Piracicaba Brazilian Sprouting Broccoli is my all time favorite broccoli cultivar to grow. If your a hot climate gardener and struggle to grow traditional heading types of broccoli - then you need to try growing Piracicaba Brazilian Sprouting Broccoli. This is the most heat tolerant broccoli I have ever grown. It produces tons of broccoli sprouts over the course of many months. Since it doesn't produce a large head, like traditional broccoli, I don't have to worry about it bolting as much. I always have a few rows of Piracicaba Brazilian Sprouting Broccoli growing as a back up, just in case it is not a great year for my other broccoli crops. I cannot recommend this variety enough for gardeners with warm winters, that struggle to grow broccoli. Plus, it grows great in colder climates too.
