Thanks for another great tour around a memorable boat, Toby. Just a note of feedback: during the tour part of the video (excluding intro and outro), audio seemed to come exclusively from my left side speaker. If this is a problem with the recording, it might be worth it to convert it to mono sound. Best!

Check out Finngulf we have a FG391 which is beautiful, hand built, silent below while underway and normally the fastest yacht between ports expensive when new but the quality explains why they were so expensive, even in areas it’s difficult to see are finished beautifully

Lovely boat very similar in design ethos and build quality to Finngulf they were design for 100% sailing very strong build just like your test boat below underway she is silent only the sound of the sea passing the hull such a different experience to mass produced yachts

Nice cabinets for stowage. Traditional design with separate head and shower. Too bad, they should have a transom gate that falls down to become a bigger swim platform. 👍

That throttle is the FUTURE for sure. Like driving a RC car or flying a RC plane - seems so elegantly intuitive. And you didnt even apply *any* pressure on approach to the dock, did ya?! lol. Captain nailed it! Great video Toby!

Linjett is well known among sailors in nordics. Their yachts are known for high quality and good sailing performance. They keep their value in the used boat market better than any other brand (X-yachts, Arcona, HR etc.). The obvious comparison to Linjett is Arcona - when you compare used examples of these brands you will find that Linjett is better and the materials they use is superior to Arcona (wear and tear) (examples from the 2000 +/- 5 years). For the sailing performance Linjett will not be as fast as similar size Arcona, but very close - in the other hand Linjett will be more comfortable in a bad conditions.
@conradverschuren8944
@conradverschuren8944 Год назад
Surely one needs a main anchor at the bow, or did I miss something? She seems set up for relatively sheltered waters. As for the thrusters, a lot of (unnecessary) technology with maintenance in my view. Finishing looks really good and high quality, explains the price perhaps.

In the Swedish Archipelago it is more common to moor at an islet, drop a stern anchor and have the crew jump off with a bow line, which you then attach to either some shrubbery/a tree/metal spikes that you hammer down into a crevice or some such. In general it is more common too moor your boat bow to shore :)

@TeeFunkable
@TeeFunkable 3 месяца назад
Yes, and also a total afterthought. One of my main gripes of Linjett, none of them have ever had a well designed setup for even the optional bow roller. You can have a roller and a windlass sure, but the space isn't great. In the Baltic sea, most anchor usage tends to be from the stern as bow is attached to whatever rock so this has a rear anchor windlass. I sail the area and much prefer anchoring out so seeing boats come out like this kinda makes my blood boil.

Why is there an anchor ⚓️ at the stern of the yacht?
@bicivini
@bicivini 4 месяца назад
Because in the Swedish „Skär“ (archipelago) with lots of small islands, the boats need to be secured at anchor firmly front and back. Cheers

We have a hull with "classic" contours at a price higher than that of competitors. That is, it will be tighter in it. We have a stern anchor so that the wave hits the hull, and the rain gets into the cockpit better. You can also throw the anchor directly into the tender so that it does not knock on the hull. There are large sails, but there is no rear sail. There is a table lying around somewhere. But no one will put it, because the wind will blow off the plates due to the location of the anchor. Excellent location of the refrigerator - it is necessary to place it higher so that the products fly further when the yacht rolls. In general, I like the trend when they take an old chest of drawers and call it Scandinavian design)) Toby, great review. Thanks a lot.

3:24 , 8kt on 11m LWL on fancy sails with gennaker at 100 awa on a nice breeze ... is plain disappointing. 182 disp/loa is way heavy for any 2023 standard .... I'm happy for this family-owned company to be doing well, I just don't see the point of using 90's designs in 2023 and pay 560k + vat for that.

too small for offshore. it gets nasty out there. its also fiberglas not ferrocement or steel. and finally it doesn't have a mizzen and if it did it probably would not be separately stayed. and what about that rudder? no inside steering position. that means you're sitting out there in nasty weather. don't like that open transom either. its not an offshore cruiser basically a day sailer. nope not for me. not much beam either I sailed on double enders do they even make those anymore? nope.
