I was born in Fort Worth lived here my whole life. Aledo was the only good place you listed. Anything north of Fort Worth has way to much traffic. You easily double your drive times you gave. South Fort Worth from saginaw, Weatherford, Aledo LaBella Ranch area is very nice. Go down to Burleson Mansfield. I will have less traffic than North Fort worth. For low taxes Saginaw, Benbrook and Edge Cliff. You’ll find your million dollar homes, high taxes in Aledo and Bella ranch. If you want to go a little further out try Granbury. Beautiful small-town life on the lake great town square, lots of good food and it’s a constant level lake so you don’t have to worry about it flooding.

Jay Take Profits what up Jay, I’ve been living in the metroplex since 97. Moved to FTW in 97 left in 06 to live in McKinney then Dallas bc I got married. I am now back. I absolutely love it here bro. It’s a slower town with tons of different culture, and interest. From sports, to religion, to family, to art, to food, to cowboys, to gangstas, to Mexican, to, black, to white, to Indian. Seriously brah it’s a chill spot. The entire metroplex is a big melting pot of diversity and culture.

@@Onelove858 What up One Love. You really can’t go wrong in Fort Worth. Each and every side of town has culture. From Cowboy/ Western culture to Latin/Mexican to Black/Urban to Asian. College football, shopping, food, family and if it’s not here in Fort Worth you will find it in the metroplex. Millions and millions of people here. Friendly, hard working yet fun and loving. God Bless you on your search.

This is useful information if you’re moving from another state but the cost of living in Texas especially Fort Worth is higher and affording a new home to native residents is way to expensive every new area has HOA fees and requirements for instance, like in certain areas of keller you have to have a certain cable, electric companies that are required. You dont have the option to choose your own. Parts of Arlington/Mansfield nice areas new home but you cant choose who you would like as your service provider.

Great video, been watching a lot of your videos which is what has sparked our interest and kick started this whole thing. We are from CA looking to move possibly out to Texas. On another video that we watched Best Cities to live in Texas where you mentioned one of the cities that we started looking into The Woodlands. We noticed how amazing the city seems to be, but now also came across this video lol and came across Aledo which seems to be a growing city and close to Ft Worth. What we liked about The Woodlands is the amenities, shopping area such as the woodland malls and of course trails and outdoor activities. How does Aledo compare to The Woodlands as far as outdoor activities, amenities such as shopping or nearby malls things like that. We have a 7 year old and 11 year old that we like to stay active with so things like that is what we are looking for.

victor burela come on down! Neither nor, the best place to live in all TX is Grapevine,TX. Ft Worth is OK but for sure life is way too short to live in Dallas.
@geoffannekarpa2199
@geoffannekarpa2199 3 года назад
It really depends on what you are looking for in a town. I grew up in The Woodlands, lived in Dallas for a bit and now live in Benbrook (15 mins south of downtown FW but still enough in the country to have neighbors with horses and chickens). Fort Worth and the Woodlands are two very different places. The woodlands is more of a luxury bubble about 45 mins - 1 hour away from downtown Houston (depending on traffic). They have wonderful schools (private and public), lots of great shopping, entertainment and lots of outdoor amenities (pools, trails, etc), but again they are a bit of a bubble when it comes to upscale living. Fort Worth (in general) is much more laid back, wonderful private schools but public schools are iffy depending on which district/town you are in. Lots of outdoor activities (hiking, water parks, rivers, etc). Great museums, entertainment venues, etc. Wonderful food (except Asian food. Most of the great Asian food is on the Dallas side). Lots of space (square footage and acreage) for a lot less. More of a small town community feel. As far as the suburbs go, The northern suburbs tend to be more upscale, better shopping, luxury homes, etc (but more condensed and more traffic) whereas the southern and western suburbs (azle, Aledo, Benbrook) stick to that small town country feel with more space (less traffic and easier access to downtown FW), horse farms, large family gardens, more homeschool families, etc. unless you’re looking in the brand new suburbs out by Aledo and then there are a lot more of the brand new neighborhoods popping up with luxury homes running from 300k-2mil. Aledo itself is about 20-30 mins from downtown FW with not so much traffic (compared to Houston or Dallas). They have wonderful schools and are growing a lot in terms of new housing, shopping, restaurants, etc. if you’re looking to be more outdoors with Children, FW has more to offer than The Woodlands. Again it does depend on where you are in FW but in general there is a lot more to do and a lot more diversity in outdoor activities.

Thanks James! Garland is a middle class type area. It really depends on what you’re looking for. It’s not far from downtown and is in a great location for employment. Schools are ok 👌 not top 20% but top 40%. Homes are typically around $250K-400K built around the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. For 1500-3500 sf And just like most suburbs, some parts are really nice, others are just ok.

While this video gives great options for the *perfect* communities, there are many other places to live in DFW that might not have perfect schools or luxury homes but are still safe, offer great communities and more affordable housing options. Look up places like Benbrook, Mansfield, Azle, Aledo, Granbury. We have a 3 bedroom on 1/4 acre priced around 190k in one of those areas. A lot of it depends on what you’re looking for but those tend to have options in your price range with more of a small town country feel but still close enough to enjoy the city life.
