For those who bought this, 'Orzorz' projector discs are the same as Pococo. I have the Pococo projector but the discs made by Orzorz are a million times better. After spending over $100 on pococo discs, the only good one was the one that came with the projector sadly (the milky way one). Orzorz, on the other hand, have plenty of realistic looking star discs.
Yes great point. I also have the Orzoz projector and will be doing a review soon. Anyone wanting discs for either Pococo or Orzos get em here: amzn.to/40BCtYY
Very thanks for the information! I’m choosing right now a projector and consider either orzorz or pococo. The design I think is better in pococo, orzorz only have much better discs, but if it replaceable than maybe pococo is a good choice. Can you please tell more about noise, rotation speed and overall durability?) Maybe I need to wait for new video comparasion)
Great tip, thanks! I’ve been deciding between Orzorz and Pococo and definitely prefer the design of Pococo but I had heard the same about the Orzorz discs being better quality. Hadn’t realized they would be compatible. Makes that decision a lot easier!
Lies. I just bought this and I wouldn't pay more than 20 bucks for it. Actually, I wouldn't even pay that because I genuinely thought it looked that bad. It covers one small spot on the ceiling. Most of the image is blurry and it says in the pamphlets that is expected only 80% of the image will be in focus so thats just normal and you cant do anything about it.. The night sky it comes with doesn't look real what so ever. More like what Id describe as white paint spots splashed onto black. Thank goodness I'm able to return it, but wish I hadn't trusted any of these reviewers saying its amazing. I may never trust a review again after this.
Thanks for this. I was considering buying it from seeing it on another video. I guess that’s what they have to say when they’re sponsored. Shame, because I thought it would actually be decent
I have the orzorz.. which is basically the same thing. I think you are incorrect in your assessment. The Pococo is a budget projector that does a good job for the price. If you want perfection.. spend hundreds and hundreds. My whole family checked it out.. all adults.. last night.. everyone was impressed.
btw. I do not have any affiliation or incentive to give a bloated grade. I think the environment is a big deal.. totally black room.. smooth ceiling.. I believe you had a bad experience.. I just wonder if it was an expectation issue or execution issue.
Just purchased the projector only for the milky way star scene and can say it looks good but you can only focus some parts of the image. Not to mention some of the stars are almost an inch in diameter. If you have any other questions reply to this comment.
I just got one, I'm a little disappointed the images only rotate. They don't move, so if you buy another disc like meteor shower, the aurora borealis or the jellyfish world, the image stay frozen
I just ordered one based on your review. I'm sure it will be great but I don't think I'd call it a "budget" projector. Amazon has a lot of other options with good reviews for a quarter of the price.
Nice hope you enjoy! In terms of budget, this is indeed one of the budget options for a slide projection style planetarium! Otherwise, yes there are many Laser & LED projectors that are cheaper for the price.
I’ve been waiting on something like this to release! There is the Sega Flux, so I’m so torn between the two. I saw something like it in some KDrama yeaaars ago! I just wanna be beneath the stars 😭😢😅
Hi, thanks for the great reviews. I'm considering the Galaxy star projector 2.0 vs the pococo setup. I know they are completely different tech but which is more realistic and enjoyable? Which covers a bigger space? Which bleeds less light in a room? I'm looking to use it mostly in a living room but sometimes in a bedroom.
Hi Steve, in terms of realistic nature, definitely the Pococo. Not sure what you mean by bleed less light, but, the Laser projectors are much brighter, where as the planetarium style projectors require very dark rooms!
Love your videos man, just wondering where you got those long RGB sticks that are resting on the ground in your background, they look awesome and I would totally buy some too!
Orzoz and Pococo are almost identical. Haven't tried the DS-FX, maybe I can get one for testing though. Stay tuned for the Govee Galaxy Projector video coming soon though!
Hi. Have u ever compared the pococo vs. Orzorz vs. LaView Star Projector? Would love to know your thoughts of all 3 whether or not you have seen them in person. TIA
Just purchased the pococo but saw the orzorz after the fact with its higher wattage I am waiting for the pococo to arrive to test if it isn't to my liking I will order the orzorz and test the 2
What the name of the song in the intro? It’s super relaxing. Awesome video production, by the way. I’m a total noob with lighting, but you handle it super well.
Can anyone attest to the durability/longevity of the slides? I've bought low end projectors before and they all have the same issue: Slides fade/discolor/distort after a rather short time.
It looks like you cant adjust the angle of it. I don't want something sitting in the middle of my living room as i want it sitting next to my couch projecting on the ceiling in middle of my living room
Hmm yea, they seem to be out of stock currently, you can always buy them from pococo direct: pococostore.com/collections/discs-for-projector - but usually recommend going through amazon and my links for reliable/trusted delivery
Is the home start flux a better unit, I love your reviews, I hope you do a durability review also, would it last more than 6 months. Homestar flux has plenty of users, these new projectors are too new on the market for any real life reviews. Good work
Not entirely, the whole disc is not visible, it rotates to change the "scene" of what's visible, so lets say 5 minutes from before will be a completely different part of the disc, it's how all of these type of projectors work - But yes it is an analogue medium.
Thanks for ur quick reply i do appreciate that! Ok i have another question if i buy this projector by itself for 99$ how many discs do i get for total? Thanks again
I don't want boxes of slides/inserts I need to store and manually change. I can't believe that it's beyond human capability to produce a high quality planetarium that contains ALL the images inside it. Where is that planitarium? Someone make it; China bros, get on it.
why te F... is it ONLY ROTATING!! man! whoever creates these projectors are sheeeeeeeps!!!! WHAT IF I DON'T WANT! THE ST...d ROTATION!? what now!! they lost a customer! voila! nothing else
