Despite telling myself that I wouldn't spend any money, I bought two things at the recent Outside Adventure Expo. A tool roll, and this camp light. In this video I show you why I couldn't resist!

Great review! Thank you I only wish they had a remote or some kind of a phone control option. It would be great to switch on the camp lights from the tent when you hear a bear going through the trash.

I think it’s a fine balance between features and cost! I always have my keys easy to reach so I can set off the panic alarm if necessary.

Probably going to get this light but I really would have thought they would have offered a remote control by now. That would make it a perfect light.

This looks like a great option for over landing. A little large with the stand, but well worth the flexibility and the option to get it up and out of the way. Let the annoying bugs get up about 8’ from where I am. Like the lighting options as well. Thanks, great review and well worth it. I’ll be adding this light to my lighting options.

Right on...we use our DeWalt jobsite light, but this is nice (esp the size & rain proof rating). Thanks for bringing this to our attention 👍

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I've been looking at the Freespirit light, but couldn't choke down the price. Both lights are bulky, this one seems less so. I appreciate the discount code, I ordered the light and look forward to getting out in the field!

We got the light together! The main thing I wish that is changed in the second version is the stand. It definitely needs to collapse down more to be more compact. But The light is amazing and is more than enough light when camping at night!

A simple, inexpensive, fishing rod holder/ case off Amazon, makes for a great storage bag for the light, poles, and other accessors. I spent $20 US to protect, and provide secure storage for the lights.

Yeah I’m trying to get back to weekly videos! The Petzl is a really bright headlamp, but you can also get half decent rechargeable ones for a quarter to half the price on Amazon. They’re a quarter or half as bright though!

I thought about it, but does it need to be submerged? Rainproof is plenty for how I use it.

Would be nice if they had an option to be able to just purchase the light and not the pole. Since I shoot pics, I already have lots of tripod light stands.

@@RevereOverland At the moment, and for most of my life, my favorite solution is my headlamp with the red light. I did just find the Nite Ize 314RL with an amber setting which is nice. They also include a white bag that holds the light and also acts as a diffuser. We also have a Black Diamond Apollo lamp. Ultimately, I am looking for a dimmable, 2700ish K, LED solution to add to my truck. At the moment I am considering some rock lights installed on the side and back of my bed rack but need more info before I pull the trigger. I like that the LightRanger does dim to 30 Lumens. My concern with all these is the color temp. But that is absolutely a personal opinion. I like my lighting warm and cozy. It drives my wife nuts. I often cook at home with the lights dimmed to almost nothing.
