Just for future reference, Liberty Tree is ADA friendly. There's a lift to get an ECV or wheelchair to the tables on the first floor and there's a handicapped accessible restroom on the first floor as well. Otherwise I really enjoyed the video!
Serena Westling, I was going to post the same thing. I have taken my elderly grandmother to Liberty Tree Tavern multiple times and yes they have a handicapped accessible restroom plus the lift. Thank you for pointing this out.
Yeah Skipper Canteen! Glad to hear it placed at the top. Hands down my favorite table service in MK, a must-do on every trip. Thanks for another fun show guys!
Charles Nye can you please tell me what you order that is so good? I’ve been twice and was disappointed both times. First time I had the pork, last week I had the whole fried fish. I didn’t like either!
@@kristinacarson4150 the not piranha is my favorite. I preferred the original dish more than the current one but I still really like this iteration. It's not the best steak on property but I do enjoy that as well. I've also enjoyed the chicken. I was a bit underwhelmed by the lamb but the sauce and veggies that came with it were really good. I'm looking forward to trying the seafood stew in May.
I'm loving this series because it gives a quick overview in one go (we're trying to do our research). Also glad to know Jungle Skipper Canteen continues to please. Thanks Team Dis!
I'm going to have to try them again. We went last February and it was terrible. Meat was a step before being dehydrated, the whole fish was flavorless....and our hostess was so lackluster on the "tour" and I dont think it was the schtick.
@@kristinak6092 Oh no! That sounds like the theme gone overboard the other way as rugged explorers. Hope your next dining experiences are much tastier and more pleasant!
DisUnplugged, For table service circa 1974 let's give you some prices. Town Sq. Cafe: $1.50-$7.50. Plaza Rest: $0.55- $2.50. Crystal Palace: $1.95- $3.75. Liberty Tree Tavern: $2.95- $5.50. King Stefans Banquet Hall, ( Cinderella's) $3.25- $6.50. I suspect meal prices might be a little higher these day's, I also wonder how many still serve a 70's menue? Cheers, Chris Perry.
I get it Deni. The Plaza is about the only place I go in MK anymore. Just the memory of Mr. Weaver coming in to entertain at lunch every day gets me in there. It absolutely is old school Disney. Meatloaf and never-ending milkshake for the win.
I have to say, I used to ding Sean pretty hard when he was reviewing meals, he just wasn’t a good reviewer in my opinion. But by God he is an INCREDIBLE travel agent! Always putting his customers first, always knowing just what to recommend, what to advise. So smart about what works, what doesn’t, great alternatives! Anyone who gets him is very lucky!
Liberty Tree Tavern is my number one. I love eating lunch there. My favorite meal is the pot roast and the Ooey gooey toffee cake. 😋 I also enjoy the cheeseburger and the turkey meal. Hubs likes the Colony salad. Everything I’ve tried there has been yummy.
I had some very good ham, mashed potatoes and stuffing and gravy at Crystal Palace. Plus seeing the Hundred Acre Wood characters was awesome. Eeyore smelled bad but I didn’t want to lower his self-esteem.
Hi Sean from a wet, cold & windy uk 🇬🇧. I LOVE Liberty Tree Tavern and you are right it is a chance for us brits to experience a Thanksgiving meal. We found the food very good and that pudding 😍. Its my #1 choice for M.K.
We went on our first trip in 2017, loved the food but the service was appalling. Trying it again when we visit in August and hoping for a good result. Also from the UK and can confirm it is wet, cold and windy 😂
@@amyyeomanss I'm sorry you had bad service. We had a lovely lady in August 2018 who was very attentive..hopefully you'll get better service next time x We could do with some hot weather couldn't we? I'm sick of the wind & cold lol x
We loved our first visit to Skipper Canteen so much last year that we spontaneously went the next day for lunch too! Out of all our meals at WDW, it’s the one restaurant we keep talking about and have agreed is a must at any future visits! Best food, best waiters, & beautiful atmosphere! You can only eat so many burgers, pizza, etc. at a theme park before you need something different... and this checks all the boxes of what we look for!
Not surprised at all that Skipper Canteen is #1, because we think it should be! Good table service dining in the MK is very hard to find, but SC is the exception. Absolutely LOVE it there!
Disagree with Sean in regards to lunch at Be Our Guest. We go there every trip for lunch and love it. Especially worth it if you are on the dining plan! Big fan of the turkey sandwich and frites!
There is a handicapped bathroom on the main floor near the kitchen. There is a handicap elevator to take you up the four steps from the lobby to the seating.
My wife loves the skipper canteen! I’m my partial to the Liberty Tree... It was not mentioned that the lunches at LTT are not thanksgiving related and are fantastic as well. Lunch is also cheaper if you just want to experience the restaurant.
If you want to have a good meal and experience at Cinderella's Royal Table...go for a LATE dinner. I have been for all 3 meal times, and dinner was BY FAR the best. Also going late at night when it's calmer and you can look out at night time views of main street is awesome. We also found the service to be the best then too. Breakfast and lunch are rushed and noisy and the meals definitely aren't as upscale.
Omg this was the first time we realised that Dreams covered the UK from when Shaun said that he has UK clients!!! Can’t wait to book our 14 night 2021 Disney vacation with dreams from the UK!!!!! 💕💕💕
With regards to ADA accessibility, our viewers may be interested to learn that the resorts do not charge for parking for those guests with a VALID handicap placard. This was confirmed to me this morning from the Disney disability services. It only took about 2 days or so to get an answer back on my question.
I must be the only one, but I absolutely L-O-V-E CRT & BOG... I could eat my weight in the "Clock Strikes Twelve" dessert and the "Master's Cupcake". I had a delicious steak at CRT and the chicken at BOG lunch was also delicious. My only complaint about BOG is that when we sat in the West Wing it was too dark to see our food so we used the flashlights on our phones to see what we were eating lol
I'd put LTT overJNCLSC. We ate at both at the end of 2018 (during the unusually cold days). Had a great tasting meal and service at LTT. However, our dinner at JNCLSC (wow that's a crazy long abbrevation) was less than stellar. Sat our party of 6 right at the entrance, with the cold draft from outside. Waitress barely talked/joked with us. We were on the dining plan (4 adults, 1 child, 1 "freebie" baby. Our little one who got the meal was told to pick 2 sides with the meal. So she did. But then when desert time came, all the adults were asked what they wanted, but not my girl. Why? because she was only to have 1 side with the meal, and the other was desert. We weren't told at first, so there's my girl watching everyone else have deserts and only having to share with us, instead of having her own dish. Rather disappointed. for what it's worth, food was good, but the service really dumped down in my book.
The Plaza has much lower price points compared to other table services, especially at Breakfast. One of our favorites and I don’t think it should be compared to the other higher priced table service Restaurants without mentioning it’s lower prices.
I absolutely love Skipper Canteen, but its not a place to bring the whole family. The menu is too limited to please everyone. You can, however, order off the "liberty tree" menu while at the Canteen. They share the same kitchen
Liberty tree is a must at MK. We recently tried skipper canteen and it was fantastic as well. We went to Skipper canteen during not so scarry dressed as Indiana Jones and Marion from raiders. The skipper told us about an Indiana Jones reference that was in the bulletin board.
@@cindyfan91 Steve was a good ride critic, but a terrible food critic (he had the palette of a 5-year-old) Charles was the best food critic-adventurous palette, yet understanding of other people's preferences.
Swamp Sagacity I agree Charles May have been an overall better food critic like you mentioned. However, Steve gave us a more overall feel for what a typical family with children and simpler tastes would like. I miss them both equally!
Last year when we went to DW my wife (without telling me, and her not knowing its reputation) made a reservation at Tony’s. Grumbling and expecting Italian gruel i was pleasantly surprised that I liked my order quite a bit.
Disappointed that Tonys was last. 20 years ago it was our favorite place to eat everytime we were at MK. Our first trip back this year we are skipping because of the reviews we've seen. Crystal Palace is always a must for our family (even before it was a buffet) for breakfast and the Pooh characters. Would love to try Skippers Canteen such a unique menu and the atomsphere seems amazing.
We really enjoyed Be Our Guest for dinner. I have to say the steak was the best I had the whole trip. To us it is worth the 2 credits. We also really love LTT. The food is amazing there.
Liberty Tree Tavern is my favorite I recommend Patriot's Platter: Roasted Turkey Breast, Pot Roast, and Oven-roasted Pork with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Herb Stuffing, and House-made Macaroni and Cheese Declaration Salad Tossed Mixed Greens with House-made Dressing , Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake Vanilla Toffee Cake, Chocolate Sauce, and Vanilla Ice Cream.
A question about your survey, are you asking people to rank the restaurants, or are you just asking for their favorites? If the latter, the rankings would be affected by A LOT of factors, especially, # of experiences, whether the voter has experienced all of them, etc. The difficulty of securing a reservation @ Cinderella's Table might affect where it sits in the "ranking" . It seems from your discussion that you are asking folks to vote for their favorite, not rank them. Reporting popularity is what I think you are doing, not ranking value.
Love crystal palace, love liberty tree, Tony’s did once but it’s expensive for Italian food I can cook at home. Did Cinderella once for the experience but a one and done.
Sound seemed a little fuzzy in this one but great discussion! Wish sit down options in MK were better, the surrounding resorts have much better options
Tony’s pasta seems to be pre cooked which means the outside is mushy and the inner is al dente. All the other things I tried was like a frozen dinner from a grocery store. You are right that he quality is no longer there. Also, we have been rushed through characters and they didn’t stop at some tables. Lately not very good. Last time I went to a sit down restaurant was only 2 months ago. Bummer
I feel the castle restaurant belongs their I've been the experience was awesome but the Price for it and the food you would thing it would be awesome. It's ok food but you pay for the experience that's it.
Best meals I have had at MK- Jungle Skipper Canteen and Liberty Tree Tavern. Crystal Palace best buffet/character meal. For the price Cinderellas Royal Table is shockingly bad. Havent tried the other sit downs mentioned!
Idk if My family got lucky or what - we had breakfast at CRT and it was wonderful! Our steaks were cooked perfect, we were not rushed at all we had all adults with us and honestly it was so fun and delicious! They brought my mom a birthday cupcake and we sat for a while. Also we had a 7am reservation so idk if that has anything to do with it 🤷🏻♀️ I would go back for breakfast for sure we LOVED it 💖
Hey fans....13k views and less than 600 likes? You owe them a like or even dislike for watching! This channel is informative and entertaining, Why not acknowledge their effort in some way?
My sister and I did CRT on our first trip ever to disney world back in December. I just happened to check the reservations available about 2 weeks before the trip and got an 11pm reservation. The food was...... ok, which would've hurt more if we hadn't been on the dining package. The experience with the princesses coming around was okay also, nothing extremely special. And good lord can they not give you something better than a plastic sword or wand if you're spending $200 for TWO PEOPLE?!
I’ve been to Skipper Canteen twice and was disappointed both times. The pork was so dry and the whole fish was bland and flavorless. What am I missing? What’s the best choice?
@@janett253 oh-I totally agree with you that it isn't good! I am just curious if no one voted for it so it would fall beneath Tony's or if it simply wasn't included.
Cinderella's was amazing 30 years ago. The pre-fix menu and annoying character interactions really brought the place down. It used to be fine food and romantic dining. Now it's like Chuck E. Cheese.
No, it’s actually nothing like Chuck E Cheese. Cinderella’s Royal Table is a wonderful opportunity to spend some time inside the iconic castle that is basically the symbol of Disney. The characters are great and do an amazing job of making everyone feel special, especially the kids. The food is good, but the experience is what I remember. I would highly recommend this!
@@xhpy6760 Imagine it with no characters, Victoria & Albert's quality food, and no screaming kids. It used to be fine dining. It is like Chuck E. Cheese now by comparison. You don't know what you are missing. If you have kids that want to meet characters, I'd still recommend it. But for adult couples without kids looking for a romantic fireworks show, it's gone from a 10/10 to a 5/10 at best.
DIS Team, have you heard anything about Citricos recently? When we were there over Christmas week, our waiter said the staff was told they would hear more details/information on Jan 15th about the restaurant undergoing an overhaul.
Jessica i know its so upsetting! We are coming in April and we still booked! I didnt see blackout dates but the way the waiter was speaking it will 100% happen in 2020
@@weedle77d40 I was just wondering if there was any newer info. I am not sure it was ever officially announced by Disney to become V&A Bistro.I actually think a retheming would be nice for Citricos. I like it there, but it just seems to be missing some wow factor. It has better food than Narcoossees. However, Narcoossees is so beautiful being down on the water....
Dont really think having people vote for their one best restaurant is the best representative of how the restaurants should actually be rated. IMO you should have people rate all of them from 1-X and have X be worth 1 point and vice versa, which is easy enough with some form makers out there. My guess is you'd end up with results that wouldn't shock you as much.
Magic kingdom has some of the worst choices at Disney for food. When we went there we went to Ohana and Whispering Canyon for dinner just so we could actually get something good.
Tim McGue lol I had two comments on this video one about how good Skipper is and the other about not having Horseshoe on the list, I personally haven’t tried it but I know last year or year before I knew they filmed a review, I know Pete and Steve Porter was in it.
@@timmytimmy17 I haven't been in about three years, but it was a very good all you care to eat experience. The description of being like Garden Grill is accurate (minus revolving restaurant). The salad and dressing was good & fresh. Corn bread was delicious. BBQ was good.
It’s a real shame the food at Tony’s isn’t better (even though I’ve personally always enjoyed my food). It’s such a great location and it has a great theme.
"And the food tastes like it was original Magic Kingdom" to funny.....Crystal Palace is just for the characters but the food is hit or miss just like you said.
Interesting that the three restaurants with the best views or prime real estate are the lowest on the list: Tony’s, The Plaza, and Cinderella’s Royal Table. I think Sean’s point of Disney not caring about quality because they will be full regardless is a great point. 🤔
Liberty Tree doesn't work for me....I'm a Vegetarian. It's not Liberty Tree's fault per se, just that Thanksgiving really isn't much of a Vegetarian holiday. Never been there...probably will never go.
How much more does it cost to go through dreams ? I planned my last trip and I got everything i wanted but it was so hard. However this time we have more cooks in the kitchen so maybe going through an agency would be a better choice
