Best Base Building Tips in Palworld - What You Need To Know 

Also a great tip - if your pal fainted and you dont want to wait for 10mins (because they are your workers or transport (as they will be super low on hp so not a good method for fighters)) you can put them into the display pen and put it back into your inventory. They will be up immiedately with 10hp and slowly regenerate in your pocket, you dont have to wait for 10mins. Also this box is great to exchange pals with your guild mates.

Had my hilltop base raided by an ALL flyer raid. So not imune but extreemly rare.

I'm really impressed with how the team have kept to their roots with this one. A true upgrade to Craftopia, the reuse of their technologies and assets, you and can see and feel the remnants of all the great bits of the game and their improvements. The pets, some of the UX the building and AI, the dungeons, the boss podiums, raids skill trees ( literal). I hope that they plan on updating Craftopia to this level too, with a potential $125m, this has been a fantastic effort from the team and they barely had to change much 🎉.

What i recommend is building at least 2 bases. One will be your main base, the other your ore base. Build the second behind the old church on a hill in the forest area with a red ground. Have it smelted there to, ive gotten about 2k ingots in 2 hours of playing with this base set up. Just have pals with mining 2 or 3, a few for mining, a berry farm, a cooking pot, and 2 smelters. Use the mushrooms and the berries to make the mushroom stew. This base becomes self sufficient, just pop buy it every so often to make more mushroom stew and transfer ingots to your base. Id say once every hour or two. Takes about 3 minutes of upkeep in my experience. Whats nice is you will know when they run out of food because they will start eating mushrooms or berries and that will pop up so you know to head back and make more food, but i recommended to just constantly be makinf the food and when you pop in just transfer whay was cooked while you were away into the feeding basket thing. Food doesn't decay when sitting in the pot.

12 hours to late. I moved my starter base because of the poor location. I chose a big flat area with resourses. Moving bases is a pain. Well apparently a world boss spawns in beside it and stomped my base flat. 😢

3:00 about ore farming - You can set up somehow automated ore base, you have to visit it once a day though as Pals are not very good at gathering ore that is loosely on the ground (Digtoise, Mudsomething and Tombats are nice for collecting ore). It's producing 50-100 ingots a game day depending on how often you re visiting it. But the best method I found so far is to visit ore spawns near teleports (so like desolate church, the one you shown here, or the one on the north side of the map), farm it all with a boar (its super fast, drop it on the ground if you re too heavy and pick up only after you finished) and then transport yourself to the teleport with grappling hook (it ignores the weight). Im getting 200-400 ingots per farming session, depending on how much spots I do, its really amazing.

These are all great tips! I lucked out in not trying to go too complex with my first base.. I have everything outside, decently spaced out, so my Pals don't get stuck too often. (That being said though, they do get stuck in random spots, even on a bed. ha)

I picked this game up a couple days ago thinking I would just hop in and try it out… next thing I know I’ve put in 23 hours and loving it! I’m level 18 now and Rayhound completely messed up the first tower boss… and I got to check out the volcano area in the top right area of the map and it’s LOADED with Fire eggs… I got to hatch a jumbo fire bird 👀 Literally loving this game so much and my favorite thing to do in it is to build :) wish my Pals would just mine the rocks when I tell them to… at least Rushoar listens to me…

My favourite base spot I found so far is the flat area right next to the Mount Flopie Summit fast travel station. It's flat and in a very central location. Raids spawn below and get stuck on the cliff to the north. And best of all, there is a plentyful ore spot right down a small cliff to the east. Perfect to get back using the grappling gun after a short mining trip. Plus, there is a skillfruit tree located on the lower plateau in quick access range.

It’s a good spot but it is still open to attack. I have been attacked by Robinquill’s that toss down some sort of fire attack from the cliffs and then jump straight down and attack my base at this location. All other raids have been unsuccessful though so it’s still very defendable.

The grapple tip is a game changer .

You can almost be certain that once this game gets more updates and goes into full release, the raids will be spawning in on gliders and flying pals with the ability to raid bases that are high up and normally “impregnable”. People will have to eventually prepare for this likelihood I would imagine.

These unreachable bases are gonna get raided by birds in a patch eventually lol

What are your plans on play throughs? I don’t know if I should be really taking my time and making things perfect as if this will be my only base/game instance. Can I start a new game and keep my old world? Whats the level cap and have people essentially beaten the game? Idk how to strategize from a time investment standpoint lol like Destiny is 1 character and that’s yours forever unless you want to lose all gear. Most folks don’t do that. Is this similar? Or are people planning on several play throughs? Thanks

8:30 holy shit that's mind blowing. my pals can go up the stairs but are unable to go down the way they came. so when they wander or finish defending they end up on the upper floor unable to get back down. i think this is due to the fact that the floor is ground and the stairs are placed so there must be some kind of gap that they can't get over. two solutions that i can think of, either the entire base is floors or it's entirely normal ground. it's pretty annoying but i unlocked the second base so planning on just moving lol. going to go find a nice spot with some ore that regrows so i can leave miners to mine it (lvl 2 miners can mine ore!)

I think that Fallout 76 did something right when it came to base building that Palworld could implement. Which would be the ability to store workstations/building parts and have all bases linked, so if you didn't like the roofs or decor, at one location, you can move them elsewhere without having to disassemble, and carry items to and from the different bases

Need tips on building larger bases. The foundations are so buggy to put down, especially when there's weird terrain.

Flying enemies spawn at higher levels, so no base is safe. I had a base next to a cliff wall, the flyers spawned on top of the cliff and flew right down into the middle of my base.

I hav ea chest next to each one of my resource farms on my base...I STILL watch my Pal's drop stuff to pick up something else and have stuff scattered all over my base, lol.

at 190 -30 there's a ton of ore on a mountain, also a good spot

What if you want to move a base you upgraded? Does the Pal Box stay the same level? Or will it go to level 1?

Sometimes when you place things down, the pathing to them is BROKEN. For example. I placed down a workbench and couldn't get any pal to help out on it. Even assigning them manually just threw out the generic error (Pal need Cooling or some nonsense like that, it seems like 50% of errors in this game give that as an error message). So make sure never to build things by yourself. GENERALLY, if you pals build it for you, the pathing is okay. If they don't come running to build it for you, DO NOT BOTHER< cancel it and try somewhere else. Also don't build walls inside your base (if you absolutely want them, place them far away from the blue circle and not right on the edge of it - you CAN do that, you just have to drag resources to do so in inventory - otherwise your pals will spawn and get stuck on or outside wall with pathing error and starve to death there), and make sure if you build ANY building, it has a ramp down from roof and every floor. I wouldn't try building more than ground floor anywhere, even with stairs inside the house, pals can't path there. They just spawn on the second floor and starve to death. Since nothing but your bed actually needs to be inside, 1x1 or 2x1 foundation building with a flat roof and stairs down one side is perfectly enough. PS: Get Grappling Gun. It might seem bad at the start, but each higher version has longer reach and faster cooldown, and you can pull yourself around your base even if you're carrying 15000 weight of stone. Really useful for the trips to your other base where your sla- I mean Pals endlessly harvest wood, stone, milk, eggs and wool and bring it to your main base all in one go

Also, did you disable building deterioration? Chests are supposed to take damage if there is no roof above, it is stupid, bit it is how it is in vanilla settings

I have had a weird bug where a raid happens and when my pals rush the enemy they end up pushing the enemy into a wall and when the raid ends ALL of my pals are having seizures with the red icon above their head like they are fighting when they aren't and they won't work. Only way I found to fix it is to remove the palbox and place it down again then you have to rebuild your ranch, incubator, and much more because they instantly get destroyed when you remove the palbox. Its quite annoying and I recommend not putting a base near existing castle like structures unless you have good deffenses set up. I had none so they just rushed in. I also feel like you should be able to cut them off and fight before they get to your base but they just run right past you and bumrush

There is a very early mountain zone with 7+ metal nodes on top. It's near the Fort Ruin fast travel point and can be identified by an old rope bridge connecting 2 mountain tops. It's across the bridge right behind the level 11Chillet boss and for some reason raids very rarely go near the boss so the bridge is safe for now. Edit: After a long time a set of exploding birds made it across the bridge for the first time. The bridge seems to be the only entry point they can use thus far.

you havent yet experienced the flying bird raid with 2 level 35+ beakons flanked by several lvl 30 ish galeclaws have you?

Your Pal didn't glitch to go behind the mill and crushers, that's literally how they work. They face you but they're watered from behind. Same for the 2nd furnace being kindled from the side. Maybe a bit too big brain a move on their end? But still

One thing I can share with you all that has happened to me when making these cliffs bases is every now and then some of your bigger pals will literally just slip off the cliff even if they can fly 🤣 hopefully they eventually improve the AI when it is moving around because the amount of times they get stuck in cliffs or fall off a cliffs if you're just not in a big open area is ridiculous. It's like they did not test any of these creatures near a cliff 😅

Don't worry about keeping Pals cozy, if they get sick etc. just replace them.

They will DEFINITELY patch that cliff base

How do you get them to mine the ore? in my game they just go straight to the quarry structure and ignore the ore nodes in my base.

I have found a base location where it physically can't be raided to the point a raid never even starts. out of all 3 bases that one has never gotten raided while the other 2 has had around 30 raids each

So many RU-vidrs are forgetting to give coordinates when they recommend locations in Palworld! In your beginning base recommendation, you zoom in right before you have your cursor over the location. Frustrating. Otherwise, great video!

Another tip: turn off structure deterioration. If your building is outside of the base limits it will fall apart.

I am hoping the game improves the Pal pathing so we can have things inside for the Pals. It just got released and still in early release so I am sure over time we will see various improvements and I can not wait. :)

When I get raided, I just hop on my flying mount and use tornado to kill everything and get that sweet loot. It's so easy since they ignore you and just run towards the base 😂

I have a base that’s way out in the open but everytime enemy invaders spawn they spawn from the top of a cliff and can’t make their way to me, this game needs serious fixing in the path finding department

I had to destroy my 1st base. My base pals were getting stuck in a wall and starving to death😢.

Just deactivate raids in world settingsxD... and build stuff how you like it :D. Height of 3 and stair wide of 3 are mandatory if you want big pals to work in base. Short and clean doesnt cut it ... just saying. If you make a tips video atleast do it right xD. Outside of that. Have roofs over the large containers with stairs attached. Cause pals get stuck on those. Put a storage container close to each item generating industry. Pals will get the stuff and store it, if there's one closeby and they got time and the skill. Use Pals with Store 3 Skill like Vancryst. They do it fast and fly, less "stuck" problem if your base accomodates their size. Have one Storage box right next to the pal box. Easy way to get alot of heavy stuff into your base and then refine it. Like 5000 units of ore my mining base produced... Prefer Pals with a single skill they're good at, if your base is mixed in functionality. Otherwise a pal with Skill 1 Watering and Skill 3 in something else, might get stuck watering... etc.

Pokémon has a product that is part of the culture. Instead of trying to press charges and do investigations. They should drop an almost like a 10 year plan. Drop each region as a full open world. Have us buy battle passes. And get that unlimited money farm that every other company does.

Be warned: if you build your base from all wood, enemy raids can set it on fire and the fire will spread and destroy your entire base.

I dunno man. Having to build defenses is a fun aspect to the game. Plus that cliff side is dangerous to pals if you’re not micromanaging them, as you’ve showed in the vid. And lastly, I believe you can only fast travel to your box, not from. So placing base near a fast travel node is important I think. Especially since there really isn’t pvp
