I've never seen a running VR4 for cheap, and every Soarer I've seen is more in the $15k+ range. The only SC300s that are actually expensive are low mileage, super clean examples like mine or ones that have been modded to the moon.

Word, here in Jersey too, & even with the RSX. The only ones at that price are the normal ones & they’ve absolutely been in a accident & about a good drive to the shore from being sidelined
A word of advice the Mitsubishi has the eclipse American has the eagle talon Mitsubishi has the 3000gt dodge has the dodge stealth The dodge stealth is the same car with different branding also costs a fraction of the price
Thats true, I owned 2 Eclipses built in Normal, Illinois. It's even stickered on the window where they originated from. I consider it somewhere in the middle, a half JDM car since it's a collaboration. The first and second gen Eclipses share heavily with Dodge and Plymouth, while the third and fourth share very little since their partnership was ending/ended by then.
The brz/frs/86 platform is also probably the most practical car on this list to daily even with mods. Its going to have a lot more quality of life features than a lot of other jdm cars simply because its newer, and with how popular it is, there are a lot of youtube tutorials on maintenance, mod installation, and common problems to look out for. If you're on a budget, chances are you're going to be using this as your daily as well. Old cars will ALWAYS need repairs and the parts are often harder to find. I daily drove a 240sx for years and it seemed like there was always something that needed work or had exceeded its lifetime. It was a great car, but extremely expensive to drive and maintain. Save yourself the headache and go for a newer car lol
thanks for giving the RX7 FC a good review. On my second one now (made the mistake of letting my son drive the first one) and after all these years I still love it! My neighbors all have MBZs, BMWs and Porsches and having owned them too, I'm so glad to have the RX7. It's a blast!
Love how the 3000GT is a minimum of $20k for one with 200k kilometres and has some engine problems. 😂 This is in Aus though, ALL our cars are at like 50% higher than everywhere else.
If you want a Supra without the Supra tax, get a SC300. Same chassis, suspension, power plant, everything except the body and interior. People compliment me on mine ALL THE TIME. Plus the IS300 is exclusively VVTI and when they went VVTI in the GE, they put in pencil thin rods that can't take boost. Contrary to what Brad said.
Your dollar isn't worth quite as much, so that does make a difference. They come out to about the same, except you can import cars from Japan at a fraction of the cost we pay. I mean, you guys actually got Soarers back in the day and can get them for REALLY CHEAP whereas we've only been able to import them in the last few years.
When you see a video like this titled "cheapest tuner cars/most affordable JDM/bang for your buck sports cars!" and its more than 1 year old, just skip. All these cars go for 10k-20k now.
Should probably change the title of this video ("cheap")...and if you're talking 6-10k...To not include a '04-'06 lS430 is questionable. Arguably one of the best built cars from the 2000s era.
I PICKED UP A VR4 A WEEK AGO FOR $2500 BUCKAROOS guy said engine was seized got it home and was able to turn it at the crank. I found out 2 days ago theres a hole in the engine block

thank you for adding the cefiro a31 in 3rd I love those car is super underrated because u dont see in other game like Forza, Need for speed and assetto corsa and this car even have the same coilover of a S13 (or 240sx, 180sx) I recommend to buy a project cefiro so u can have a rb25 engine of the car (I own a Nissan cefiro a31 and there are fun )
The FR-S is a cool car just takes a lot to get actual power out of them you can make him handle great and get a little performance out of it but it takes a lot to get some power out of those Motors
The Supra also got the 2JZ-GE, but those aren't as desirable as the 2JZ-GTE. That's why you don't really hear of them. Add to that the fact that most of them came with an automatic transmission.
Car channel that calls every car from Japan JDM. I see only 1 JDM car here, the Soarer, which is the same car as the SC300 but came with 1jz-gte and manual.

Don't listen to this clowns there are chasers at low miles clean condition for less than 10k....it will be non turbo and automatic and have an ugly brown interior..but it is a chaser under 10k worth buying plus you can swap all that like am doing with my jzx90 mrk ii rn
