Thank you for the video. Have been fighting eczema and experimenting with foods for a long time, here are my takes on your recommendations: 1. Focus on whole foods over processed foods - AGREE 2. Avoid your own food triggers and sensitivities - AGREE 3. Eat foods that you enjoy - DISAGREE, fighting eczema might require people to try new foods which they won't like (at first) 4. Eat enough protein - AGREE 5. Eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day - DISAGREE, many people with eczema (me included) might be salicylate or histamine sensitive, following this advice would worsen symptoms 6. Consume adequate fiber - DISAGREE, if people have symptoms and sensitive gut, fiber is not a good thing, had the best results with a zero fiber diet when symptoms were worst, poops were perfect 7. Avoid linoleic acid - AGREE, but DISAGREE with alternatives, had terrible eczema with olive and coconut oil (salicylates), ghee works ok for me 8. Supplements - AGREE and DISAGREE, people need to be very careful here (additives etc.) 9. Be mindful of calorie intake - AGREE 10. You don't have to be perfect - MOSTLY AREE My additional tips: 1. Write food and symptoms diary - invaluable information for assessing your intolerances 2. Don't be afraid to be very restrictive if desperate - carnivore diet is the ultimate elimination diet, few days on it proved my eczema is very influenced by the foods I eat 3 The worse the symptoms, the worse the intolerances - once your symptoms are under control and gut healed, your intolerances are less severe (you don't need to be on a carnivore diet forever) 4. Become familiar with the most common intolerances associated with eczema to know what your problem is - dairy, wheat, salicylate, histamine... 5. If your problem is caused by a microbiome dysbiosis (SIBO, SIFO), you dont want to feed your disrupted microbiome, quite the opposite - research low FODMAP diet 6. Even with perfect diet the root cause might be elsewhere - environment, cosmetics, mold, fur, pollen, dust etc.

Definitely agree with your disagreements! Maybe this video is a little too generalized. Personalization is key when it comes to fighting a skin condition! Thanks for taking the time to provide all this valuable info!

My daughter has suffered from eczema and applied steroid cream for 25years,she has just started a carnivore diet and in less than a month she has started to clear her skin.She is putting less and less cream on,she still needs to moisturize her skin but she is so happy now,so much calmer than she used to be.She eats mostly red meat eggs and cheese.

YAY! Congratulations to her! I healed my eczema previous with exactly the same diet. This time around. has been difficult because I've been trying to follow other people's advice and it hasn't worked. I'm going back to carnivore, even though it is more difficult for me cooking-wise.

Tip from me: check where you are allergic or intolerant for, skin problems become worse from inside. So for me when I eat soya, e471, it become worse! It’s all about proteins. Yes, eggs and dairy are bad for me too. Drink enough water and don’t shower to hot. It’s a lifetime struggle.. the body fight against healthy stuff and it’s really annoying!

@@FightingEczema I recently found out mushrooms are really effecting my skin too! So I have banned them too. But what to eat? I don’t know anymore.. I’m exhausted and always itchy.

Thank you! I love your philosophy of eating. No diet fits all. I know this from previous experience. But it's nice to know that I can occasionally have a piece of birthday cake! I healed my eczema once before with Tapping and being on a carnivore diet. But this most recent flare up has been challenging and the carnivore diet has been more challenging to do due to my change of lifestyle. Your video gives me a new hope for healing! I'll be following you!

Low carb & avoid aspartame works for me. My early fatty liver markers, arthritis & gout dissapeared, & my excema did too. Happily, I'm also fine with dairy & eggs, here, & bone broth etc. I minimise oxalates, & can only get away with nuts every second day.

Rob stuart would disagree, he was vegan vegetarian first and that helped but nothing really helped him as much as the carnivore diet did, what you think about carnivore?

I am definitely a Rob Stuart fan! I think the carnivore diet works great for some people and so if that’s the case I’m all for it! I’ve seen people heal on all types of different diets so I really think individualization is key.

Yes, this is quite common. The gut issues may be making the TSW worse. I suggest focusing on the gut issues.

What test is available to check food allergy or food sensitivity?
@FightingEczema
@FightingEczema 6 месяцев назад
The main test that I see used is called a IgG food sensitivity test but some healthcare professionals do not like it because it can be inaccurate. Personally I would recommend doing an elimination diet or using a diet and symptom tracker to record the foods you eat and see if you notice any problems. I have a free diet and symptom tracker you can download on the Fighting Eczema website! Also, sometimes poor gut health can make it seem like you have food sensitivities when you actually don’t. Check out my latest video on gut health for more information!

You don't know much about Topical Steroid Withdrawal. You think eczema and tsw are the same. They are not. How can you help when you don't actually know in details about the condition? The cause? The best person to help is Dr. Rapaport who has been helping people with this condition since the 1970s and who is a proper dermatologist and who have done peer reviewed researches on this.

Hello! I understand eczema and TSW are different! These are just general guidelines that can help with inflammatory skin conditions such as them. Hope you understand.
@Johnnymahon218
@Johnnymahon218 8 месяцев назад
@@FightingEczema with tsw the skin oozes plasma non stop. Plasma would run down and drip from the skin. It would wet the clothes and bed sheets. Not immflamation. With tsw the blood vessels on the skin can't close so that's why the constant oozing.
@FightingEczema
@FightingEczema 8 месяцев назад
If you’re in the oozing stage of TSW I highly recommend checking out our video on No Moisture Treatment. I have seen it help many people speed up their healing. Let me know if you have any questions!
@Johnnymahon218
@Johnnymahon218 8 месяцев назад
@@FightingEczema the oozing stage comes immediately a week after using the steroid cream. The steroid cream closes the blood vessels. The corticosteroid replaces the cortisone your skin produces. After you stop using the cream the skin no longer produces it and can no longer close the blood vessels at the surface, thus the oozing. And its too hard to apply any creams to oozing skin anyway. And I stopped using cream for a while because they irritated the skin. And the oozing stage is pretty much the first stage. So you actually don't get there later.
@FightingEczema
@FightingEczema 8 месяцев назад
@Johnnymahon218 I agree 100%. The oozing stage was the worst for me. I wish more people would understand that using topical steroids stops your own body from producing natural steroids. How is your skin now? How long have you been going through TSW?
