As a 6ft, 230lb man, I'm always annoyed with how slow I am when sparring my fellow gym members. Sure, I got power, but it hardly means much when I'm too slow to reach the opponent or do a takedown quickly. Brock is much larger than me and his speed is exceptional. It's inspiring because if he can be that fast and that big, then I can as well. Im currently working to drop some unnecessary pounds and work on explosive speed.

Brock Lesnar, Diego Sanchez, Nate Diaz and Forrest Griffin were my favorite fighters between 2005 till 2011/2012… but when Lesnar came in and up around 2009/2010 and took the entire UFC by storm. Id never seen anything like it! From the first moment I saw him step into that octagon. And EVERYBODY AROUND ME, and EVERYBODY BACK IN THOSE DAYS LOVEDDDDD TO HATE ON BROCK LESNAR. I was one of few who actually liked him as a fighter… like Joe explained here, there was always some excuse fans and critics of the sport would give towards Brock and his skills and performance. He was a BEAST among Men… how could you not like the guy!? He was dissing and trash talking the UFC big sponsors before anyone else did. And nobody was gonna do a thing about it!! People like to talk about how he wasn't a "real fighter." He was given incredible opportunities because he was a star, sure, but what he did with them was Exceptional. It takes more than size, luck, and wrestling to win against Heath Herring, Randy, Couture, Frank Mir, and Shane Carwin, consecutively. He put the work in. A guy with under 5 fights isn't supposed to fare well at all in the second round when he's eating a knee from Frank Mir or in a grueling fight with Randy Couture. Trust me. Brock was a natural born fighter. That's why he adjusted quickly. He was putting the work in. He shut Mir down on the ground in the rematch like a seasoned pro.

Brock is a beast frfr. Ufc fights was entertaining and he never fear anyone like in wwe. True legend hate em or love em he take his career serious. I went back to watching wwe a lil more after his ufc career.

Imagine if Brock went straight into MMA after his college wrestling career and actually had highly developed skills and technique in both striking and grappling for MMA. He would seriously be so damn scary if not unstoppable. It’s already insanely impressive that Brock won the UFC heavyweight belt with less than 5 professional fights to his record and basically did it with absolutely zero striking ability. He won solely on his wrestling skills, size and strength which his size/strength is extraordinarily an unreal advantage but to have only one base skill to lean on in the octagon and win the most prized championship in the world is a testament to what an incredibly gifted athlete Brock is

He might've been a better fighter, but he'd have been a far more bland character.

he'd have a better mma career but lets face it, most of his popularity and the eyes he brought to the sport was from pro wrestling.

He took a near 7 foot guy down with 2 punches. Yeah striking isn’t half bad
