Here's a map of all the places that he mentioned in the video! www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?hl=en&hl=en&mid=1LGDyve1y6nyGoNmb-6k8tjzJef8&ll=20.837892690046075%2C-156.45929437728535&z=12
Ululani's is 100% the best shaved ice ever. On any island. In the world. If you want something natural I recommend strawberry (it doesn't taste artificial) if you want something tropical I recommend the pineapple, if you want something sour I recommend green apple, and if you want something artificial I recommend blue raspberry. If you're like me and want to make a rainbow, ask for strawberry, pineapple, and blue raspberry. Also I've heard the mochi on top is great. I could go on and on forever. The service is amazing and everyone is super friendly.
My goal this year is to be consistent in Uploading Videos about Maui. All your Maui videos are great and I am inspired by them. I am most likely going to create my own version of the topics you've discussed, I just want to thank you for the ideas and inspiration.
Thanks for all your Hawaii videos. They are very helpful to my hubby and me. We are heading there next month, first time to Hawaii! Can’t wait. Btw like your panda buddy. Thanks again!
We went to Teddy’s Big Burgers yesterday, delicious and the some! Saw there is one in the Seattle area as well, will have to stop next time I’m up there.
I love Foodland Farms!! My hubby and I went to Oahu last month and ate at the Ala Moana Center Foodland Farms. They had sooooo many food options at the food bars! Everything was delicious! We also loved Shirokiya Japan Village at Ala Moana...totally amazing!
+Jennifer Epps I need to check out the Shirokiya Japan Village again in Ala Moana. I understand they recently renovated.. did it seem newish when you went?
Yellow Productions I never got to visit the "old" Shirokiya. I've only seen pictures, but the newly renovated Shirokiya is VERY nice and seems very new! All my local friends are really enjoying it. You definitely must check it out next time you're in Oahu :)
For the budget wary the best cost performing lunch can be had at the Times supermarket at Kihei. Pick up the best poke in town, some Maui beer, and a musube, then head out to the beach behind the market. It’ll be the best lunch on the island.
+Scottman895 Travel My pleasure :). Just make sure you go in to the fish taco experience with an "open taste mind" -- if you're expecting a Mexican tasting taco you may be disappointed.. it's definitely a Hawaiian tasting taco :)
Aloha! I loved the video! Just a little pronunciation tips. Kihei is (key-hey) Poke is (po-Kay) You just inspired me to do a similar video from a local native-Hawaiian persons view. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Tasty Crust! Eat like a local in Wailuku, away from most tourist areas, but near Iao Valley. Prices are mainland, believe it or not. Famous for pancakes, but has local food as well. Ba-Le Sandwiches is best cheap Vietnamese food on Maui. I've been visiting Maui since 1977. Prefer the Big Island now, where I visit Sandy's Drive-in for cheap local food, but still go back to Maui every few years.
Aloha from Chicago! Pls, need BEST Food truck near Kaanapali Beach to take food to-go for Sunset viewing at the beach. Thanks and keep up with your amazing videos
@@YellowProductions Awesome! Side note THANKS for all the wondeful tips!! Very insightful for our trip! I also saw your video from the Andaz Resort! We stayed there!! Beautiful resort!!!!
My two favorites are Aloha Mixed Plate and Cool Cat Cafe, both in Lahaina. Both could be considered cheap to reasonable anywhere, not just for Maui. At Aloha Mixed Plate you can get a Shoyu Chicken meal with the usual two scoops rice, one of mac salad for $8.95. And it's served right by the ocean.
My poor baby I haven't watched the full video but let me take you to Coconut Fish Cafe and Gestes literally cried my eyes out good lol but thanks for the awesome tips, definitely took some notes 😊
Curious and don't mean offense to anyone in anyway! But it'd be nice to see a spot were locals of hawaiian decent go ?! All those patrons were'nt ....does a homegrown option exist or do they cook at home?!
Maui Tacos has really good fish tacos but my favorite thing there is their fish taco salad. There is one in Kihei and one in Ka'ahumanu Center. Paia has a lot of good food that won't break the bank Flat Bread Pizza, Paia Fish Market, and Cafe Des Amis are all awesome.
+socalseth I think its hard to have a bad time in Maui. Unfortunately I didn't make it over to Nicks... We took a trip to the Nakalele blowhole that day and I underestimated just how far away that is from Wailea :)

Yellow Productions You got a point there! That's a very easy thing to do with Maui not being as developed as Oahu. I'll luckily be going to both in January.
unlikeavirgin - Actually you don’t need a membership to buy Costco’s food. Their food stalls are outside the store unlike Sam’s Club. Well, at least that’s the case here in California, I don’t know about in Hawaii. I might be wrong.
Pro tip: learn how to pronounce words correctly before making a video. It actually does matter. Paia fish market in Paia is better than the one in Kihei. The side items are great there, I like the Cajun rice and Potatoes with the fish tacos. Ulalani got expensive shave ice makers to shave the ice very thin. It is the best shaved ice. The Dunes restaurant at the golf course in Kaluhui is the cheapest casual fine dining restaurant on Maui . My favorite is the blackened Mahi Mahi and Manoa wraps. They have one dinner that’s actually 9.99. Kihei cafe is good for breakfast. Tasty crust in Wailuku is good for cheap pancakes served all day. Serpicos has good cheap slices of pizza and Italian food. If your a backpacker and want the cheapest meal on Maui. Go to Costco’s by the airport and get a Costco hotdog and drink for 1.50.
Yellow Productions Thx for your response . I think I can help a little bit. Hawaiian words has 13 letters, 5 vowels and eight consonants. The vowel i in Kihei is pronounced e. A is pronounced AH. e is pronounced A. The sounds never change throughout the word. And certain letters together are pronounced uniquely. Kau is pronounced cow. Once you know the vowels you should be able to pronounce every Hawaiian word and Japanese name for that matter you see. And iyou will see that it’s easy. I love food, everyday I have some discussion about food and I try to find a new place. I found Greek food truck in Haiku today that’s awesome cheap eats.
@@reelreflections-us THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I'm from the mainland..This is what makes all folks beautifully unique..we can share our culture instead of criticize.😊
Hapa shack. According to google. I’m not there so I don’t know. I liked your video, so I looked up some of the places. Then I realized this was from 2016 so it could be outdated. I think a new 2019 would be nice addition to your vlogs.
It’s all changed…can’t even get fresh fruit smoothy and that was depressing! So many shops closed, just need better leadership to bring some energy to the people. I’ll be back in 2 years to be the Mayor and right the wrongs
He said it twice! Silly tourist. JK, thanks for the viddy. I'd also add Hornhito's taco truck in Kihei (thats... Key-hey). And the Jaws taco truck at the first big beach parking lot. Aloha.
Bogus dude...Trying present Maui food on only one side of the island. You missed all the best food off of the food trucks by Costco, like Thai Mee Up, award winning da bes...
