Hey guys! Just a little helpful video we made in between the crazy editing of Episode 5. We maybe plan to do one for Winter, Summer and Fall when time comes. Thanks!
Galactic Hunter takes you on mysterious adventures to other worlds. Whether we are visiting planets, galaxies, nebulae, comets, or star clusters, the goal of Galactic Hunter is to teach you astronomy through one of the most rewarding hobbies: Astrophotography. Join my wife and I in our galactic adventures, and question everything you know about what lays outside of our little world.
Do not forget to vote for the next target in the comments, and visit the website where you can see a gallery of our older captures.

You guys are so cool to talk to. I love your books. I polar aligned last night and was so happy. I have been trying for a while and was confused. I did it 3 times. I use postmaster I took my time and I did a dance like yours when you did a set up by yourself.I am soon going to take your classes your pictures on this website are awesome

Thank you. It would be nice if you included information on the equipment used for each shot since most of them appear to be Hubble type photos. It would be nice to see a more realistic shot of what we might get. One for each season would be nice.

@@GalacticHunter Guys, i finally got them! It won't win any awards, but after waiting through cloudy nights, i finally managed to snag a good enough stacked image of both the Bode's and Cigar galaxies. And a bonus, i managed to capture Markarian's Chain as well. Now to pick a next target....haha

I'd definitely love to see a video for each season. As someone just starting out, I don't know much about what targets are good for each season. I've also got the same Orion 8" Astrograph, so if you guys can get it then I'm sure I can at least try.

Glad it helps! We'll do it for each season. Next time we'll add the magnitude and size so it's even more helpful.

Hmmm .. I kinda consider the Rosetta nebulae more a winter object, but I guess if you don't have southern skyglow (like I do) its doable. Anyway cool video.

Is that a KSP space ambience/ song I hear ?? Cause it’s goooooood
@andrewlindenfeld6222
@andrewlindenfeld6222 2 года назад
Indeed it is! It’s one of the sound tracks that plays when you’re cruising around in space. It was the first thing I noticed when I played the video so I scrolled the comments to see if anyone was as nerdy as me to have noticed and low and behold!

Great stuff! Really impressed with the quality of your videos. This channel has a great future. Personally I think your channel branding would suit a bit of anime-style branding, just like the Big Picture Science guys at the SETI Institute use of their twitter profile. Don't you think you guys would make cool anime-characters? :) Anyway thanks for making these videos, we're delighted to share them on the Astronomy and Astrophotography parts of out website. Hopefully we can help get the word out.

This kind of branding would be a cool idea! Maybe not anime style but something original like that would be great, we'll think about it :) And your website is awesome, thanks!
