Pete, you guys have to do V & A now! Pete, even if you don’t want to go, and I hope you will (don’t you have to dress for some of the top Disney Cruise restaurants?), imagine Denni dressed to the nines! Corey in a tux! Or Pete, imagine dressing like a Victorian gentleman for it! I could see Corey dressed like Oscar Wilde!

No disrespect to Pete, but when you consistently bring up the fact that this is a survey for foodies, then disregard Victoria and Albert's because you have to wear a jacket?? It's a five diamond restaurant!! A true foodie wouldn't use that as an excuse to pass this one up. Shrug.

We ate at O'Hana the last week of January and didn't feel rushed at all, I think they have worked on not rushing people through their meal. It was a Great experience for us!

When you guys do a poll with so many options, you should eliminate the ones with the least votes and then do a final poll! May get more accurate results I’m on a diet and this episode is making me hungry 🤤🤤

With respect, I personally feel that 'FOODIE' means a person that has an extensive pallet and can understand flavor profiles just by reading the menu and know what they should expect from the meal. It doesn't mean that you must spend $500 to appreciate good quality food. Some of this panel have specific issues with what they will NOT eat; If you are a real "foodie" and giving a review, you should be able to appreciate meat, seafood and plant-based in order to give an objective opinion.

I don't understand the hype about the Wave. It was a forgettable meal when we went, and I'm not that picky.

I love the discussions and hearing people's different opinions. Very interesting!

I am a foodie. Restaurants depend on who is with me & what type of atmosphere I want. I don't do rides or meal plan, so I always try different resort restaurants. I make reservations before my trip & it makes me get away from my hotel area & try different transportation. If plans change, I can cancel/reschedule.

The elephant in the room is of course Florida’s greatest restaurant- the one that the Dis have seemingly never gone to - Victoria and Alberts. It always makes their signature restaurant reviews a bit like rating NFL quarterbacks without discussing Tom Brady. One rather moronic panellist opined “ I don’t like it because I have to wear a jacket !” Thank goodness Jerry Sydow made the obvious point. Really strange.

I’m watching you guys at 1am and I’m literally laughing in tears when he’s complaining how you have to walk from bay lake tower to the contemporary for food...and you say get off your asses we aren’t the thinnest group the walk isn’t going to kill us I laughed so hard I woke my husband up then had to replay it back lmfao thank you for the laugh you guys are great I really enjoy your videos! Btw the wave we go to about 2 times when we come to Disney and we come to Disney about ten times a year we are dvc members etc hi from New Jersey!!

I think that a better title for this show would have been "Best DVC Resorts for food" not foodies.

So glad to hear they are turning Kona around! So going to try it our next trip. It used to be one of our favorites.

Idk if agreed that a place needed a signature restaurant to essentially be on the list. To me being a foodie doesn’t mean really expensive food but just finding good quality food. It could be a food truck, spring roll stand in MK or corn dogs in Disneyland 🤷🏼‍♂️. Different definition of foodie I guess

So...is there a market of people who just buy DVC and rent the points without actually visiting the resorts? Or is that not financially viable (ie the points cost way more than it does to let people rent them).

Strongly suggest you have another poll and specifically state whether you are considering eating at the resort or its proximity to other eating establishments. The bottom line is if people don't understand the question then the results of the Polll are invalid.

Recently tried ‘The Wave’ for the first time. The whole experience was like sitting down to eat lunch with my Grandmother.

The salmon I had at the Wave in December was the best salmon I’ve had anywhere in my life

i agree on O'hana breakfast. Not worth the price and very rushed (I went 2 weeks ago). Never again. Artist Point is the best character meal experience I have ever had and the food was great.

DisUnplugged, In the very, very early years there was a number of restaurant's at W.D.W. where for gentleman a jacket and tie was required and for ladies evening wear. Over at the Disney Village was the Empress Lilly riverboat restaurant and at the Empress room was one of the best and most expensive meals on property for dinner. the chef's set meal would have set you back $30.00 + tip's etc. in 1975. Sorry Pete without a tie and jacket you wouldn't have got past the front door. You'd have had to have eaten over at the Campfire Snack Bar at Pioneer Hall, snack's $.75- $1.50. Cheers, Chris Perry.

The weird thing is, Pete has promised a review of Takumi Tei which is indeed excellent ( I have eaten there twice). But he will apparently opine that “ WDW has a new no 1 restaurant “ and yet - he hadn’t eaten at V&A for 20 years because they make him wear a coat !!!!!

We had a sucky experience at The Wave. I was SO EXCITED to try it because of The Dis and their high praises. Service was stupid slow... It's a large restaurant and they didn't have enough staff (obviously). My crab cakes came out, and my husband's didn't. The reason? The waiter pulled his order because they were burned. We appreciated it, but when it did come out, the cole slaw served with it was HOT and gross. It was cold on my plate, so what the heck happened there? My scallops were just okay. Dessert wasn't very good. We won't be going back. I do agree with Pete that Flying Fish is AWESOME. Joey is the best waiter everrrr. He has been a cast member for a very long time.

Pete needs to go back to Narcooses It is my favorite On par with California Grill, but more laid back The views from the window tables are breath taking I do not even touch seafood Their filet is amazing and always perfectly cooked. My husband loves the scallops Ask for Chevy for your server. My husband loves the scallops. Every time we eat there(every trip) my husband waits to complement the chef that prepared them You seriously need to give this restaurant a visit

Totally agree with Pete on Takumi Tei. It was completely awesome and Pete is right about the Japanese Waygu. It was incredible

You also need to review the Trattoria for dinner Their cavatelli and meatballs are to die for My husband and I usually eat there twice

Breakfast at The Wave is our favorite on property! Excellent quality food, wonderful service, and unbeatable price (for Disney). We haven’t tried dinner yet, but we hope to try it soon.

The Wave has the best plant based waffles!

I always wondered why this channel ignored Victoria and Alberts. I assumed it was because of the cost, but now I know. Pete - who apparently ate there 2 decades ago - is so much of a manly man that he can't be bothered to put on a blazer. Really? They don't even force you to wear a tie anymore. I think you can even get away with a t-shirt underneath the blazer and some slacks. Hardly a monkey suit for one of the highest rated restaurants in the entire country.

If you're including all restaurants that are within reasonable range to a resort, which is correct to do, does Saratoga get any consideration given it's restaurants are basically all Disney Springs?

I don't like Gasparilla Grill. Not my favorite quick service. But I do think GF is a decent foodie destination. I love Citricos and you still have easy access via monorail to the Contemporary for CA Grill. The Contemporary and GF really should be tied because of easy access to restaurants at either resort. I think Boardwalk (one of my favorite resorts) ranks high because of proximity to Epcot. I'd rank it #2 because of that.

Pete keeps referring to a stay at GF with his mother. I tried looking for a video about that. Did he make one?

Great show. I would love to know which DVC resorts has the best bar lounges for cocktails and appetizers.

The word “foodie” is an affront to gastronomy. I’m sorry, but pork belly, filet mignon and four cheese mac n cheese is not gourmet fare. Pontificating Pete strikes again and I don’t think I’ll watch another show. I’ve worked in fine dining for twenty years, and every time a guest says “I’m a foodie”, I know they are looking for pork belly, filet mignon and four cheese mac n cheese 🙄

Saratoga Springs should be #1 due to its proximity to Disney Springs. You have many of the best restaurants at Disney World in walking distance. If I was going on a Food-cation to Disney I would 110% be staying at Saratoga Springs.

I'm sad that DVC store upped their price for renting points to $18.50 a point. Now I'll have to use other rental sites that don't charge so much.

Disney Springs is EASILY foodie central at WDW, not EPCOT (so maybe Saratoga deserves a shoutout?). Agree with you on Takumi Tei, however.

I COMPLETELY agree with Pete’s top 5 more so than the way it was listed. Do you think ppl didn’t think to vote for Bay Lake because it’s technically separate from contemporary?

Have to disagree with Pete about Polynesian! We have had breakfast and dinner at 'Ohana and loved them both every time! It's great to get to see Lilo and Stitch at breakfast! Even my kids love the dinner! Captains Cooks's is a great option too. Pete is too uppity - SORRY PETE! Most normal - blue-collar Disney fans cannot afford $600 for a family of 4 to eat at the new restaurant. I just feel that Pete is not in touch with reality some times! I like when Jackie, Julie, Corey M. and Deni talk on behalf of married people with families. It's good to get a full prospective on things instead of just 1 point of view. I still love the Dis, but have to disagree this time Pete!

Odd episode (for me, at least lol). It was pretty good, but Pete a was a bit off his rocker today. Constantly interrupting and at times getting unnecessarily testy for no real reason. Not as bad as he can get at times, but more than he should, especially if you're the host. It's hard to take his (or anyones) opinions seriously when they get overly emotional. But everyone else did well.

Ohana has great atmosphere...but it's basically just standard Asian buffet.

Yes, V&A is excellent and probably factored in to that 2nd place rating. Why won’t TheDis do a dining review of V&A? They can put on a jacket for one night. That seems like epic laziness and it’s not really an excuse not to do a dining review of a classic signature restaurant. People have echoed my request for a review in the comments several times. How can Pete and the others say GF doesn’t deserve a top-rated spot on this list when they just refuse to go to review V&A? It doesn’t mean that it isn’t excellent and totally deserving of all of the accolades and 5 💎 awards. It’s only one of two 5 💎 restaurants in all of Central Florida iirc. You can’t dismiss something as bad or inadequate simply because you’ve refused to go for two decades. Please just Bite the bullet and do a review before dismissing it outright 😏 If they can suffer through going all the way over to Cosmic Ray’s to try a crappy plant-based burger when they know it’s going to be bad or trek all the way over to Fort Wilderness for the buffet there, they can take two minutes to put on a jacket and have one dining review for V&A. Come on guys
