A glitch with the Blaze AI makes this farm almost unusable in Survival. They can see you through blocks sometimes, and will shoot at the wall even when they can't hit you. When they get stuck in the minecart and shoot, they will break it, and you can't go in there to fix it, or you'll aggro all of them and break everything. I don't recommend the minecart thing. It breaks too easily.

This farm is very tricky to get going in survival. I almost gave up, but decided to download the world and double check and I had a few extra glass blocks around the ejection chamber that was getting the minecart stuck and also causing the blazes to be ejected out of the farm. Broke a few blocks and now it's awesome. One thing I definitely recommend is to make the killing chamber not visible to any other mobs (including the blaze in the farm) and make an entrance/exit that is also secluded this way the blaze don't become aggro. That's what causes majority of the issues for me. Thanks for the tutorial Snocrash, loving it now that I have it working properly.

just built this it's working awesome even if you miss a mine cart, the blaze sometimes stop the minecarts but it will fix its self working great so far!

Im having issues with my blaze going down the shoot. they are not going down/ sometime they pop out of the farm entirely

This farm is broken in 1.11.1 -- the blaze are dropped on the activator rails that the minecarts travel over in the collection chamber. If anyone has a fix, please let me know. I just finished this farm yesterday and now it is essentially useless. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am having a issue with the blaze farm I built it exactly how it is in the tutorial with the glass walls and I have a high roof on top of it but the blaze still seem to be aggroed at me and they keep breaking the minecarts what do I do I used white stained glass and nether brick?

well i wasted 8 hours to build this and it dosent work, great. the blaze just keeps breaking the minecarts

The minecart gets stuck after it moves one blaze to the end, and the blaze doesnt fall into the chute. please help.

Their getting stuck were the blazes are supposed to be shot into the chute, even with the downloaded one :/

It seems to be broken in the latest 1.11.1 snapshot. I modified it a bit to work. It mostly works (98% for me), but once in a while, one of the lower carts somehow makes its way to the upper rail system. I'm not too savvy with this kind of stuff, but maybe you might be able to improve on it. World Download: goo.gl/PDdWoR

EDIT: I GOT IT WORKING! I was able to reproduce my problems in the world download, thus letting me know how to fix it! Thus it IS WORKING on my multiplayer server! A few things to make this farm work: A) The chute MUST be open to the sky! DO NOT CAP IT OFF! B) The block directly next to the trap door, opposite of the side of the track with the pistons MUST be open! The one underneath of it can be closed up to prevent them from wandering, but THAT SPECIFIC block MUST be open! I just got it working, so I don't know about how the exploding minecarts and such. I'll probably have to encapsulate much of the build in solid blocks to prevent them from seeing and shooting me, but atm I'm just happy to have it working! ORIGINAL COMMENT: Although this DOES work in 1.10.2 in SINGLE PLAYER CREATIVE, the quirks of multiplayer servers PREVENTS this from working properly on MULTIPLAYER severs: 1) If the blaze can see you - such as from inside the spawning chamber through the glass wall (which looks really cool) then they'll shoot, even if inside a minecart, and thus DESTROY the minecart! This should be easy to remedy by simply closing up the build so they can't see you. I haven't tried this fix officially because I've been focused on the second issue. 2) The BIGGEST issue with this build is that the activator rail DOESN'T push them off into the tube. The blaze unload, and stays right where the minecart is, preventing the cart from moving. The block above the activator rail doesn't force the blaze into the tube as does in Single Player Creative. I've gone into creative mode on my server and tried for about an hour to fix, tweak, and alter the design to get the second issue to work. I've compared it to the world download, thus the conclusion this is multiplayer server issue. If anyone has a fix, I'd love to hear it. I'm tempted to deconstruct this and try the Mumbo Jumbo design instead. :/

The rails aren't connecting correctly. I practiced on creative and got it no problem, but when I try it on a realm, it breaks.

Neat. Not too resource heavy (all fairly common stuff), and uncomplicated.

Didn't work out right for me at first. 1. I found that not using glass keeps the blaze from shooting flames, which for me, was how the minecarts kept knocking off the track as items. Solved that problem 2. I kept trying to put a cap on the killing shaft ("tube") that most likely causes spacing issues so I just built at lease 4-5 blocks up and didn't cap it. The Blaze are more likely to get knocked almost always by the slab and will fall down than escaping. This stopped my problems. Probably could still cap it but not 100%.

For people building this, I recommend NOT encasing the top of the farm in glass. Once you have everything set up and you're about to remove the glowstone, surround the whole thing with solid blocks. Make sure the Blazes CAN NOT see you. If they can see you, they will try to attack you, and they will wind up destroying the minecarts, which are a pain to set back up once the farm is activated.

For those who can't get the blazes to exit the first collection area (parallel minecart tracks): I could fix that issue by replacing the blocks placed at 3:04 with half steps. If that doesn't work, try two snow layers (3 snow blocks in crafting grid, place two of them so you get a very flat step). Sadly though the blazes will go berzerk if you attack ANY blazes in the area, even ones you encounter randomly in the nether fortress and even if you completely shut the farm. The minecarts in the primary collection area get destroyed all the time in the crossfire, so it's not really survival friendly unless you build a cart replacement mechanism and have an iron farm going.

In 1.11.1 and 1.11.2 the farm is broken, the blazes don't actually make it into the holding area, instead they get off in the activation rail and stop the minecraft and/or block other blazes. Has anyone found a fix for this? I've been experimenting with other methods of rounding up the blazes into the holding area because after that it works just fine.

Great design (again). It's really cheap, only a few rails and thats it. Have build X's blaze farm before, going to build this one now, think it's cheaper and more easy to build. Although his one used the translocater feature :)

Hey Snocrash. Made this farm in my 1.11 world to the letter, but I think there was either a change with activator rails, or a bug has surfaced, but they don't see glass or the trapdoor as a blocked area. This means that the blazes are kicked out at weird spots all over the track. I was wondering if you know a fix for this or is this something that could just break the farm? Thanks

So in FTB Packs there is a mob called a Bliss, its essentially the same entity just a different colour. Do you think that this farm is capable of carrying them as well? The minecart at the top keeps breaking. Halp? :( It seems that the blaze keep shooting it. Even though they're encased in glass and can't shoot at me. Awesome farm! It will be even more awesome once I've solved this problem.

Of the collection method in this farm was combined with Xsiumavoid's 1.9 blaze farm's killing method you'd have a perfect farm ^

@snocrash, I'm going to use the "killbox" part in my version of the blaze grinder. The one I made seems like it'll exist without the need for minecarts for a while.

What a useless change, mojang must know that all it doe is ruin previously existing builds. The challenge of fixing things is fun sometimes but I'm cheesed rn.

If you use the detector rail to trigger a dropper feeding a dispenser you can recycle the minecart back on to the track. Add a cactus to the end of the rail and a hopper where the blazes eject and it will be destroyed. With a bit of filling the gaps to make sure they eject into the tube, I managed to get it working in 1.11.2.

Sometimes blazes get off the minecart under the trapdoor or above the activator rail, instead of on the hole. I'm in v. 1.10 Why does this happen?

Idk why, but whenever the blazes enter the mine-cart and then get dropped off to get into the transport mine-cart, they will not get into the transport mine-cart. Any Ideas?

I must have made a mistake. The blaze just destroy the minecarts. When they don't, they don't get pushed into the crusher anyway.

i spent alot of time and resources to get this running in my survival world, it does not work because the blaze begin shooting and breaking the mine carts, do not build this blaze farm if you are in survival.

Is there any way to make sure the cart that brings the blaze to the chute doesn't jam? Mine keeps getting stuck if a blaze doesn't drop fast enough.

I'm on a server where i am able to silk touch spawners, would it be possible to make this design longer by putting the spawners next to each other about 8 blocks apart?

I buildt a grinder in 1.11.2 its a bit expensive on resource but works no use on minecarts and uses your blaze crusher
