I didn't really like the feeling of the stock bushings on my Backfire G3 electric longboard so I did some research and ordered some Riptide APS bushings for it in 92.5A hardness as it looked to be the right hardness for my weight. I install them and then give my thoughts on how they preform.

Venom makes plug barrels for the caliber trucks. The plug is designed to remove lateral play from the trucks. I would look into a set of those board side instead of the riptide bushings you are using. The stock bushings were plug barrels for a reason.

Venom is my go to *but I hear great things about Riptide Krank* ⚡🤙🏼🤙🏼⚡ Kranks have more rebound than Venom but rebound is largely Preference, some people like more rebound, some like less. Unfortunately some people think "more" means "better" - an incorrect understanding. Speed demons have trusted Venoms for years, goin 50, 60mph on 70-80mm wheels. Riptide also offers WFB formula for the least rebound, worth a look for some, especially board side on front truck.

I just got another board so I'm going to try Riptide Krank on that one. I might make a video comparing the 2.

@@NickDelDuca I use Venom eliminator (similar to riptide chubby) shape in rear truck board side, great for minis and good for longboards

Most people try softer in front & harder in back for more stability & turning

How difference is acceptable between the front and the back? At what point the difference can become dangerous? Either difference in duro or tightening the king pin.

It's really whatever feels right to you but I probably wouldn't go to drastic ends of the spectrum. You will know what feels right. As far as it being dangerous that's really just when you feel like you don't have any control or are going to have issues with wobbles.

riptides are great. i always tell ppl to buy a few different durometers online. 9 bucks a pair. so instead if buying a kit, its smarter and cost affective to purchase some 89-90-93-96 or whatever they are. i have a ton. i also really like evolve bushing kit. those are awesome too.. the venoms were ok. but u spend like a dollar more u get better rebound and response from the board. also, for more stability without compromising the carve, u can get Array cnc machined washers with a higher wall. exway has em too.. good stuff bro🤙🏼

@Nokturne77 Tala the evolve kit bushings will work for the zealot… but i always suggest getting riptides by themselves instead of kit.. gives u more options for cheaper.. dm me on IG if u want more help ✔️

So you recommend 92.5 riptides on the back and 90.0 on the front??
@23jumpman92

Also, did you get washers with them?

@@23jumpman92 It's really dependent on your weight. But yes usually one hardness over is good in the rear. I am currently running 90 in the front and 92.5 in the back but that's really too stiff for anyone less than 200 lbs. I think the 87.5 in the front 90 in the rear would be better if you were 175-200 lbs. You can order the cup or flat washers from riptide when you order the bushings. Im currently liking flat in the front and cup in the rear. The flat washers let everything lean a little bit more so you can carve harder.

@@NickDelDuca Thanks man! I weigh 205 so I figured I'd just go with what u thought was best. Appreciate the response!
