could be seen whenever I wore shorts or some dresses for the rest of the season! But hey, when a bad tan is the worst part of a year of travels, you can't really complain! :) Happy New Year Nadine!

awesome video Nadine! The best travel moment for me would probably be the Mediterranean cruise I had with my family where we got to experience the culture and sights of Greece, Turkey and Italy. The worst would probably be the trip to San Francisco where my family and I went whale watching and my father and I got extremeeeely sea sick. (which sucks since I love water and marine animals) Hope you have an awesome new year! :)

Loved the video! My best moments: Oktoberfest and moving to Munich, Weihnachtsmarkts, being in the Winter Palace in St Petersburg (I am a huge Russian history buff and EVERYTHING HAPPENED THERE), seeing the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in my mum's home city of Glasgow, hiking in and hot air ballooning over Kappadokya in Turkey, partying on the beach in Barcelona around St Joan's Day... there are so many more things I could say too! Worst moments: Sitting in the wrong gate, missing my flight to Barcelona by five minutes because of the dash to a completely different part of the airport, and having to sleep in the airport overnight; a six hour layover in Tokyo when I couldn't leave the airport; the bad migraines I had while travelling in Russia and Denmark.

Oh my goodness, whatever you had post Amsterdam / travelling around England sounds just like what I got in Scotland last winter. That was probably my lowlight of the year - I was there to cover Hogmanay and instead I spent 2 days running to the nearest toilet and trying not to puke in public. Aghhh, horrible timing! My highlights would probably be finishing up my big backpacking trip in SE Asia, spending part of the summer enjoying the outdoors in Finland, and also going to the summit in DC. :) Looking forward to what 2015 holds. Great Video! Best travel moment this year was traveling with Contiki to Thailand, Laos and Camboida, such beautiful countries and amazing food and really really nice locals. Best parts of each country would probably have to be petting tigers in Thailand, riding Elephants in Laos and then seeing the sunrise over Angkor Wat in Cambodia. It was also pretty sweet getting to celebrate my birthday in Laos as well. Worst part of the trip would have been kayaking on a river in Laos with my GoPro secured to the kayak. We were getting splashed by another boat so we started splashing back and our kayak tipped. We flipped it back over and the GoPro was gone. Still sitting somewhere in that river in Laos.

My Best of 2014 was when I was at Dubai.. all 7 days spent there were fantastic! Went to Palm Jumeirah, did the Desert Safari, went to Ski Dubai at the Emirates Mall, toured all DUBAI, oh & went to the highest reachable floor at Burj Khalifa (928m). Loved it, the whole trip. All 7 days we had were well planned. | I went to Europe in 2013 and tried a bit to document my travels but couldn't do much! But I saw a couple of your travel vlogs before travelling to Dubai so I did documented those well! Going to start a RU-vid channel soon! :D. The only thing worst during travels was that I left some of my luggage at the hotel in Dubai :/ .. but other than that it was a great trip! :) P.S. Keep up the good work, you inspire a lot of people!

Thanks for making awesome video's Nadine! Such a tough question. So many travel moments made my year (or destroyed it, haha!) Best - Traveling to Milan, meeting my old exchange student friend (who I met in America when I was staying there for a year) for her birthday, going to see a Inter Milan-Juventus football game, getting wasted and all that for 50€! It's all about connections, haha! Worst - While working/travelling in Blois, France for two months I got Pheiffer and Scarlatine due to the fact I overworked myself! Woeps! Didn't stop me to visit all the castles in the region though :) Best - Going on Erasmus and living in Prague for 5 months! (currently still here) Amazing city, amazing people, amazing culture, it's pretty much amazing! Worst - When finally arriving in Budapest, Hungary after a 9 hour bus ride I found out that there was a problem with the hostel so me and my friends had to find a new one at 01:00 in the morning.... Walking through an unknown city when all you want to do is sleep... not fun, haha!

Fun video! Sorry about your back and I hope your body heals up soon. Best moment of 2014 is definitely landing in Amsterdam and knowing we are staying for how ever long we want! I love living here!! And I can't wait to travel more through Europe! Worst moment of 2014 was getting stopped a the UK border because I had a student visa that expired (for the UK) that I didn't end up using. I can definitely relate to the diving qual. This year I went to Turkey and got my first taste of diving; I was hooked. When I got back to England I joined BSAC (similar to PADI but more a diving club) I'm busy getting my Ocean Diver qualification which is the equivalent of PADI Advanced Open Water. really looking forward to some dives in the new year.

Over the summer, I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, all the way to the top!! That was not just the best part of my 2014, but the most proud moment I have had in my life! My worst was being on a ferry to Zanzibar, walked to the bathroom...... Walked into a coffin on the ground that was blocking all of the bathrooms for the 2 hour ferry!! Just found your RU-vid, and am inspired by your travel. It is honestly my life goal to travel around the world

I've been paddle boarding in bioluminescence also! It was in desolation sound bc, and it was completely unplanned too! We were just out on the deck of our boat this summer when we noticed sparkling in the water. We realized what it was and just happened to have two paddle boards with us. Great experience!

This is an awesome video! Word of advise though, you will want to deal with that back injury until it is fixed. I didn't, so now my back will give out on me all these years later. Been waiting for this video for a long time! lol

Hope your feeling better Nadine! :) My worst travel experience was when I traveled to North Carolina to visit some land that my grandfather left to me. I had so many Tick and Gigger bites on me and was covered in tree sap from head to toe! Had to get rid of my clothes. They were destroyed!

I could not tell you were sick on the Stonehenge trip, so I would say that's real professionalism. About the trek, I must apologise for not continuing to nag you about suitable footwear, but I really did think you had got the message. lol. Amazing video! Hope your back will get better soon! And my best travel experience this year is probably from my trip to Scotland. I went with school and we went by bus from the Czech republic. We took a ferry from Amsterdam so we had about 2 hours free time in the centre. And actually a month before that I was in Amsterdam for an exchange programe so when I went there again I met with my friends for those 2 hours and it was just amazing! We were just chilling in the centre and they took us on their bikes. It has really meant that I have friends in Holland now and that I can meet them whenever I want. That't probably one reason why I've fallen in love with traveling=meeting new people. And after that I had a great time in Scotland. Perfect combination :)

Love this video! Great idea. My best: My road trip out west in the U.S, going to small towns in Germany, seeing all the Sound of Music filming areas in Austria, teaching in a school in Croatia, and visiting Istanbul and seeing the Hagia Sophia. My worst: Breaking my expensive pair of sunglasses at the Neuschwanstein castle in Germany and not booking my hotel at Mount Rushmore, South Dakota. I knew Mount Rushmore was a touristy place but never did I think it would be so hard to find a hotel. You really can't go with the flow with hotels anymore, you must book in advance. We ended up having to stay in the worst hotel ever that was way overpriced. The night we stayed, there was a man thrown off the property for cornering a girl in the bathroom of the hotel and that just freaked me out! It was an awful experience but I'm glad it happened. Worst: River raft trip in Thailand on my 21st birthday, we stopped off at this dead tree you could climb and jump into the river from. I'm scared on heights and the sensation of falling, but got talked into climbing the tree. I stood up there for 10 minutes crying my eyes out in front of my tour group then had to climb down. It was humiliating. Best: I spent my 21st in Thailand! First proper travelling experience, went solo but with a tour group and it was the best experience ever.

Oh my gosh, you've had such an amazing and eventful year!!! Best travel moment: Although it may not sound eventful to seasoned travellers and such, I planned & took a trip completely by myself for the first time this year and it helped me gain more confidence and independence with travelling! And in 2015 I'm doing a work & travel dealio in the UK. SO EXCITED. :)) And it's really inspiring seeing all of the amazing adventures you go on, thank you for sharing them :D

oh and about the back injury...i know EXACTLY how you feel!!! I've been in the same situation for about a year now!!

Great video. Best experience for 2014 would have to be camping on the active volcano pacaya just outside of Guatemala City.

Best: When my family and I went to Austria and went INSIDE the Hintertux Galcier! Worst: was also in Austria, we got stuck in the glacier in an electric storm meaning we had to use torches and then the ski lift broke down we me and my step dad in it! Love your videos!

Best moment; Getting on mountain train in southern France and visiting the Mer De Glac and getting to go inside the glacier! Worst moment; Bringing euros into switzerland (forgetting they used the Swiss Franc) and not being able to exchange it as all the shops were closed on sunday, I had no money! Haha. This video was so fun to watch! My best travel moments included a summer French immersion program in Quebec City where I got to improve my French (you can watch me speak French on my channel for a contest that I somehow won) while experiencing all the lovely food, scenery, culture, and events. A highlight from that trip was speaking with a seemingly homeless man on the bus, only to discover that he was Daniel Lanois, a Grammy-winning record producer for Bob Dylan, U2, etc! Another favourite was my road-trip around Colorado where we drove up the scary winding road with no guardrails to Pike’s Peak. Both were life-changing trips for me and inspired me to create my RU-vid channel to film some of my future travels. A worst travel moment was when I hiked solo up to Hanging Lake forgetting my water bottle and got super dehydrated. However, the view was worth it.

My best moment was rappelling down a cliff in the Blue Mountains in Australia and the worst was when my friend had an allergic reaction to her dinner and had to stay the night the at a hospital in Sydney :( hope your back feels better!

Hey Nadine, My best was leaving -2 C temps on my motorcycle, covering 700 Km in 8 hours and arriving in 18 C temps at 10 P.M. Worst, being surrounded by a large herd of deer while sitting at a stop sign on my motorcycle. I thought Bambi was going to hop on board for a ride.

Loved this video and it really made me reflect on all the adventures I had in 2014! :D Best: moving to Germany to teach English Worst: hiking in the Cloud Forest of Ecuador during a thunderstorm... trying to hike uphill when the paths have all turned into mud is very difficult and not as fun as it sounds! xD haha Here's to 2015!

Worst - having my flight delayed, missing my connecting flight and spending 24 hours and half my birthday in the Las Vegas airport alone instead of Hawaii with my best friend! Best - snorkelling in hanauma bay when I finally got to oahu!

I love this video! I also got sick on a school trip when we visited Stonehenge. I had a stomach flu and felt awful. I couldn't enjoy the site as much as I wanted to :( Picking a best is much harder, there are so many! But I definitely loved my trip to the French Alps where I saw one of the most beautiful waterfalls! (There's a video at my channel) Oh, and bungee jumping for the first time! Definitely one of the best! In 2015 I'm going to Peru for 4 months. Now that's going to be an adventure! :D

Best travel moment of 2014: The journey which became the reason for my new love for travelling and has motivated me to want to see the WHOLE WORLD. I got to travel the entire East Coast of the US including popping into Canada and seeing Niagara Falls. I know it probably doesn't seem like much compared to other people but to me that summer was the best summer of my life so far and when I came back home to England I just couldn't wait to go back out there again and see the world. Going to Washington DC, Florida, New York and Ontario motivated me to actually work towards a goal. That goal being that hopefully I will get the opportunity to go back out there again after I finish my studying.

My best travel moment was when I travelled to Arkansas (from England) and then took a road trip with my sisters to Dallas, Texas!

Best was taking a one day flight down to Patagonia from Buenos Aires to see the Perito Moreno glacier!! sooooo worth it!!! Worst was the altitude sickness I got in Bolivia!! Literally could here my heart beating like crazy it was so scary!!

First trip abroad with a friend without parents (we were 18 at the time), we travelled from Manchester England to the east side of Holland for a music festival. As soon as we got there the rain started, flooded both our tents. The the food, we must eaten something funny as half the festival was spent on a toilet. The lake, the festival was set around a lake where you could go swimming, however something in that lake bit my foot and i still have the marks.... no idea what the freak it was, and this was back in June now. But all in all it was great

My best travel experience this year was Barcelona, I met some amazing people that I would love to see again soon and had just so much fun. I didn't have a bad travel experience in 2014:)

The SAME thing happened to us the second we got to Paris with the metro :( We had the worst day of traveling and my friend threw her ticket away and they were standing at the exit for the first time in any of our travels for a month! So a 1.50 euro metro pass turned into 50 euro :( I can't wait to do more traveling because 2014 was incredible for me thanks to your inspiration! I even vlogged it ALL and put it on a whole new channel!

Great video! Lots of adventure for you in 2014! Worst: Being sick in Hawaii! Really sucks to be sick whilst travelling and you are supposed to be having a fun time! Furthermore came to realize my stomach doesn't agree to any water in Hawaii except for bottled BUT that included ice! Meaning even ICECREAM! Yup that sucked big time and was a struggle to avoid after my 2 episodes of stomach ache since it's hot there! Ice cream is also one of my favorite foods! Also couldnt have smoothies! No drink with ice either! I didn't have tap water since I knew it probably wasn't the cleanest one, didn't occur to me that meant ice also! Anyway my friend was able to eat icecream without problem :( only my sensitive stomach. So when I went to polynesian centre, there was a buffet! My stomach was upset, I couldn't eat anything! And basically spent alot off time sitting/toilet as was in pain to walk around! Another worst moment- My mobile in the US! I just couldn't get it to work :( Even with travel sim. I did buy a new phone, a cheap one only for txt and call but then that broke down also! So basically my wifi was extremely limited only went on if the hotel had a computer lol. No music either as that was my phone. And I relied on payphones/hotel to contact parents! I swore it was like I was cursed with mobile phones lol. But it did make me feel self conscious traveling solo without a phone even though I'm in a tour group! Paddling/canoeing- came to discover, I'm bad, really bad at this lol. Although I gave it a shot, this wasn't the activity for me. Myself and my roommate (thank goodness she was patient putting up with this.) we were paired together. For some reason we just couldnt coordinate even though we paddled the same time, we kept getting stuck going the opposite way. Basically it got that bad that we were told to separate that one of us go with the professional and the other do it herself. As we also were holding up the group. Soo that was embarrassing! Best- ziplining in Canada! It looked scary at first and yes, I was nervous! But the view! Wow! And that gliding feeling! Highly recommended if you get the opportunity! Do it! Viva las Vegas! I actually was expecting not to get into the city too much coz I'm more the scenic, nature type! Anyway actually turned out to be one of the funniest nights on tour! The buildings were impressive and the limo ride on the strip was the best fun! Music mostly was britney spears and it did get get hard core you know clubby music repetitive beats. Normally not into the techno, experimental, repetitive beats but we kinda made fun of it anyway. Some corny dance moves were made, lots of laughs! Even the limo driver said we were a fun bunch. We were pretty crazy but barely had alcohol either although you'd probably would think so the way we carried on! Grand canyon- wow! You do get a sense of overwhelming feeling when you see it the first time! It is beautiful and does make you appreciate the world. I was so mystified with it, I didn't want to leave lol when our group had to leave. Definitely worth seeing with sunrise and sunset too! Hot air ballooning- was a great experience in Sedona. One of the groups got stuck on a tree lol! Luckily not my group or that would be under my worst travel moment!

My best moment from 2014 was My Summer Vacation Where my parents and i sailed Around in Denmark for a month, No drama, no fights and much happiness. I wish i could go back.

Awesome! My best: off the coast of Malta on Gozo at a place called Azure's window. The waves were huge and we found a perfect rock to climb out on and the waves crashing on it from either side spraying all around us but we never got too wet. Worst: Kind of a long story but basically I was watching a bathroom door that didn't lock for my friend in Trieste Italy and was confronted by a rather large man with a pink cowboy hat (on some type of drug) with a kitchen knife. He was staring at me, but as soon as I started to feel super scared he sprinted into the mens bathroom.

I'm danish and i went to Collogne for a weekend. Best moment: Actually travelling alone was the best kind of freedom i have experienced, it felt really nice. Also the food in germany was just awesome. Worst moment: The train trip on the way there and on the way back. On the way there i was in a coupe with a syrian family with kids who was going on vacation in Bohn. They argued, discussed, yelled, screamed at times in syrian to each other and i didn't get any sleep that day, needless to say that haunted me the rest of the weekend. On the way home i got into a coupe of 2 guys from close to where i live who had been in amsterdam for smoking and drinking. They weren't quite either.

Best travel moment was in Italy. There were enough of us that we were able to hire a private boat for the day and do a boat tour from Sorento to Capri. Beautiful.

My best travel moment was when I moved to South Dakota for 3.5 months from Long Island, New York. I lived in the mountains and saw Mt.Rushmore, Devils Tower in Wyoming and so much more. It was the time of my life ^_^

I can relate to the food thing Mexico was not always kind to my tummy. I think it had more to do with the ice drinks though people aren't kidding about being careful about drinking water there...though the trip overall was awesome and I did get to watch two girls in my group do a throwdown on each other, which was funnier than I think intended it was still a good trip.

haha I was wondering whether the Amsterdam food poisoning would be on there! Looks like a wonderful year (apart from the worst moments!). The underwater footage looked amazing!!

2014 was my graduation year, so to be honest, i was much too busy to go many places. in the winter months, i got to go to grouse mountain (woohoo fellow vancouverites!) a few times to snowboard and make use of my seasons pass. i'm still very much a beginner, so there were many times when my friend would ask if i wanted to go, and i'd be reluctant, but the times that i did go, i loved it, and constantly wondered why i didn't go before. May long weekend, the same friend, plus a few more, took us to Sechelt for a small camping trip. it was the first time i'd ever gone camping without my family, and although we were kind of just camping in his grandmother's back yard, it was a pretty great experience. it was also the first time i'd jumped off a pier into the ocean! i'd wanted to do that since i was maybe 12? i went to white rock for the festival of the sea, and i think it was the first time i'd seen people jumping off the pier there. anyway, in the end of september, i went on a short cruise from vancouver to LA with my family, and the stops along the way were honestly kind of boring, and there was a lot of family drama, so that might have been my worst travel experience for this year. however, i did finally get to go to disneyland for my first time ever, so it wasn't all too bad. hopefully next year i get to go to some more exciting places!

fun to watch but now as a dutch i feel bad because of the food and want do something i think know why you got sick so here a TIP if you get back to the netherlands if you going to eat out of the wall dont do that unless you see them put stuff in the wall some but not all stores forget the food and they are left there for a few hours so you can understand that is not good if want to eat there just order it we most of the time just order it

You're truly an inspiration 3 My best travelling moment was river rafting in this beautiful place called Dandeli in India! :) just LOVEDD it! worst travelling incident was driving through the "ghat section" while going to Nashik. Kept throwing up. :( But it was worth it! :) cuz travelling be da bestest eva! Just know that you're awesomeeeee n stay that way! XOXO

Wow, quite a year! The White House?!? Okay, I want to get on that list for next year, gotta get to work traveling for 2015. First stop: Mexico. Let's see, best travel moment of 2014 would have to be trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal. Worst travel moment? I guess when I was attacked by a goat?? Ha ha, it was just playing with me. No, it would have to be when I was turned back at the Laos border because my passport was full (without me realizing it) and I had to go all the way back to the U.S. embassy in Bangkok, two days on a bus out of my way! But at least I got into Laos afterwards and got to see it. Happy New Year and safe travels!!

Worst-hiking in Australia to a waterfall in flip flops. Oh and then Getting to the top of the mountain and the waterfall being dry. I feel you Nadine. I feel you. Best- getting proposed to on top of a mountain in Tennessee❤️ Worst- camping on a mountain and leaving food by the fire at night.. And then being woken up at 1 am to a possum eating our leftovers. And then again at 3am to a massive rainstorm in a borrowed tent (which we didn't build correctly) Best- having a private tour of gettysburg. So worth the money. Worst- not having pre booked hotels and driving around at 2am looking for somewhere to sleep in 16 different states. Best- Holding a koala. So freaking cute.

Best: camping under the stars in the Sahara and FINALLY getting to see the milky way (probably my best travel experience ever!) Worst: getting what's nicely calls the travellers flu but basically involved your bath experience but during a five hour flight 🙈

BEST: Spending my 20th birthday in Orvieto, Italy on a trip with my culinary friends from my school! I got to pick out an aged bottle of red wine for everyone to drink along with climbing to the top of the bell tower with the most AMAZING view! Having a birthday cake made for me and having the most authentic amazing Italian meal i have ever had! And of course partying the night away! OR I would have to say relaxing in Mexico with my mom, aunt and two cousins by the pool everyday and spending some quality time with the swim up bar!

worst was coming best to iceland because i had been there for most of my life :) , best was going around europe from west to east and then south to north :D

Best: taking a break during a 16-hour leg of an eastern Canada road trip to just stand in the ocean at sunset and draw shapes in the sand with my swollen toes. Worst: flying back home for my cousin's funeral

Best: Taking a road trip by myself to Ohio for 10 days visiting college friends Worst: feeling very sick on a double flight back from Ohio

my best travel experience was going to LA for an alternative spring break to build a house for someone in need. my worst travel experience was pulling my back in my sleep when i was in london on the second to last day, it made the long flight one of the worst flights of my life.

btw my favorite travel moment this year in 2014 was going to Tucson in Nov for a friend's wedding! My worst travel moment was when I was traveling back home and stop in a super 8 motel in New Mexico and the lady there was cleaning(vaccuming) at 11:00 at night so annoying! Couldn't sleep since the hotel and town was kind of run down!

i think i would feel a bit scared swimming through the underwater caves as i would feel too closed in. my best travel was snorkling in the crystal clear sea in ibiza, sadly i forgot my waterproof camera so couldnt film it. my worst was not preparing for the very over crowded, hot hippy market! omg it was so hot and crowded that everyone was literally stuck together by the sweat of one another

Worst: I was working as an Au Pair in Las Vegas, one day I broke my ankle and I had surgery... not cool I had to come back home I wasnt able to complete my au pair year and I missed my flights to Maui, Hawaii. Best: after one month of coming back home I had the chance to go back to Las Vegas to a Music Festival, my ankle wasnt super fixed so I traveled all the way from Mexico to Vegas by myslef on a wheelchair... on one of the festival concerts people saw me on the wheelchair and said "You can't see anything from there" so they lift me up and I did crowd surfing on a wheelchair! People took many pictures of me! Crazy and Super Fun!

Oh no! Do you know how you rotated your pelvis?! Hopefully it continues to heal well! My best travel experience this year was going to Italy - specifically I really enjoyed Naples. It was so much more Italian than Milan and Rome - all of the people were so nice!! I also had some amazing italian food there, and good wine, of course! I think the best part about Italy was just really becoming more confident in myself and learning to really branch out of my comfort zone! My worst was also in Italy, when I had my iPhone pick pocketed in Rome - right outside the Roman forum. It really put a damper on my visit to the colosseum - when I started looking for it to take pictures and it was nowhere to be found :( Luckily - I had everything backed up before I left so all I lost were the pictures I'd taken while in Italy (but I'd taken most on my DSLR, thankfully).

My best and worst travel moment of 2014 is kind of a two-in-one thing... it was C2E2, it was fun being at the convention. Afterwards about a month or so I lost those friends.

That thing that happened to you in the spain metro station happens too in Germany, probably in most countries of europe...

BEST: Snorkelling with turtles on the Gili Islands, so beautiful! WORST: Getting a bladder infection, stuck on a train for 15hrs before I got back to Bangkok. Horrible, painful experience.

I think I have to the Amsterdam thing! :P

Best: seeing four polar bears in one day while sailing in the Arctic 😃 Worst: losing a hiking trail in a national park in USA and no map to get us back (obviously we figured our way back but the panic!)

Other than missing a flight, diarrheas, and drinking too much the worst are often also the best like escaping the mosquitoes to an icy stream because the were so loud (many) you just couldn't sleep or kayaking ten hours in the rain without rain coat because the forecast kept promising it'd stop in 30minutes.

Best: Moving to Germany for 3 years!!! Worst: not being able to find a taxi in a remote Greek town and wondering how in the world we would get back to the train station. ( a few locals called for us and finally got one - so really not that bad haha)
