I got my Ioniq 5 two months ago. It beats the ID4 or Mach-E simply because its charge speed is so much faster. Makes a huge difference on a journey with multiple charge stops..

The 4 dots on the steering wheel is morse code for the letter "H" (for Hyundai). Just reserved an inbound Limited AWD and been watching a lot of videos on the Ioniq and truly appreciated your approach and more in-depth look at the mechanical aspects.

I was just watching the N presentation, and Hyundai is doing things right. The N74 Concept is absolutely stunning.

Got one December 2021... still lovin' it especially since fuel prices have sky rocketed...solar panels on house roof means it's pretty close to zero to charge it about once a week (approx 430km range per charge for local driving). Love your reviews nearly as much as your build series, too. Thanx for all the blood, sweat, tears and zany/goofy humour you put into your channels.

i drove the car last year in the best version... great and much more space inside that you expect. Nice features like the flexible console, heat pump, best display ever and cool power (300hp version). Great that youre so excited.

Fun review. The wheel looked like a kaleidoscope when you had it up in the air and gave it a spin. I'm sure everyone has worn a Chiquita PLU#4011 sticker at least once. That road with the whoops where you were experiencing the coasting vs re-gen settings looks so fun. Cool to see this review. I know Aaron (Life of Palos channel) bought an ionic 5, and had good things to say about it, but always fun to see your reviews.

The design of this thing is smashing it, love the Hyundai designs, even though I drive Audi and VWs I'd consider this any day

It's a great retro look and more interesting looking than common teslas. I've see a few on the road and they're bigger in person. Their N Vision 74 concept is even better looking - like a cross between this and a de lorean!

Hyundai came a long way. Way better than when they first were imported.

My Uber drove a Kona EV today. Great for what you need it to do. Had 45k reliable miles. This Ioniq must be great…

I do like the low speed electric noise it makes. Now if they had a Jetsons sound pack you could install that would be awesome.

I really like this car too. I looked into getting one and the availability is very limited and the dealership 60 miles from me was charging a 10k markup !!

Great review as usual. I prefer the EV6 designwise...for the EV6 they actually already offer a performance version, the GT with 585 PS. That does 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and a max speed of about 160 mph (260 km/h)

This is my current favorite electric car. I think they overall nailed the design interior and exterior. I think it will age well. Looks futuristic, but not overstated. Somehow still fits in with normal cars. I could be wrong, friends disagree, but overall I approve of the styling. I also think it's a great overall package. Like a jumbo hot hatch with good room. I would never go for the white interior though. Death sentence for my cars. I also feel they did a good job integrating the screens in the dash and leaving an airy interior. I like physical controls, but this seems usable. The biggest complaints I have heard are about charging issues. The price isn't horrible either, but obviously still not low enough for everyone to consider. Fun video, Sarah!

Back to the future

I think it looks like the robocop car because it kinda looks like a 2023 version of the Ford Taurus. With Hyundai doing that new 80s concept car the N Vision 74 I only see good things coming from Hyundai in the future

Love the video Sarah! Thank you so much for your awesome content! Just wondering if you have any level 3 DC fast charging to test out your EV reviews? This cars (and EV6) 800VDC battery architecture have phenomenal charging curves in my experience. I completely agree with you on the reservoirs all being so close together, someone's going to mess that one up 😅. Also noteworthy on you mechanic score of 3.4 wrenches as long as the individual is completely aware this high voltage DC battery will kill you instantly upon any miss understanding 😲.

Oddly enough, I just came back from a test drive with an Ioniq 5. Though only the RWD top trim. Fun to drive, could get the rear to step out a bit on loose ground even with ESP on. But the rear window got super dusty from just a tiny bit of dirt road. That could be quite a problem for people how love to keep their car clean. So, I test drove the whole family now. The EV6, Ioniq 5 and GV60. My favorite is the GV60. The Ioniq 5 N will come next year, just fyi.

One thing I think you're missing on your EV reviews is battery cooling. Heat management for the batteries has a big impact on their service life. While I am on my second beer already it might be worth looking into. And get a drone. Pretty sure you can get some amazing wide angles with the AZ landscapes!

This is very tempting, would definitely rank higher for me than a Tesla. Because you can never really own a Tesla...I support Right To Repair and I'll vote with my wallet for mfgs that actually have tech data and a parts counter.

Gas powered and 15k cheaper, and it's a car usable and desirable for most people.

I feel sorry for electric car drivers and future owners. They will simply have to learn the hard way .. as I did. These things are a huge hassle and a outrageous expense in the long run. Batteries are very ... very expensive to replace ( thousands of dollars) ... and make no mistake, you will be replacing them. These batteries are highly toxic to our environment, with a high potential for disaster to our surroundings. Plus I regret all the lost hours at these charging stations. I wish I knew all this before I bought my car . Do your homework before buying !

I love this car and wish I had one and enjoyed your take on it. I could be wrong, but I think what you're looking at under the lid of the front storage cubby is not a motor component but rather is the on-board charger for converting AC wall power to the DC power that the battery needs.

I would really like to see what the interior of cars' dashes looks like in night mode, along with front and rear outside shots with the vehicle lights look loke. I have never seen anyone do this in their reviews. It is something I think potential buyers would be interested in, and help your channel stand out evern more from the rest of youtube's reviewers.

Yay, you're reviewing my car! couple of things-the back seats do recline more if you pull the seats forward, the only downsides I find are that the android auto is wired only, and the 21 model comes with Type A USB, other than that it the business. They are teasing an N version for later on this year.
